They say that when something seems too good to be true then it usually is... Brittany Taylor felt like she had met the man of her dreams in hot bachelor billionaire Logan Grayson. He had everything. The looks, the money and the charming personality. Now, after a short whirlwind romance, Logan has proposed to Brittany and she is over the moon. She can't wait to get started planning the wedding and the rest of her life with the man of her dreams. Little does she know, there is much more to this proposal than meets the eye and it seems like Logan has been making some plans of his own. And they might not involve her...
So not in a good way....wow...my eyes are burning right now...no matter how much I fast forwarded...the burning sensation increased...quite possibly the the stupidest thing written..wow...I just don't have the words...if any one out there who has had it with these silly billionaire proposals to unassuming, supposedly naive young black women....who just think a billionaire is going to fall madly, deeply in love with them...just please let this one be the last....53 pages,30 minutes of my life I can never get back.....wow...doesn't even deserve the 1 star...
First reading from this Author, I thought it was a good storyline and I loved the characters I too felt as if the relationship was fast. This was a two title book Baby by Contract wish was a great read only wish the Author would have let us know how the court case turn out and what was the sex of the baby, I would give it a 3.5 star.
2.5 stars...This was just an okay read. The characters just weren't that well developed and I found myself more than irritated with the heroine. How gullible could one person be? On to the next.....
I would give the first book a 2 and the second, a 4, so I averaged it. Brittany was so unbelievably naive that it was annoying. There really wasn’t any chemistry, so to see her fall head over heels, made no sense. The second book was fine.
A K/U book. This is a cute short story. It's only about 58% of the book, but it felt like I got a complete novel.
Brittney, only having broken up with her boyfriend a few months ago, wasn't looking for anyone when she met the most alluring man that she has ever seen. He was tall, well built and a face that looked as if it had been chiseled from a statue of a Greek god.
Logan Grayson came to the Art Gallery looking for a piece a work that he wasn't going to be able to leave without, but what he found was a beautiful, dazzling woman. Logan knew that he had to have her and would stop at nothing short of giving this woman the world.
Brittney's friend and ex-boyfriend thinks that Logan is up to something. They think that he isn't being completely honest with her and have set out to make her realize that not all things about Logan are as they seem.
In The Suspicious Proposal, author Cherry Kay, in this fast paced story it to unbelieveable to be real. Seriously, Brittany comes of a weak willed fool in love who has sex with a man on the night she meets him with out protection and continues to do so. Her friend Lena is a good friend however she did play a little dirty by telling Brittany's ex about her current relationship. To make matter worse Brittany finds out the real reason behind Logan wanting marry are and signing a prenup. To top off this book of lies and deceit, Brittany hides the fact that she is pregnant from Logan only to marry him and tell him after they are married that she will have his baby for him to keep his inheritance. This book is riddle with adults who act like children.
Both books are solid 3.5 stars and only lose the .5 star because they are short stories. Each story only took less than a day to read but two days total.
The Suspicious Proposal - A fast pace story that you can see coming in the storyline but the extra twist of the ex-boyfriend and some of the reveal was interesting. The ex-boyfriend was really, really annoying and was the main reason for the loss of the .5 star in this short story.
Baby by Contract - A fast pace story were the secret reveal was really interesting! I would have liked more of a wrap up in the end.
If I could give a book only half a star, I would. This book was the WORST. I pray it is only released electronically. I would weep openly if trees were killed to print this garbage of a book. The characters were stock and completely predictable. Also, the heroine meets the hero and within minutes she, as my grandmother would say, "dropped those drawers." She didn't even know his favorite color and suddenly he's hitting a homerun in the backseat of his car. The book was just painful to read. I gave up after 10 pages. I'd had enough.
Logan meets Brittany and her friend Lena in an art gallery and takes them to dinner. There is an instant spark between Logan and Brittany and they act on it.
Little does she know that while yes he is very attracted to her he also has a clause in his father's will and he is running out of time. He needs a wife and baby before his next birthday or he looses everything.
Can you see where this might be heading?????? Maybe not. Grab this book and find out. I enjoyed it.
I really wanted to like the book more than I did, but the story was just unreal. I know people can fall in love quickly, but disregarding what others are seeing and not having doubts just threw me. Cherry made Brittany sound naive and dumb to not pay attention to what's happening.
The second bonus book, "Baby By Contract" I did enjoy more, I just wish it was longer and a little more developed. I think the bonus book is why I give it two stars instead of one.
Enjoyed both stories. Not sure who would marry someone they only knew for a few weeks. Logan Grayson needed a wife in order to get his inheritance. In the bonus book David need to marry to improve his image with his business partners. In both there was a HEA.
The first book The Suspicious Proposal was the reason that I bought this book. However, the second book Baby By Contract was the reason why I enjoyed the book.
