The Seedlings series is for Kindergarten-First Grade level kids. It looked like the reading level for these is mostly the very end of kindergarten and the beginning of first grade.
I've liked most of these for my 'end of kindergarten' daughter. However, this one was not as good as the others. The dog breed names are complicated and difficult for her to 'sound out'. She got a bit frustrated with it. I think if you stuck with the wildlife ones you'd be alright for kids at the end of kindergarten.
