I really love this cute remake of this book. Isla and Tristan are the main characters and the author pictured tattoo artist Rick Genest "Zombie boy" when writing this book. This book is perfect for my halloween romance month. First of all this is a similar remake of Beauty and the beast. But Tristan is a biker and he looks like Canadian Rick Genest Zombie Boy. I love tattoos but in real life this guy is so hot. It's really taboo to have such a full body tattoo as a skeleton.
The book starts off with Tristan growing up in wealthy family his father is very mean and abusive. Tristan had a disorder that as a young boy he had to use a wheel chair. The housekeeper was Isla's grandmother. Since Tristan was home schooled Isla grandmother would bring Isla to play with Tristan. Then one day Tristan and his mom decide to leave their father.
The story starts off with Isla working at her parents book store and she is a complete bookaholic. Tristan is now a bad biker whose gang is respected and feared. Tristan has never forgot Isla so when he returns he focus is claiming Isla. Isla who sweet and innocent has no idea who this skeleton tattoed guy is but she is intrigued.
The story is cute and at the end when I read the authors bio. I loved how the author Glebba Maynard included little inserts that reminded you of the halloween movie "The Nightmare Before Christmas".
Through the whole book when Isla was decribing his tattoo...I just could not picture it in my head...Then I googled Rick Genest "Zombie Boy" and now yes...I can picture that as my Tristan.

I really loved this book. I wasnt expecting romance book of the year. It is a remake of the Beauty and the beast. But it was very well written and just warning you that this book is not for everybody. He is a Beast AKA very mean that had me so mad!!! but I love this cute Halloween month book. love love love love and love!! 5 loves for Me l

ARC Honest review

HOLY MILLION STARS!!
I just finished this book and let me first say I am a huge fan of off all of Glenna's writing every book is FANTASTIC but this was MIND BLOWING!!! I do not know how she did it but she did OMG!

I have this huge grin on my face right now!

I will not give away anything about this book because you just have to read it! It will pull on your heartstrings, make those heart strings race, hair on your arms standing up, gasping, rocking back in forth in your chair (glaring at your husband because he attempted to speak to you during it) your heart will stop and then start racing again, and then in normal Glenna fashion she will BLOW YOUR DAMN MIND.

She can't remember, and he can't forget..

Oh my my my.... I don't even know where to begin with this beautiful story.....It's heart breaking, frustrating, and heart warming all at the same time. Glenna does a great job at introducing you to these two wonderful characters. In the beginning my feelings toward Tristian were guarded. I was unclear as to what his intentions were. He seems kind of cruel yet guarded at the same time. As the two spend more time together I can see he is fighting a battle with his emotions. Isa can see it as well, and lets her self fall a little more for him, and begins to demand her way back into his arms. Once, the truth is revealed it was a little heart breaking, but I was so happy these two found their way back to each other. Loved it. Haven't had a book draw me in so quickly in a long time. Refreshing read. Thank you to the Author!

She can't remember and he can't forget

Those words haunted me throughout the book....as did the authors muse for Tris...that is 1 scary looking dude!!

Tris has dreamed of having Isa at his side since they were young but circumstances forced their friendship apart. But now Tris is back and ready to make Isa pay for not remembering him and he is really is quite cruel to her, but Isa actually loves it...so in your face Tris!

This book is HOT, and the anticipation is hotter...made me squirm!

Then Isa remembers everything...and it's not for the faint hearted. But it does have a HEA!!!

I was loaned this book on the suggestion of a good friend who loves to read the same types of books that I do...sexy, dark, mysterious and always entertaining. I had only ever read this author's biker book series so I was not quite sure what to expect from this modern re-telling of Beauty and the Beast and although it might have been slightly reminiscent of that dark fairytale, this book was a whole lot more depraved and full of suspenseful mystery.
I liked Tristian and Isabella's characters well enough and hated Rain (that witch!) and between the complicated and twisted plot and the various club "brothers" and Isabella's sisters, there was no lack of interesting and complex supporting characters.
I enjoyed the story for what it was...a tale of getting back what you once held dear and lost...and learning to overcome childhood trauma to have the life you deserve to have as an adult.

What the fuck is wrong with these people? I was trying really hard to understand where Tristian is coming from, him being hurt because his BFF didn't remember him, but the cruel way he treats her, that shit is just all kinds of wrong. His treatment of Isabella is downright abusive, who treats someone they supposedly love like dog shit? The worst part about this toxic relationship...fucking Isabella not only accepts his god awful treatment of her but she actually craves it...I guess some people just deserve each other. There was nothing even remotely cute nor loving about their relationship...that shit was just all kinds of wrong. The only thing I found I liked about Tristian was his inkwork, there is nothing likable about Isabella.

Its a pity really, because I think I would have really liked this story had Tristian not been such an abusive asshole and Isabella such a pathetic excuse for a female...

Wow Beauty & The Biker is a heart warming romance read but not all hearts & flowers for Tristian Vandacamp & Isabella.

Tris had a hard upbringing, his father was an evil man and was angry at him for being a sickly child, his only friend was a young sweet Isabella.

However fate tore them apart and Tristian never forgot his Isa and fought for her to come back to him. He has changed over the years in looks and attitude but deep down he is still the loving boy Isa fell for many years ago.

This story has hot love, tears, twists and drama ~ Basically is has it all.

Brilliant standalone read.

This is my first book by Glenna Maynard, Beauty & The Biker. I love Beauty and the Beast so I was very curious to read her twist on the story. Then to add Jack and Sally from Nightmare Before Christmas...brilliant.
Isa helps clean the Beast's castle with her grandmother as a child and that is how the two meet. But, fate and darkness contrive to keep them apart for just a little bit. What is totally awesome...the Beast is tattooed from head to toe to look like Jack. So, even with True Loves Kiss, he doesn't turn back into the sexy prince. He stays the sexy dark prince even with the HEA. Good first read.

Wow! Had to read this one in one from beginning to end, only stopping to eat dinner and open a bottle of wine!!

I love this authors books, always. This one took hold from page one and held me till the very end!! Just the right amount of dark mixed in with perfect twists, great character building, hot sex and the angst and love combination Glenna always brings to her novels. Yeah, this one is a must read!

Ok here we go. Not an ARC read I would have paid double if I could have read this last week. I couldn't put it down. This book is kind of a hybrid of classic Maynard genres and I loved it. I loved the characters and the storyline was edgy with a number of twists and turns. The story was solid. Do yourself a favour, read it you won't be disappointed.

I have to be honest I didn't much like it the first time round but as a second time read it was completely on a different level, whether its because I have matured I don't know, or as I am a blogger and now articulating my feelings better I understand better and that makes more of a interesting read, I am going back through my books with a fresher approach so hopefully this won't be the first of my re-reads that I change my mind over.
The image of Tristan is imprinted in my heart and brain the abuse that boy endured at the hands of the one who is supposed to love him was horrific. It was an unusual angle as it was the male who suffered the abuse yes there have been other books where this has taken place, but it's Tristan's reaction that makes this unique. So much so that the underlining message for me especially is that for you to understand as a reader is that to obliterate the boy looking back at him in the mirror was his abuser the cause of so much of his pain, he had to disfigure and disguise himself with the aid of Tattoo's and that I can identify with.
When you look into a mirror and see your abuser looking back at you it is a very hard thing to take and as such it hit home to me very hard. Abuse as a child shapes you into the adult you become and if you haven't had a guiding light its hard to find the nice road, the good in people everyone you meet you assume is there to hurt you in some way for Tristan his guiding light was his Isa. At first you are confused as why he is so hateful to her, why it hurt so much for him that she didn't recognise him,but as the story progressed you knew you were coming to an unbelievable ending. It was well written flowed with ease and a damn good read, my only niggle was the swiftness to the end, I would liked a little bit more of their story as they became them but other than that it was good. The abuse that they both suffered at the hands of their parents was awful. Yes she did suffer abuse at her parents hands and you need to read it to understand also at the hands of his disgusting father. I loved the book this time around, well worth the second read. Glenna Maynard had me from the first page and kept my attention till the last. Tristan stole my heart

This is the first book I've read by this author & it will definitely not be the last cause I friggin' loved it ! Tristian Vandacamp is rich, powerful, feared & the President of the Depraved Sinners MC. He was sickly as a child being confined to a wheelchair for a while because of a tumor on his spine. His Father saw his illness as weakness & treated him horrible for the rest of his childhood, he abused him physically & verbally. The only light he had in the darkness of his childhood was his best friend, Isabella who would spend her days with him playing games & keeping him company. Isabella never treated him any different because he was in a wheelchair & the two of them loved each other very much. While on his deathbed, his Father summons him telling him that Isabella's Father owes him money & he wants her instead so she can give him an heir who is worthy of his money since he doesn't think Tristian is. Tristian had to go away for several surgeries when he was younger & when he returned Isabella did not remember him or their friendship making Tris very angry with her yet still so much in love with her also. Tris is furious with his Father for requesting Isabella be brought to him to sire his spawn so he pays his Father & takes over the debt himself. Tris wants Isabella for himself & he is not going to let anything stand in his way, not even her memory lapse. This book was so hot but it was also sweet, my heart went out to Tris & everything he had to endure as a child, his Father got what he deserved.

Wow! No doubt I am a huge fan of Glenna Maynard's work, I have not read a book by her that was not completely phenomenal and this one is no exception! Amazing, phenomenal, sensational, none of these words even do it justice. I do have to say this is the first one she has written that has not completely gutted me, but it definitely is full of emotion. You can't help but just to be drawn in from the first page and you cannot put it down until the last, to the very end the last word. Actually I would have loved loved to see this as a series I feel like I just can't get enough of it. This was such an amazing twist on such a wonderful fairy tale of Beauty and the Beast, that you just can't help but to fall in love with the story all over again and almost see it in a whole different way. If you love a good fairy tale and love a good biker book, can you definitely need to read this along with any and every other books by Glenna Maynard.

I received this book from the author for an honest review.

I picked this story up after seeing it advertised just because I thought it might be good. It was very good! This is a very modern take on the old classic Beauty and the Beast and the main characters were exactly that, a beautiful young woman and a deeply haunted tattooed young man, hence Beauty and the Beast.
The circumstances in which these two young people meet is interesting, the 'beast' Tristan manipulates the situation so he can have 'beauty' Isabella under his roof, he clearly loves her desperately but at the same time he wants her to hurt like he does. Rather than feeling anger at Tristan for wanting Isabella to hurt, I really felt like I hurt alongside him, this situation was in actual fact very sad and desperate and I genuinely felt both character's pain. The ending was more of a shock but it explained the whole story so well. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, it was well written and had me drawn in right from the beginning, I will be reading more from this author very very soon!

At first I thought it was easy peasy lemon cheasy reading by the tittle and the cover. But it wasn't at all. It was really nice to read. The early paragraph till the middle section was easy, but disturbing at the end. Very disturbing.

She can't remember and I can't forget... how desperate it sounds. That was captured my interest at first. After I read few chapters, I have to finished it no matter what because their story was circle of desperation. One was innocent 'cz she cannot remember, but the other was full of rage 'cz he cannot forget. He put the blame on her the entire life when she doesn't know a bit what was going on.

At the end, you'll find the bitter sorrow and happiness when all the memories all back. When you loved someone who, with his cold hearted, put you in the situation you will never able to fight the desperation. Someone you always fighting for actually was someone who put you in all the misery.

So good so sad so full of anger, hatred, and a tiny hope of happiness by the guy.

*ARC & BETA READ REVIEW*
5 stars do not do this book justice. I'm a huge fan of Glennas work, but for me this has got to be her best standalone to date.
Tristian and Isabella have known each other since childhood but circumstances cause them to drift apart and when they meet up again Isabella doesn't remember him. This angers and upsets Tristian who, due to what happened to him as a child has changed, a lot. When Isabella does a deal with Tristian to help her father out things take a drastic turn. This has so much emotion emanating that you can't help but feel for both Isa and Tris, and the way Glenna details the surroundings, house etc enable you to visualise everything too. I laughed in places at the banter between Tris and Isa and cried at times too. There's one hell of a twist in it too which will explain everything and have you really breaking your heart for them too.
Fantastic read yet again !!!

(4.5 stars)

Wow. Glenna Maynard's spin on the story of Beauty & The Beast was fantastic. Things got moving quickly and it wasn't long before Isabella and Tristian were sharing his home while he tried to get her to remember their shared past, that she'd forgotten all about.

I really enjoyed the way the story unfolded and the twists and turns that happened. The sexy time scenes were pretty hot too! I've seen pictures of the Model/Actor/Show person that Tristian is based on, and Glenna described him spot on. If you haven't seen him, you may not be able to picture him, so check him out here: https://www.facebook.com/RicoTheZombie

If romance, intrigue, drama and a hint of the childhood fairy tale we all know and love appeals to you, then I highly recommend you give this one a go. A great read. There was one small thing, that I wasn't 100% on, which makes this not quite a 5 for me, but it is definitely a well deserved 4.5 stars for Beauty & the Biker from me.

Wow!

I will be honest and tell you that I was not sure what to expect with Beauty and the biker. BUT Glenna Maynard took my favorite childhood story and turned it into my now favorite adult story.

I mean Tristan is everything! He is hard, retentless, amazing, loving, caring, sexy, scary, demanding and so much more. There were times in this book that I wanted to kick his *ss because he was being a *ick. Then there were times that I wanted him to cut my dress off and have his way with me.

This book will have you hanging onto even word. *ucking brilliant! I promise you. Hell I pouted when I got to the end because I didn't want it to be over.

An adult fairytale at its finest! I love it!

I started this book tonight and finished it tonight! I've been looking forward to reading this book and I'm glad I finally did! Th relationship between Isa and Tris is amazing! In the beginning you think he's taking it too far but then you start understanding his pain. You start rooting for Isa. Of course, you have your betrayers but they certainly get what's coming to them.
This book gave me the feels. I love love loved it! The ending was happy, a bit rushed, but happy! The only complaint I can think is: I wish there were more! I want the rest of their story!!! A must read and definitely didn't disappoint!

This was a very twisted tale of a young woman who was childhood friends with a boy who later becomes her tormentor. He is upset that she doesn't remember him from their childhood. As the story plays out, you find out more and more from their past as she tries to navigate her present. Their connection is more than he thinks though and he finds himself starting to have more than revenge in mind. I thought the author did a brilliant job with writing this book and character creation. I was very surprised by the ending...what a shock at the revelations revealed. I never saw that coming. Well done. Recommend.

Tristan and Isabella

Goodness. Why hadn’t I read this book before?! I just been sitting in my kindle. Now I feel foolish. But not disappointed in what read at all.
I was captivated from the first word, enthralled throughout and left breathless in the end. This was a dark, suspenseful but beautiful story. Tristan and Isabella embarked on a gritty journey of forgiveness, uncovering truths and remembering the past that lead them straight to their undeniable friendship and a future both of the deserve. I enjoyed every single second of this story. Glenna Maynard never ceases to amaze me.

Isabella and Tristian share a dark past but she can't remember it. He has loved her since childhood, so to make her remember the past he forces her to work for him, as his housekeeper, by blackmailing her. Isabella is attracted to Tristian and sees goodness behind his hard ass, drug dealer, biker ways. He plays mind games with her, he arouses her and leaves her hanging. I enjoyed their back and forth, Isabella called Tristian out on his confusing behavior and didn't make it easy for him. Quick, sexy and easy on the brain read.
