This collection of travel stories from well-traveled women with impressive credentials provides a unique perspectives on the travel experience. Each author shares aspects of travel that has changed them. The focus is not so much on the places they visited, but on how being there made them see things in a different way. I especially enjoyed affirmation that solo travel allows you to immerse yourself in a culture and to break out of the confines of a comfy relationship at home. Sailing in the South Pacific with child in tow made me a bit nervous, but if one has only one life to live and they want children, then I guess the only solution is to take them with you on your adventures. The journey with each of these 22 ladies is unique and worth the price of admission.

Inevitably some stories were better than others, but overall a pleasant read.

Such a fun way to see other parts of the world. Some stories resonated with me more than others but all were short enough that they flew by quickly.
