OMG, this book is a fantastic read. Samantha has written a book that is so different from the norm.
Harman is a man that is a true Londoner, it was refreshing to read a book that had all the right dialect, and one that I could understand being a North Londoner myself.
Told in the point of view of Hardman we learn what his life is like being head of one of the Firms. This is true gangster style but in the terms of football fans taking it to the extreme of being a fan.
Hardman is a man you always get what he wants, he is never afraid of getting his hands dirty. Always having women on tap to fulfil his needs. There is one woman he wants that in my opinion will be the best thing that will ever happen to him.
This truly was a refreshing read, and written in a way that is so different to what I normally read.
If you like your alpha men, and also want a different take on a gangster then this is the book for you.

What can i say, this is definitely Samantha’s best book to date. a solid 4.5 star book. This book is set in London and is very nitty gritty. The characters are parts of mob like firms. It’s not really a emotional book but a hands on blood and guts style mob book. I must admit i pictured Samantha as the lovely SHE and “Hardman” i pictured as some bulky actor whose names fails me. There is a lot of violence in the book and often described or just referred too. Also the book contains a few scenes of cocaine snorting and dirty rough quick no strings sex. The book may contain triggers for many so i suggest heading warnings before reading but that said i absolutely loved it. “Hardman “ is a cocky arrogant arse but he has a weakness SHE and over the years they have come close many times to getting together but timing has been against them. SHE isn't from his world and he knows she is too good for him but it doesn't stop him wanting her.

I enjoyed reading this book. I am giving 4 stars because of the style and the italicizing of so many words, it kept me from really delving into this book and I felt it pulled from the story a bit. The writing style was a bit different and it took some getting used to at the beginning but once you get past that it’s a good read.
This is the story of murder, violence, beatings, and lots and lots of sex. Definitely not for the faint of heart! It’s written from the big boss, Gov’s, point of view. His goal in life is to make “her” his own, and what Gov wants Gov gets.
I liked how Gov’s personality almost seemed to change depending on the situation. I also really loved that underneath all the violence there is a great love story. This is definitely not your typical read but I recommend checking it out!

Wow! What a great dark, seductive, raw book. You get to see a very "Hardman" deal with the underground of London. He has his fair share of woman but the "one" woman that he loves he can't have until his "Hardman" life is done. He has loved her for years and she is the one that can break him. Will he choose to be the Hardman of London or be the man that his "woman " needs?
The characters are raw, real and you feel every emotion that comes from them. I would have love to see where the end of the book goes further in the future with these two. Who knows maybe Samantha will shows us more of the "Hardman".
So if you are looking for dark, seductive, raw book, then look no further, grab a cup of coffee and comfy chair and dive in!!!

What a great book about a very intriguing man. Loved the London setting and how authentic the story was. He is an Alpha male in every sense and lived the life he had created for himself. We see the many different sides of Hardman and how he changes depending on the situations he finds himself in. There is violence and sex, some quite brutal, but underneath it all is a love story. If you enjoy reading a story which comes at you at full force, with a no holds barred attitude then this is for you.

Okay y’all, I literally read this book in one sitting—if that tells you anything! I couldn’t put it down. Hardman is a man at the top of the food chain who could have any woman he wants… except her—the mystery woman from his past. She gives him the chase he craves, because let’s be real, we all want what we can’t have.
It always feels like the cards aren’t in their favor—until Hardman makes a life-changing decision that changes everything. I love how Samantha kept the plot plotting and the mystery around “Her” had me hooked. I kept getting irritated with myself thinking I’d missed her name somewhere because I just needed to put a name to the woman who had him completely by the balls. But trust me, you’ll learn who she is soon enough.
The ending had me biting my nails and kicking my feet in excitement. Thank you, Samantha, for another amazing story. I’m so glad I got to meet Charlie Hardman!

This is a step away from your normal hardman/tough guy novel and despite of should I say in spite of the title I was in awe of this story.
This is what I imagined a London Hardman would not only be like but sound like and as a brit, I have to say Samantha – you nailed this!
I loved the fact that this is told in the first person that this is a very personal and realistic view of how and what Gov’s life was like.
The deviancy and deprivation, the sheer thuggery that was so apparent that even when only intimated was enough to raise the heckles on the back of my neck. The perception of danger, the cruel and harsh intent were so encompassing that it was difficult at times to find an available moment to take not only a breath but stock of the situation.
This was not for the faint hearted but the author made that perfectly clear at the very beginning, this was rough and harsh it told the life of a man that relished the life that he had carved out for himself and one that he was determined never too fail at.
His name and reputation were his calling card, they were what defined him and that was ok in his book, because it meant that those around him knew what they were getting into when the stepped over the line and he had to get his hands dirty, which was no hardship, he had cut his teeth making sure that the harsher, more violent aspects of his manor were something that he completely embraced.
This man owned his streets, those around him feared him and women fawned over him, but the one woman that may just be his downfall may also be the one that completes him in a way that he might not be able to completely understand.
I was blown away by the writing and the tone of this book, yes it is violent and some of the tone and context are extreme but they are perfectly in context and bang on the money with regards to characterisation.
This is a story that will blow away the cobwebs of what you would normally read within this genre, it takes the whole alpha male concept and ratchets it up a gear.
This man holds nothing back and the book is testament to the harsh reality of a life that for some while it may appear unfathomable is very real – or elements of it are.

I was given this book to read and provide my honest review :)
This Author is lovely and to read this book was.... Well how I felt by looking at the blurb and cover was going to be a White knuckle gripping action book about the darkness of London this really spiked my interest.
Well from the start it gave real hope with a nice bit of grittiness Then that's where it left me hanging - I was so waiting for this book to give me more of what he portrayed at the start.
I'm so sorry to this Author but what I got was a guy giving a punch here and there but that was it, no real grittiness that wowed me :(
With everything "HER" and With him getting 'Angry' every time that he couldn't have 'her' off he went always doing Drugs and C0ck out.... Banging every woman,
he was this mastermind and there he was in a club doing drugs and just winding himself up over her.
This book was sadly not what I thought, shame. I just wanted more darkness and real gritty gasping action.
Due to it not, It sadly gets 3.5 star
But a nice little forbidden Love story.
I would still Recommend this book to all!
As everyone reads and digests a book differently so Give it a read it might grasp you in different ways :D

The story of Hardman is a first person account of the gritty raw nature of being top dog in the West End of London, being the Gov of The Firm is not a job for the weak stomached. Hartman tells his story through eyes blinded with need...obsession for the one woman who has stolen his hardened heart away from the lifestyle he holds in high esteem. Hardman views his life as a charmed one and he relished everyone hard won fight. He has danced round "her" but he now's knows this is there time. Can he convince her she is "the one"?
Hardman is a different type of gangster read. Told from Hardman's perspective this story does not shy away from the brutal aspects of the lifestyle. It is refreshing and very British! I was a little thrown by the writing style the use of slang, italics and speech marks were a little distracting and I felt it was a little unnecessary as there was a prompt at the being. Hardman would not stress these terms as they are his usual speech patterns so I found them a little off putting. Aside from that minor bug bear I really enjoyed this romp through London.

5 hardman stars! Samantha can right a sexy @ss book!! And Hardman was no exception.
Hardman is the story of a sexy, no holds barred, top dog. He runs London and everyone knows it. He refuses to be held down and he will stop at nothing to prove that. But what happens when his past comes and she threatens everything he’s ever known??
I love Samantha Fontien and everything she writes. She doesn’t hold back and isn’t afraid to write a kick @ss book!! I’ve been a fan for awhile now and this book proves, exactly why I love her!!

WOW! After reading the first page I was hooked and knew this was going to be an amazing read. I wasn't wrong! Hardman has it all, violence, murder, drugs, sex, and love...but don't be thinking there are any hearts and flowers....absolutely far from it!
The whole book is action packed, full of twists and completely brutal!
For those that have read Samantha Fontien's book, know exactly how brutal she can be with her characters. My heart was racing at parts. I'm usually pretty good at predicting how the story will go, but Samantha Fontien has you guessing until the end.
Hardman is a standalone and as for a HEA...I am not telling you nothing. Go one click now for a fantastic 10 star read.

Wow!! Hardman it's jam packed with everything you'd expect from the biggest badass in London.
Hardman takes you through the London gangster way of life while never forgetting 'her'.
From the first chapter, I was hooked. Murder, drugs, beatings, sex... Lots of sex, alibies, and need.
Seeing the life of a Hardman from Gov's point of view was fantastic. He's a boss with a goal. Figure out how to finally make 'her' his.
This book is mature and written in a true London fashion. The terminology and slang is straight from the streets of London.
I would recommend this book to any reader that enjoys power, murder and sex!

I was falling in love with ..... by the second chapter.
A London Hardman for real and a total Whore,
but there was something special about him.
The lady he has loved forever has turned up in the UK again.
She still doesn't want anything to do with him but gives him the time of day anyway.
That's when the world turn so much quicker for them both.

Welcome to old London, and we meet Hardman and top dog! Yes I said top dog coz he will rip your head off if you f**k him over.
A good gangster book filled with lot’s dirty sex, drugs, and violence. This is not for the faint hearted,
This is a Hardman book so don’t forget it..!
What a fab standalone from Samantha it defo has well-drawn plot twist that I so didn’t see coming this book will keep you on the edge of your seat.
Wicked book defo recommend to a friend!!

This is not the first story written by Samantha Fontien that I read. All the previous ones were short stories, though, and spin-offs of the same series, while this was a full stand-alone novel. But, I was not at all surprised by the fact that I loved it just as much!!
The "Hardman" himself is the one who really rules London, and the whole UK. An owner of an elite club, and the most feared member of society, widely recognizable, everyone avoids causing him trouble.
He has built his empire doing things he knows he should eventually pay for, sleeping with a different woman, about every two hours, and dealing with people who oppose his authority once and for all.
Yet, there is a woman that is his undoing. "She" as he likes to call her, is the one woman who can make him lose control in one time. "She" is the one who could rule this world with him and give him a total completion.
But, he's not ready for that type of commitment just yet.
He is still building his empire and fortune...
But, what will happen between them when "she" unexpectedly shows up to his club on a business?
A passionate story that featured every aspect of the life of a man who works at night.
Right from the beginning, I was totally aware of the intimidation everyone should feel around the "Harman". Everything about him, from the sexual scenes to the more violent ones, was raw and untamed.
And, the way he described his history with "her", it was made fairly obvious why a man like him would feel so strongly about a woman like her. They were the perfect match, with all her sass and all his playfulness around her!
I was rooting for this couple right from the beginning, and was so strongly disappointed with the "Hardman" every time he went off releasing his tension with other women!
But, at the same time, all this banter, all this game, it helped so much in the building of the tension for us readers, too. I just love the way this particular author does that in her stories!
All in all, 5 stars for another amazing experience brought to us fortunate readers by Samantha Fontien!

I really hate giving books a rating below 4* because I know how much work goes into writing...however, this was the first book I have read by Samantha and i struggled to get into it. I have read it quickly in a few hours, and i will try other books by her.
I felt the characters were dull, there was no connection and there was no names, just 'she' or 'her'...i didn't understand why she and he was in italics and apostrophes all the time, but i ignored that and tried desperately to get into the story.
This is a story that is fuelled by violence and sex. The relationship between 'gov' and 'her' was like a cat and mouse. He wanted her and she thought she was too good for him. There paths crossed at all the wrong times.
The synopsis and cover drew me in, so i was a bit disappointed that i couldn't give this a better rating.

HARDMAN well wow just wow a very sexy Londoner that gets what he wants sometimes when he wants too, Top man no one will get in his way of his dreams. Determined to get the love of his life no hearts and flowers in this story but that man can be romantic in a Hartman way.
Very different from Samanthas other books but just as Epic.
Samantha is one of them author's that give you the feels you feel every emotion her characters have in every book Samantha has done. For once I didn't need wine tissues yes I did cry and shout at my kindle saying oh no not again Samantha, thinking she had done a Rubin again.
Lots of sex drugs and dark in this book. But fantastic I would love to see what happens next with them two.
Will there be a book 2? Will we see Hardman again?

This was my first read by Samantha Fontien and as much as I really enjoyed the story in itself I was put off with how it was written with the italics and apostrophes all over the place... I don't like leaving any negatives in my reviews but this really did take away from the story for me.
Dark gritty gangster read that had everything you could want thrown in! Drugs guns murder and women galore.
As much as you don't want to like Hardman he manages to show his nice side throughout especially where his son was concerned.
A little twist or 2 to keep you guessing on what's going to happen too.
Would like to read another book by this author I just need to decide which to pick next.

HARDMAN- honestly, it was intense.
The main character is a powerful, tough guy who doesn’t care what people think. He's a feard, well-known figure in London’s criminal world.
Women desire him, but he's not the type of man to show emotions. However, there is a twist when someone from his past shows up, and everything starts to change and get personal.
The book is full of action, drama, danger, and a bit of romance, but it is not soft or sweet.
I was hooked from the start, and it felt so natural and true to life.
If you like stories that feel real and show tough people who also have a kind side, then this book is for you.
You will not regret reading it.

Disappointing! No plot, no story other than a middle-aged, thug gangster does drugs, fucks an assortment of women while claiming to be in love with 'Her', and torment a few people. The formatting is hirendious, with improper, over used question marks. Did the guy really talk in questions???????
Also this book needs to have a vocabulary listed for non-Brittish readers.
Bottom line, don't waste your money.

Oi, Oi well what can say about this book. I absolutely loved it, I loved Charlie Hardman and his banter. I couldn't put this book down, I definitely finished wanting more.
