Tantalus #2

Integration

Rate this book
As the inhabitants of Tantalus work together to create a new home, the Arc Royal travels closer to the planet. No one is surprised to find out that the man that they call the Witch Hunter is on board and in command, although not visibly so. He doesn't wait very long to make his presence known. The Tantalarians continue to do what they can to help their new neighbors, including guarding those in need from danger. While this happens, new friendships develop, old ones strengthen and the two species begin to form more meaningful bonds. That doesn't stop those who will not accept change to cause trouble for the others. The Witch Hunter is in the background adding to the animosity and the confusion. Lieutenant Nobel greets her sister, but her sister's eyes are glued on Synric, not her son, as Julia thinks they should be. Synric is not very pleased with the sudden attention, but his actions speak louder than words. She doesn't know that he has been ordered to befriend her sister and it makes her wonder, is the man she is falling in love with what she believes, or is she making a mistake by trusting him?

Just wow. This book had it all suspense love and was a great addition to the series. I loved Synric and Julia and Holly and Taylor and Tannis and Soren. Must admit was some surprised at Cara's attitude toward Adele and her relationship with Terec. Ms. Abraham has truly created a villain to hate and the more I read the more powerful he seemed to be. He is going hard to get rid of and boy does he deserve to be gotten rid of.The book has places where I cried and I am so rooting for the good guys. The ending had some really big surprises and can't wait to see where this is going.

M.A. created an entire new world for us within the pages of this book. I'm talking, a planet that inhabits both human and alien forms AND they all get along pretty swimmingly.
Like every place else in existence, it's perfectly imperfect and has dangers.
For those readers that like to explore new existences, go on adventures and just escape to a new place, the Tantalus Series is for you...

Thoroughly enjoyed it. What a great read. The interaction between the humans and the Tantalarians were introduced in Integration. Human's flaws and strength were quickly shown in this book and the Tantalarian's wise and intelligence as well. In this new planet, the Arc Royal ship brought dark secrets and trouble unlike Noah's Arc in "First Contact". This ship brought the leader of the Witch Hunters in this new planet. A powerful madman who killed many members of the Arc Royal and brought fear and destruction to everyone. The Tantalarians are doing their best to contain the situations but still no luck. The revelation of the identity of the madman and his plans from Selena was surprising. A clever twist that I didn't expect. So many twists and turns in this book that left me on the edge of my very seat. Love the relationship between a human and a Tantalarian. The children would turn out to be absolutely adorable. The ending was spectacular with what Terec found out about the sea creatures. I cannot wait to read more about this new revelation.

A great continuation to "First Contact", book one in the series, the adventures of the humans who arrived on the first spaceship, being derailed from their destination, and their integration with the Tantalarians. A gripping story where romance is blooming, but so is the danger that comes with the arrival of another Earth spaceship on Tantalus. The few surprising revelations in this book make me want the next story even more. I can't wait. - 5 stars

It was great reading it, but listening to Mr. Callanan telling the story added another layer making it so much more. His voices are matching the characters so well, their emotions portrayed so real, I could not help get lost in the story. I hope he narrates the next story too. - 5 stars

Integration by M.A. Abraham is the 2nd book in her Tantalus series. Integration picks up not long after First Contact ended. For those of you who have not read the first book or my review on First Contact, here is a brief description of the premise of this series. This is a Sci-Fi story about two species (Humans & Tantalarians) that are forced to work together on the planet Tantalus. In the first book, Noah’s Arc brought thousands of humans to land safely on Tantalus, and get to know their new planet & their hosts, who look human, but they do have wings. There were the obvious differences, as well as an evil villain bent on destroying humans who have physic ability.

Abraham continues the world building in Integration, as another ship from earth, The Arc Royal is set to arrive on Tantalus. But with it comes a hidden villain who continues to hurt those working with the Tantalarians. The mystery as to who is bet raying them is the base of the story; but the romances that develop between the Tantalarian men and human women continues. We get to spend time with those we met in the first book, and meet some new wonderful characters to add to this mix. Both species do live by different rules, but they work together to form a common ground to help make things easier.

This is a hard review without giving too many spoilers, though the description above does explain a lot. There is a lot of action, suspense, romance, and some sexy scenes. There is some sexy humor with the human teen age girls watching the Tantalarian men play games in the buff. Cute. The race is on to try and find the villain, before he kills more humans. It is very exciting, and I loved the new relationships that developed, as well as seeing how the previous relationships continue to grow.

M.A. Abraham has once again given us an exciting and tense story of the two species working together, and the dark cloud of evil that threatens to destroy everything. I will say that this is not to be read as a standalone. You need to read the first book, First Contact to fully understand this planet they will all live in together. Integration was a fun and exciting story, which has us waiting impatiently for the continuation in the next book.

Integration is book #2 of the Tantalus series. The Noah's Arc has landed and the humans have settled in have made friends with the Tantalarians. The second ship, Arc Royal is now coming to land on Tantalus. There have been mysterious deaths and disappearances on this ship just like the Noah's Arc went through. On the Arc Royal is the evil villain that has been responsible for all of the tragedies. Everyone on the Arc Royal as well as the Noah's Arc people are afraid, especially since they don't know who or when the villain will strike next. Both the humans and Tantalarians are working together to find out who it is.

In the meantime, there are a couple of budding romances developing between the humans and Tantalarians. The two races are trying to make things work and the bonds and friendships are getting stronger. I love the characters and especially the budding romantic couples. There is plenty of action, suspense, romance and some sexy love scenes. There are also a few good surprises. I highly recommend this book and just love this series. Can't wait for the next one!!

I received this book in exchange for an honest review.

The one thing that I love about this series is the fact that there is no time jump. As soon as First Contact ended it picked up right as everyone was preparing for the Arc Royal to make its way to Tantalus. There are a couple of Revelations that occur within this story and also I know things are exposed in the story. This book gives a little more insight about Tantalus and what has transpired to the Tantalurians and how life goes on the planet.

There were moments where I hated Julia's, the heroine, sister. She just seemed like the biggest hoebag known to man and her husband just took it like it was normal. We do realize that it is normal within their relationship however her husband is not really happy about the situation but he knows that is the only way that she will be happy by allowing her to have an open relationship. If that is what she wants to do in life then so be it.

Synric is someone that we kind of know about but not really. Unlike the other Tantalurians he is not as open and out there as the others. Since he had somewhat of a disturbing background I can understand his hesitation to interact with the humans. Like I said before there are a couple things I was not expecting and how he ended up coming back with something that I've definitely was not expecting at all. It just seemed a bit weird but I totally get how something like that can happen.

In this book we realize who is is the Lead Witch Hunter and how he plays a part in the next book. They're also are a lot of Interspecies couples that are exposed and we get a glimpse of how everyone starts to feel about that. This book is a good setup for Hunter's Challenge. This book lets you know that the confrontation gets very heated in the next book and I'm super stoked to figure out how everyone deals with the Lead Witch Hunter.

As always Brian Callanan is Simply Fabulous and he will be one of my one click narrator's. There's just something about his voice that draws me in and makes me believe everything that he is narrating.

Integration, the second book in the Tantalus series, is a brilliantly composed epic sci-fi romance. M.A. Abraham is an extraordinary author with the capacity to enthrall the readers/listeners with an astounding plot and well-rounded characters. What's more, her focus is on the plot, characters, and outcome, rather than the sensual scenes. That being said, the romance component is riveting but not explicit, both violence and profanity are also limited.

Integration literally picks up where the first book left off, the Arc Royal making its way to Tantalus. The storyline is gripping, loaded with drama, intrigue, suspense, and romance. The interaction between the humans and the Tantalarians was very intriguing, the contrast between flaws, strength, and wisdom is evident. The characters are fantastic and marvelously developed, you root for the good guys and despise the oppositions.

The narration is exceptionally well done. Brian Callanan's performance will have you fully invested in the outcome. He hones in on the characters' personalities, emotions and applying the right amount of modulation and expressions, bringing the entirety of the story to life.

The combination of a remarkable plot, wonderful characters, and outstanding narration will leave you feeling wholly satisfied.

Have it in audio
Love how this pics up from where it left off from book 1. In this one there is sexy interactions , funny scenes and holding your breath with anticipation.
There are many chapters in this second book.
The ship that left Earth has landed on Tantalus. Both species have learned to live together. The human love watching the Tantaus playing ball in the node up high in the Sky. The Tantalus have wings to get around and the human girls can stare all day and night long . .
There is a mad man , a witch going around killing all the special humans . The mad man also is trying to lower the guards from the Tantalus mind to infect them.
Grab it and see do they stop him ? Does he kill anymore.

The narrator Brian did a masterful read on this

Plot. ⭐⭐⭐ stars
Story. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ stars & why
I found the first 2 books to be very Star Trek like. It was like reading the first couple episodes of a Star trek show. (The next generation Or Voyager ) very Gene Roddenberry ish.

Just can't get it to book 3 right now. Tried for 2 days, just not in the mood. Maybe I'll try later to do the rest of the series.

If it were a movie it would be PG13.
Heat. 🔥flames

Narrator.: BRIAN CALLAHAN

Betrayal of the story. 🥈 SILVER why: He was able to bring characters to live. Many many voices to do.

I found this book much too long to keep my interest. I liked the paranormal, fantasy element but the descriptions and overall flow too wordy. The narrator did his best to convey this story.

This is the second book I’ve read/listened to by this author and I can’t wait to listen to another. I’ve previously listened to First Contact, and I’m really enjoying this series. Aliens that are helpful and more humane than the humans, yet with their own faults as well, is refreshing. The Arc Royal finally reaches Tantalus. The “witch hunt” continues, as does the search to expose those intolerant people responsible for the murdered telepaths. We gain insight into the background of the peoples on each ship and learn not everyone had a clear agenda when they left earth. The Witch Hunter himself becomes more in the forefront. The Tantalarians attempt to maintain control of the safety of all their people and the newcomers, and help to integrate the humans with their new world. The humans however are not making their efforts easy.

This is the fourth book I’ve listened to by this narrator ( Brian Callanan ) and I would listen to another. He is great at bringing the stories to life. His female voices are well done. I like his cadence and he brings the right amount of emotion to the story.

There are no explicit sex scenes, excessive violence. The is the occasional swearing.

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and voluntarily left this unbiased review.

Of M.A. Abraham's series this is fast becoming my favorite. This book starts off where First Contact left off. The Tantalarians are busy getting the members of Noah's Ark settled and creating a home for the approaching Arc Royal. On board the Arc Royal is a witch hunter who has wrecked havic on both ships and becomes a destructive force once both ship have landed. The witch hunter can control some of the human minds. He is determined to get rid of those with special gift. With the most gifted of the humans and Tanalarians working together the witch hunter will have more of a problem than he bargained for. The twists and tune in this book are Intriguing. One of the twists has caught my interest is the Phoenix linking with a psychic human. Where could this be taking the series. Great story Mary Ann.
