Megan Atwood draws the reader right into the story. Maiv is a high school student on the right track. Her want for just a little more comfort for her family motivates her to join a contest where she could win $10 million dollars. She just needs to complete 10 tasks at the request of the Benefactor. However, it is not that easy or simple. Things fall apart quickly. Atwood's cliff hangers will entice reluctant readers to read all of the books in this Hi-Lo series.
