Megan Atwood lives and works in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where she teaches creative writing at a local college and the Loft Literary Center. She has an M.F.A. in writing for children and young adults and was a 2009 Artist Initiative grant recipient through the Minnesota State Arts Board. She has been published in literary and academic journals and has the best cat that has ever lived.
Megan Atwood draws the reader right into the story. Maiv is a high school student on the right track. Her want for just a little more comfort for her family motivates her to join a contest where she could win $10 million dollars. She just needs to complete 10 tasks at the request of the Benefactor. However, it is not that easy or simple. Things fall apart quickly. Atwood's cliff hangers will entice reluctant readers to read all of the books in this Hi-Lo series.
