This little volume is practically a copy of the author's talk before the Technical Publicity Association of New York, at the National Arts Club on January 14, 1909. The appreciation with which those remarks were met, the inquiries received for copies ofthem, and the recommendation that they be published, encouraged their issuance in printed form. By request of the Advertising Men's Club of New York and of the Technical Publicity As sociation of New York, copies were printed at that time and distributed to their memberships. This present edition is a reprint in response to the continuous demand during the past twelve years.
