In post-apocalyptic America a mysterious woman known as Esther wanders the wastelands, finding struggling settlements of survivors and helping them rebuild before she moves on. No one knows who she is or where she came from–and she would like to keep it that way.


Then a man from her past finds her. Like Esther, Nick is hiding a secret–neither are human. Instead, they are legends, the mythical creatures from the pre-apocalyptic world.


A strange darkness is growing in the world, and Nick and Esther will need help to fight it. They seek out the last of the others that are like them–a skinny and haunted man with a preference for the cold, a hulking creature with a penchant for the shadows, and a disturbed young woman who has a strange obsession with teeth. It will take all of them to stop the thing that is seeking to destroy what little is left of the world...a thing known only as Cthulhu.
