I loved Persuaded. It was a wonderful ending to a phenomenal romantic suspense series. I loved the first two books so much, especially the twin sisters, I didn’t think I’d like this one as much since the heroine is a new character. However, this one was just as good. In fact, it had the added perk of humor throughout, and it answered most of the questions raised in the first two books. My only complaint is that Charlie and Catherine weren’t in it and Jude and Neil were only in it briefly, but the new characters, Peyton and her “gang” of wonderful, quirky secondary characters, were so fun that I hated for this book to end. I will definitely read more by Riley Murphy.
I have yet to find narrators who compare to Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross. Now that I’ve listened to their narration, it’s ruined me for most other narrators. Something I now notice in a lot of the samples I listen to is that many narrators over-enunciate, like they’re afraid of not being understood. This makes their narration sound unnatural and stilted. Kennicott and Ross act out their roles and speak naturally like the characters would in real life. It makes it so easy to suspend your disbelief and to enter the world of make believe, and isn’t that the reason we all read fiction?
