Have you ever wanted to work from home? Virtual Careers by Jomar Hilario is one great book to anyone who would like to earn money and work as a virtual professional while at home. Jomar's book is filled with tips, advice and ton of information that will help you get started. This book is excellent!

This is a perfect go-to guide about starting a virtual career. I’m happy that there’s finally a book for Filipinos by a Filipino. It’s comprehensive and easy to understand. I have actually read it in one sitting.
Here’s a rundown of the PROs and CONs about the book:
PROs
· Jomar Hilario wrote about his emotional why in writing the book. You'll know that his advocacy in helping Filipinos is heartfelt because it came from a good place.
· There are testimonials from Jomar Hilario’s students and virtual professionals. It made the book more human and credible. It offers a sneak peek into their lives – their journey, struggles and accomplishments.
· Puzzles! I love puzzles.
· The price is reasonable. 176 pages packed with meaty information.
· Doubts in online work turned into positive, action-driven and mindset-challenging solutions.
CONs
· Parents teach their kids to study hard, get a high paying job and be successful. No wonder most Filipinos have an employee mindset. So, this whole idea of working online is too good to be true. I wish this was in Chapter 3 - Doubts or Chapter 9 - Entrepreneurial Mindset.
· It failed to include a common misconception about working online. Virtual professionals are lazy millennials who can’t get a regular corporate job.
· It's better if there were short exercises or activity after each chapter. Maybe, there can be a page wherein we can write our emotional whys or a template on how to compute one's pay/rate.
· There are no pictures or illustrations. People who have a short attention span (like me) would appreciate it. How about a picture of an ideal work space?
· The bonus chapter from John Jonas, founder of Onlinejobs.ph, gave us an insight why Americans prefer online Filipino workers. I wish there are more testimonials like this from those who hire virtual professionals, both local and foreign. Also, some tips on how to to work with different cultures would be nice. This could form a separate chapter or another book.
Over all, the PROs outweigh the CONs.
If you want to test the waters, reading this book is a good start. If you're a virtual professional, you can relearn the basics and catch some tips and tricks. If you're looking to hire a virtual professional, you'll know how to spot a rock star.

I started my Virtual Career with one seminar and now that seminar is now a book! So happy to have read this when I was exploring work online.
The book delivers its 3 bold promises and more:
Yes it is possible to earn dollars at home
Yes it's possible to say goodbye to traffic and work related stress.
More importantly, yes, it is truly rewarding to have more time with your family
Plus, the book gives you an inside look on virtual careers and will help you decide if work from home is truly for you.

This is a MUST-READ for people who want to learn how to work at home and earn money online. I love the stories and fun puzzles incorporated in this book. This is your shortcut on how to land an online job that's right for you. The best investment you can give yourself or a gift to aspiring virtual professionals. Easy read, no highfalutin words. You can include this book in the list of "Life-Changing Books You Can Read in a Day."
