The Night Stalkers: 5E #2

Target Lock On Love

Rate this book
A first mission by a new team should not risk everything—except this time it must.“I can’t wait for the next one to come out.”Launching a new Special Operations helicopter company may be the hardest assignment a commander could draw. Forming it with a team of rookie pilots, then slamming them into a Black Ops crisis mission to infiltrate China—well that’s just uncalled for.And what is Major Pete Napier to do with the soft-spoken woman who can outfly him on his best day? Maybe China isn’t his biggest challenge.“Buchman’s research is amazing and his attention to detail is astounding.”[Can be read stand-alone or in series. A complete happy-ever-after with no cliffhangers. Originally published in “The Night Stalkers 5E” series in 2015. Re-edited 2021 for improved reader experience but still the same great story.]Buy now to join the military romance adventure.

USA Today and Amazon #1 Bestseller M. L. “Matt” Buchman started writing on a flight south from Japan to ride his bicycle across the Australian Outback. Just part of a solo around-the-world trip that ultimately launched his writing career.

From the very beginning, his powerful female heroines insisted on putting character first, then a great adventure. He’s since written over 60 action-adventure thrillers and military romantic suspense novels. And just for the fun of it: 100 short stories, and a fast-growing pile of read-by-author audiobooks.

Booklist says: 3x “Top 10 of the Year.” PW says: “Tom Clancy fans open to a strong female lead will clamor for more.” His fans say: “I want more now…of everything.” That his characters are even more insistent than his fans is a hoot.
As a 30-year project manager with a geophysics degree who has designed and built houses, flown and jumped out of planes, and solo-sailed a 50’ ketch, he is awed by what is possible. More at: www.mlbuchman.com.

Great read. Patty was quite the spitfire but Mick was up for the challenge. Great fisherying scene. As always, great helicoptering. The characters are all so unique, it really adds to the draw.

Loved the action and locale in this one - the Aleutians in Alaska and the Kamchatka Peninsula in Russia and fishing trawlers. At the center of this one are 2 descendants of 'fisherymen' - one from Alaska and one from New England - whose early lives on fishing boats are critical to success of a mission to investigate russian drone development. To say nothing of the awesome early action scene involving survival and search/rescue training during a snow storm on a mountain in Alaska. As always, he delivers a kick-ass heroine and a lovely romance among a lot of great action.

I had no idea this book was out there. The second instalment of the 5E Nightstalkers. As it had been a long time since reading the first, I re-read that quickly so I knew who all the characters were.

I liked Quinn and Patty. I enjoyed reading about their story and the adventures the 5E gets in to.

I'm curious to see if they will add spec' op's from other branches like the 5D has and if Luke and Nikita will be those. And I wonder who will be the next couple.

This was another action packed story.

Poor editing distracts from ML Buchman's good story

Grammar crisis! Someone with knowledge of objective and subjective pronouns (him vs. he, her vs. she) needs to go through this book w a red pen. Spotty editing also shows in missing words here and there. Good story, as one expects from this author, but the errors distract.
