I've read so many intense books lately that it was nice to pick up the Quail Crossings series and read something that was gentle and kind. I loved sharing the journey of a family throughout the depression and war times in a small town in Texas where a they fought hard to never lose faith and to support each other through their various challenges. I was sad when the third book ended because I had to say goodbye to a group of people I fell in love with.
Book 3 in the Quail Crossings series. I’m enjoying this series that follows a gentle and kind family throughout the depression and war times in a small town in Texas where they fight hard to never lose faith and to support each other through their various challenges. Reminds me a lot of the Waltons.
An excellent series of books. You feel you are right there with the characters in their lives. Hard to put down. There's humor, intrigue, excitement, mystery, joy and sadness all in this series of books. Wonderful read. Reading the next book now and it's just as good.
I enjoy these books so much. They are inspiring and uplifting. Lots of action and excitement, but also lots of love and caring. Right up my alley. The authors love of God is, unashamedly, evident.
My heart is still racing as I just finished this book. Suspense and mystery following World War II. Through love and prayers love won! I definitely recommend this book. A clean caring book. Great Arthor
This series is wonderful. Staying up way too late to read. Very hard to put it down. I am currently on book. 5. I will be sad to leave Dovie and this family behind
This is book 3 in the series…….and it doesn’t disappoint! Brought smiles and tears. A warm hearted story of a family’s love and what it can do? Highly recommend.

Once again Mrs. McMurrain brings together the families of Quail Crossings and introduces us to a few new characters. It is interesting to see how the characters have developed since first being introduced in Quail Crossings and to see where/what they will go/do next. I always hate that last page and can't wait for another book....
This book brought a conclusion to the series that left me satisfied that I had the whole story. The entire series give you a glimpse into the lives of normal folks during the depression through WWII,
