The mystery that has haunted the Delcarta sisters will finally be answered, but discovering the truth may be the last thing they learn. When Talia and her sisters take part in a live studio audience for a television show, the last thing the eldest Delta Girl expects is for her psychic gift to be unwillingly broadcast to the nation. Now the media are hounding her, and the sisters secret life and the power they hold threatens to become public knowledge. As Talia seeks refuge in a sculpture class, she meets mysterious loner and talented artist Marco Rodriguez, who seems to be the only person who doesn t treat her differently after discovering her apparent supernatural ability. But someone else has heard about Talia s gift, someone dangerous, and he will stop at nothing to get what he wants from her. When they come face to face, Talia realizes that the evil threatening her may be linked to her father s disappearance. She is thrust into a conflicting dilemma of wanting to free herself from danger, but knowing that doing so may mean she never gets to find out the truth about her dad. And when her investigations lead her to become unintentionally separated from her sisters, how will The Delta Girls use their gift without each of the five sisters being present? Talia will have to decide how much she is prepared to risk in order to bring about justice and put an end to the mystery that for the past decade has haunted their entire family."

Now, for the moment I've been been preparing for these past couple weeks, the final book in the Delta Girls' story (which I received as an arc copy in exchange for an honest review). Here goes everything.
"Touch" was such an epic finale to the girls' journey as young psychics finding their place in the world. It was suspenseful, enthralling, and only slightly predictable. I just KNEW somethin' was up with that Marco character. I approve of his match-up with Talia, though. ;) It's about time that girl found a nice guys for herself, since all her other siblings had jumped on that bandwagon already.
Talia, the final sister in our awesome quintuplet-psychic-sisterhood. She is an outed psychic, the public having been made aware of some of her talents early in the book. This sparked an instant popularity for Talia, though not always in a preferable light. Talia dealt with it in both a graceful and completely graceless way (hehe). That girl has become all kinds of sassy; I think Sasha is rubbing off on her.
In an effort to find some normality in her life, she has signed up for an Art class in town, spending three days out of the week working with her hands at sculpting. This provides an unexpected development with her psychic powers (which she had hoped to put off during these hours away from home). All in a day's work for a young, gifted Delta Girl.
Being the oldest of my own family, I could really relate to Talia's leadership initiatives within the Delta Girls' vision efforts. I understood her need to ensure that her family was well-looked-after and as happy and upbeat as they could be given the renewed efforts in finding their father. She always put her sisters' happiness before her own; even her mother's.
On top of this, Talia's will to survive at all costs was put to the test and found to be just enough to keep her going when the going got tough. Like her sisters before her, Talia faced the challenges thrust upon her with all the hope and fortitude she could muster. I greatly admire this eldest daughter of Rose's, how she didn't crumble in the face of adversary and gained strength from the support of one unlikely source. She is a force to be reckoned with. All the Delta Girls are.
A little over one year after Savannah's coma and awakenings as DGs, these girls' story has come full circle, ending pretty much where it began. I couldn't think of a better conclusion for this truly amazing series, the girls having discovered everything they set out to discover.
Thanks so much to Juliet Madison and the people of Diversion Books for giving me the opportunity to read such a moving series. I've fallen completely in love with the Delcarta family and am sad to see their story end. But at the same time, I couldn't be more pleased with this fine journey that I've taken right alongside Savannah, Serena, Sasha, Tamara, and Talia.
WOW - I've just loved The Delta Girls and this finale didn't disappoint. It is wonderful! So beautifully written, beautifully completed and satisfying. I'm loving the new covers with symbols rather than the images of the girls on the covers. I am a Juliet Madison fan but had no idea when I started The Delta Girls that I would love the books and the family as I have. The girls are so "normal and natural" as are their romantic characters and their mother is just the kind of mother every girl should have. The characterisation right through is excellent. The build up to the climax is brilliant. The ending so beautiful. This series has "romance, mystery and suspense" and, in Juliet's words, "suitable for ages 13 to 113." Definitely as enjoyable as anything I've read in a while. Make sure you read in order and immerse yourself in the family - the enjoyment will stay with me for a long time.
I really wish I hadn't left the last book in this series for so many years. I think it would have hit with a lot more satisfaction had I read it soon after the last... instead of lots of years later.
Having said that. I loved it. It was a fitting end to the series and kept me engrossed from the first page.
