This is a fantastically informative reference book that could easily interest adults and children alike! It can be used to entice children into the world of science with images of two headed snakes and three legged ducklings. Charles Darwin's theory of evolution is covered, touching on details such as his study of finches and natural selection.
Scientific processes such as classification and genetic mutations are also pretty captivating; the book acts as a perfect starting point for science lessons and offers lovely graphics as part of the package!

Another juvenile fiction, this one with substantially LESS evidence and MORE explanation. Made for a lot of clear narrative to explain evolution well.
And it still didn’t answer my questions. I need more evidence to support these conclusions.

I learnt from this book that one out of three of a cat's kittens die out of a mutated gene.
HERE ARE SOME FACTS I FOUND INTERESTING
1. In the past horses didn't look like they did now.
2. Every person is a mutant because there is always something that they can do but others can not
3. Twins have the same genes because they were born at the same time by the same parents in the same month and in the same year.
4. Darwin's parents wanted him to be a doctor.
5.The scientists have proof that dinosaurs were living creatures through fossils but they still can not bring them back to life

This is a beautiful book (if a bit busy at times). Each page has a theme that covered evolution, genetics, biodiversity, classification and more. It would be a great jumping off point for a basic life science class!

A good choice for about 5th - 9th grade for understanding the concept of evolution. It's a nice balance of illustration and information. A good choice for anyone - even adults - who want to understand the basics of evolution theory.

An easy to grasp overview of Darwin's basic theory of evolution & all scientific progress that has been made in the years since. I feel well prepared to speak intelligently about the facts before I tour the laughable Creation Museum.

Going into fourth grade. Usually prefer fiction and enjoy books over my level... even if I can't pronounce all the words. This was easy to keep on reading or just study the cool and varied graphics! Finally letting Mom take back to the library so somebody else can enjoy.

A very impressive collation of information, exploration and interesting snippets of background info about Evolution (did you know Charles Darwin's dad called him a good-for-nothing layabout?). Everyone should read this book. It is so good!
