An engaging continuation of the adventure. I especially enjoyed getting into the minds of the Wulfen pack as Kell experiences his telepathic connection. Like the first it's packed with detail and we learn more about the mysterious power controlling their lives. The inventive language is strangely (but deliberately) familiar and together with the intriguing folklore, the world is a pleasurable escape. The edition I read contained a glossary which was great to refer to as it can get a little complicated. When I read the third I will not read it just before bed as you benefit from reading a good chunk at a time to retain all the detail.
