Queen Mother Hyacinth and King Leon arrive at his home and it’s not what Hyacinth thought it would be. An old lady among werewolves and their odd ways, will she adapt or go home?
Taking up where "Fine Tinder" left off "Natural Refinement" continues the story of Hyacinth and Leon. The former King of Adeli is now hiding in a Centaur forest while he plots to regain his throne. The territorial Centaurs are not happy, maybe it is time to move on. Hyacinth is taking her own sweet time deciding whether to marry Leon and become a werewolf herself, until one of the decisions is taken out of her hands. The writing continues to be awkward at time and, even more than the first episode in the series, "Natural Refinement" needs a hard edit. It comes to an abrupt end just as it really gets into its stride. It was first published in 2015 and the promised third book in the series, concerning Hyacinth's warrior grand-daughter, Grenowin, does not seem to have become a reality six years later. It's a pity as the first two short books tell us what to expect. 3 Stars.
I loved this book! It was really cool! King Leon is my fav character and I love Hyacinth. How she stood up to the fight with the werewolf was cool! Her transformation, liked that part just wanted a little more detail of it but loved the part of being wild in the end and her answer. Finally! I loved king Leon after reading just a few words of his letter. I just love that part lol!
