Never play with the dead. That’s a rule twenty one year old college senior, Alyson Taylor should have followed. After moving into a recently renovated house closer to school with her mother and sister, Aly and her friends find a new toy to play with in the attic, a Ouija Board. Aly, and her friends start communicating with a spirit through the board. They have no idea who or what they’re dealing with. Only one thing is certain, no one will be the same after the spirit is finished with them. Will anyone survive The Dead Game?
Okay, so I'm supposed to tell you about me... Seriously, if I wrote a book about myself it would take you 10 minutes to read and you would be bored stiff after the first 2! LOL
I'm a full-time writer, wife, and mother. Which basically means there's always a surplus of pencils lost somewhere in my hair, I usually have some place to be(I'm always late), I have a bad habit of calling family and friends random character's names (from my books), I talk to myself because no one else listens to me, and I can throw together a mean dinner for 8 with only 10 minutes notice and four ingredients in the pantry, LOL.
If you can't find me on the sidelines of my sons' football games, online, cooking, cleaning, shopping, at the local coffee joint or on the phone wandering aimlessly throughout my house then I've probably hidden myself in my "bat-cave" to write.
I have a positive attitude, and absolute fun-loving approach to life. That makes it easy for the voices in my head to take over on a regular basis providing endless hours of entertainment for my pleasure, and hopefully yours.
Random facts about me:
~My favorite color is pink ~I have a Bishon Frise puppy named Cullen Edward ~My favorite music is hip-hop ~I have a severe addiction to coffee. So much so, that those in my inner circle refuse to speak to me before caffeine O'clock! True Story
KB Miller is a master when it comes to storytelling!!
The characters were phenomenal. I loved how each character had a certain part in the story. Ali was an incredible and strong willed character and I just loved reading about her.
The story-line was amazing. I loved how spooky and creepy this story was. I had the chills running up and down my spine and my arms as I read further into the book. I was completely convinced that I was within the walls of these pages and the characters. This is for sure one of my favorite reads and I highly recommend it!!
Wow we start off right in the middle of the good stuff. This is a short story that I hope to be a serial?! Possessions have always been one freaky interest of mine and this played right into it.
I have been on the hunt for a good scary book for quite some time. when I saw this one, I was intrigued. I purchased it and immediately noticed how short of a book it was. I decided to give it a try, good things come in small packages right?
The story started and it seemed good. I was able to get to know the characters... a little. everything happened very fast. some of it was confusing because of how much it jumped around. I got to the 70% mark and was curious what would happen next. At 73% the page said "the end." I was very disappointed to see that a book that was already so short had so much at the end that was not part of the story. I'm not sure if I will pick up the second one when it was released.
I think this book could have been fabulous. I would have liked to know more about the Ouija board, where it came from and how all of that played in to the book. There just wasn't enough detail.
Nothing like a quick eerie read that leaves you in suspense. I enjoyed this book. The unexpected twist towards the end was definitely a plus. Hannah and Alyson bring you a story of sisters who deal with a lost so differently and add a ghost to the twist. What will happen to this family and will they survive this new twist. Enjoyed the read and had me second guessing the outcomes making it a good read.
Short, spooky, hair raising story. KB you sure can entertain. Grabbed me from the first page until the very end..."The End....Maybe" are you kidding me? You can not leave me hanging to find out what happens to Hannah! Girl, I can't wait for the second installment to come out....Such a great read...I loved it!!!
