I wish the author went into more detail about the cultures and histories various diverse tribes and communities that make up the current Alaskan Indigenous populations and their ancestors.

I did learn some interesting bits for sure though!

Too short, it should mix in some longer term natural history even if that is outside of the author's expertise.
