“You’re stealing that paper, lady! I don’t give a shit if it’s for the Pope! You’re stealing that paper!”
The only thing on my mind was getting this paper and a rapidly decreasing mug of coffee from spilling so much of it up to my new boss as fast as my legs would take me. I was not doing very well on my first day.
Pulling the door to the office open, wrinkling the paper a little in the process, I abruptly stopped. The light inside the office was so dim that it was hard to see, and I didn’t want to run into anything. I had to stand still as the door closed behind me and wait for my eyes to adjust.
“Well?”
I jumped at the voice, which came from the direction of the light on the desk, and peered over there. I should’ve been able to see him by now, my eyes having gotten used to the dimness, but I didn’t see anyone.
“I have…your, um…”
“Speak up!”
That sharp command made me want to do the opposite of speaking; it made me want to disappear forever.
Then the chair spun around, and I wasn’t quick enough to stifle a gasp. The naked light bulb on the lamp, which had revealed the contents of this office to me, revealed equally the occupant of the room.
His face cast in sharp relief, equally in shadow and light, was hideously disfigured by a twisting scar that traveled from his temple, past his cheek, across his mouth — splitting the bottom lip — and on down his chin and neck, vanishing beneath the collar of his shirt.
My name is Beauty, and I just met the Beast...
NOTE: This is the first book of a three part serial and it ends with a cliffhanger. Parts 2 and 3 will be released soon.
I don't know how to feel about the drama between the two main characters. I would have to say that Roland is putting blame on himself for no reason.
What you can expect from this series is a book that is filled with a twisted brother, a love triangle, barely any sex, and some cute scenes. However, it was nothing to write home about.
A very complex story about two people who blame themselves for an accident that killed three people! Wonderful characters and a story you have to finish in one reading! I highly recommend and can't wait for part two!!
This was a awesome book. I loved the beginning to the end. Beauty hated her name but used it after a tragic accident. I feel in love with her she has a lot of strength just not realizing it. Then you have Roland he gives Beauty a clean slate but why would he she is trying to figure out Roland and his brother Dan. Well she figure it out or well the end spiral her down the bottom again. You will love this book so go ahead one click can't wait for book two to see what happens.
It was okay. I got bored throughout the book. Beauty works at a strip club. She quit school and moved away from her hometown due to an accident that killed her friend and parents. She blamed herself. Dan came in to offer her a job. She was confused to why she was offered the position. At the end she does find out why. Roland claims he was the one that killed her parents. But when she was in the hospital the police told her that they killed them by running into them when her friend lost control of the car.

Beauty is a stripper, drinking away her money, living out of her car and blaming herself for the death of her parents and best friend. Roalnd is a beastly mannered, scarred billionaire who also blames himself for Beauty's parent's death. This is not explained yet. Roland offers Beauty a job as his assistant via his beautoful brother Dan. Beauty is drowning in guilt and likes to punish herself emotionally, she puts up with Roland's demanding behavior and thinks of it as penance. There is no sexual spark or chemistry here, just Roland being mean and Beauty crying over it.
Slapdash romance with not enough plot development between the hero and the heroine. Additionally, Beauty, the heroine, is just not a very nice person. She lies, is willing to let the hero twist in the wind about things, and she vacillates back and forth between self loathing and an over developed sense of self preservation that totally contradicts her desire to punish herself. The hero is merely a prop, which is a shame. His character was the more interesting of the two. This was a missed opportunity.
I downloaded Beauty and the Billionaire, Part one as a free novel from Amazon. I'm not a huge fan of serials, but this first installment (of 3) was well written and intriguing. I'd pretty-much guessed where the plot was leading, so wasn't surprised by the cliffhanger ending. Will I read the next installment? Probably not, I hate not getting a full book to read through, but this is one I'll consider reading once all the parts are out and the book is offered as a complete set. A good read.
I should be jinxed, i am getting one after another horrible recommendations for book. So it was a short book, thank god for that and not much of a good read. I skipped through the descriptions, and believe me there were many of those.
There is not that much of a character development and all seem to be suffering from over-guilty-consciousness. But it end with kinda cliffhanger. I may peek into the second book for the answer anyways.
It had everything a book should start off on, although I was beginning to wonder if it was a young adult story, but as I kept reading I understood the flashbacks...the anger, guilt, and the I don't care about me attitude Beauty was displaying....can't wait to read part 2(what a cliffhanger
all of the beauty and the billionaire books were good just wished it would of ended a little bit different. I would of liked to have read a little bit more about their future together and what happended to Dan.
DARK EROTICA BEAUTY HAD SOMETHING VERY TRAGIC HAPPEN TO HER AS A TEENAGER WHICH CAUSED HER ADULT LIFE TO GO DOWNHILL FAST. THIS HAD A TWISTED BEAUTY & THE BEAST FEEL TO IT, VERY TWISTED. GUILT EATS AWAY AT A PERSON’S VERY SOUL. SHORT READ.;]
Loved this book! It could have been a little longer rather than separating the stories, but it was still a great read and looking forward to the second book!
