I Tried...
I really tried to get into into these books, especially with the 5 star ratings, but I just couldn’t do it. I believe it had something to do with the dynamic between the main characters - They just lacked passion for me.

A stunningly beautiful series
I am in love with these two books!! Noel and Clara's story is equal parts beautiful, painful and uplifting. It'll have you turning the pages so fast because you'll want to know how it all ends. And with this boxset - there's no need to wait, as you can read the whole story in one go!!

Thirty-Eight Days
This is the first book in Len Webster’s Thirty-Eight series but for me it’s the third one that I’ve read. I started with the last two books - Max and Josie’s story in With the First Goodbye and With the Last Goodbye - so in a way I know how this will end, but that doesn’t make the journey any less enjoyable, emotional or painful.
Clara and Noel have known each other since childhood, linked by Clara’s brother Alex who is Noel’s best friend. When Noel arrives to “look after†Clara as a favour to Alex, sparks fly as they both realise how different each other are after meant years apart. Their chemistry is undeniable, their love real, but will it last... can it last...?
Len is a master at writing angst and going back to the start of this series has shown me that she has always been fabulous at tugging at the heart strings and putting her characters - and us as the readers - through hell before a happy ever after is found. Unfortunately with this being the first book in a duet, I’m going to have to wait a little longer to see if Clara and Noel will get their chance at true love.

Wow Wow Wow 😮 Thirty-Eight Reasons by Len Webster is the conclusion to Noel and Clara’s story that began in Thirty-Eight Days, and it is one emotional rollercoaster ride. From the prologue that had me reacting like this: NOOOOOOO 😱😱😱😱😱 to the ending that had me feeling 😁😍😁😍 and all of the emotions in between.
This isn’t an easy review to write because I don’t want to give away the plot line of the first book, so I’ll keep in simple. Noel and Clara have a long, hard, difficult journey to a happily ever after - and this book will prove that their happiness may not be reliant on each other. You’ll likely spend most of the book wondering if Noel and Clara even belong together, if they’re right for each other, if their perfectly imperfect enough to last... but this book is such a realistic portrayal of the hard, sometimes extremely difficult, journey that is finding love.
Len is a master at angst and while some of her other books have brought me to tears l, this one didn’t, but it was no less fabulous. My heart spent most of the book in my throat and I stayed up late to see what would happen (something I haven’t done in AGES!). The push and pull, the yes, no and maybe, the torture that you’ll go through while reading this book will be worth every second! And I’m diving right into the next book in the series because I just have to know what happens next!!

Thirty-Eight Days and Thirty-Eight Reasons is such a beautiful and heartfelt series.
Why buy the boxset and not each book separately? Because it's the best series ever and the boxset has special content you can only find in there.
It's definitely the best and most emotional and heartfelt story I've ever read. My absolute favorite book series ever!

I will never forget the first time I read Thirty-Eight Days. I was so touched by the book I didn’t ever want it to end.
Noel and Clara are just such a sweet couple and it isn’t easy to just let them go! All through the book I was just so drawn to Clara and Noel. Their story will be forever in my heart. It isn’t like all the love stories we often hear, it is its own unique story qnd it makes you want to know more about Clara and Noel, and their friends.
Through the book you get to know a lot of different characters and fall in love with every one of them.
Len Webster had me hooked from the beginning and with her lovely words she keeps me wanting for more.

Already after reading Thirty-Eight Days I knew that the sequel would be just as great as the first book. With Thirty-Eight Reasons the story of Clara and Noel continues and gets you hooked from the start.
For me the second book is even better than the first because you already know all the characters, understand how they feel and react. It makes everything so much more emotional and believe me Thirty-Eight Reasons is very, very emotional. You'll love it.
It is by far the best book I’ve ever read!! It is so emotional and has such a unique and heartbreaking story, I just couldn’t put the book down until it was finished! A love so pure and honest as Clara and Noel's is so seldom that you have to hold on to it.
The whole book is so emotional and it is its own story which makes it special. The love of Clara and Noel is so unique and their path is so heartbreakingly sad that I couldn’t prevent to cry while reading. With all its own drama the book makes you believe in love again. In every chapter Len Webster succeeds to get you stuck for another one, and another one, until the whole book is finished.
No words can do this book justice.
For me there is no greater love story than this.
Noel and Clara's love is so unconditional and real, it is something that you only dream of.
The book series is definitely one of the best love stories I’ve ever read and for every hopelessly romantic person it is the perfect book to read. I can’t wait for the next book by Len Webster.
