Excellent and interesting book that is brand new with just a tiny bit of shelf wear. Pointman, the True Story of a Young Marine's Brutal Ordeal in 'Nam, and His Journey Back Twenty Years Later.
Pointman is a very raw yet compelling real life story of one Marine's life during the Vietnam War. As a vet, I could not help but be pulled into his telling of pain and suffering, resilient strength and durability during this most testing time. The deep pain inflicted from those at "home" who ridiculed those who served and sacrificed, the deep change within a heart and mind from living in intense circumstances, and the challenges of leaving to assimilate back to a life before serving were all deeply felt. As Roger discovered, only God can heal brokenness, pain and the lashings of hate; both from within and without.
WARNING. THIS BOOK MAY CONTAIN THE FOLLOWING: BLOOD, GUTS, GORE, BRAINS, OFFENSIVE LANGUAGE, VIOLENCE, GRAPHIC HEALTH CLASS SCENES AND DIRTY HUMOR. NOT INTENDED FOR HEART PATIENTS, SQUEAMISH PEOPLESES, THE ELDERLY, OR THE YOUNGERLY (I know it's not a real word. Deal with it.) Sad and (see above) but excellent.
