On first read through, I thought it was kind of weird, but after sitting with it for a moment, I realized it's the kind of weird that short films tend to be. I also realized it was European. It's more of a literary vignette than most picture books, but I kind of like it.

Half of a picture book are the pictures, and I really didn't like these ones. Also, I realized after reading it that it was translated, so I can't blame the author too much, but the writting was awkward and would jump around too much. The overall theme of the book was sweet, but...meh...

book shows a great friendship of two diverse people. I love the words. cherry flavored summer. the authors painted wonderful pictures with her words. great for dealing with moving and friendship

This is one of those stories that grows on you. A story about friendship and letting go, about being oneself.
