Words take flight in the hands of a poet, and in your hands you hold a whole flock of them. In this volume you’ll find the complete poetry of ‘Cascade’, the expanded and refined poems of James Wylder (‘Cryptos’), as well as the entire text of his play ‘Paper Gods’ for your reading delight. In these pages you’ll find joy, sadness, light, darkness, love, despair, longing, and relief, all flowing in a running cascade. This collection includes such favorite poems as ‘Japan, Oh God, Japan’, ‘Yours, in Effigy’, and ‘You Silence the Stars’.
This is definitely one of the best if not the best book I've ever read. The way that James writes is beautiful, interesting, engaging, and unique, and I can't get enough of it. Each poem in the collection has so many layers to it, which adds so much depth to the whole ensemble. The play in with the poems was also incredibly done, hilarious but yet action-packed and touching. I can't wait to read more of his writing!
