What do you do when you start preschool? You play! You learn! But sit in the corner and refuse to speak to anyone?... Unfortunately if youre as shy and nervous as Emma, this is what you do. Or, you can stand up, put your mask on, and firmly place your hands on your hips and stand proud. Stand and be Might-E!
Children and adults alike can relate to Emma, a shy, nervous, scared preschooler. Many of us have been in new situations that made us uncomfortable whether starting a new school or a new adventure. Hopefully, we have someone in our lives like Emma's Dad who can help us find our superhero selves. Scavone writes a beautiful lesson for readers and listeners.
Emma is the type of child many can relate to. She's shy and looking for friends. Through a series of events she realizes that confidence really comes from within. Great book for preschools and early elementary children, especially those starting school or facing new challenges.
A transformative tale that shines a light on the power of believing in yourself--all channeled through the guise of a purple cape and mask. Scavone's writing shows us that it's possible to be brave, all it takes is a little encouragement from those who know us best.
Great book for the young one heading off to school for the first time! And a great message about how we all can be MIGHT-E in situations that might be out of our comfort zone.
Read this with my daughter and she enjoyed it very much. It is a great story to give little kids confidence in a new situation and around new people. The illustrations were fun and bright. Great children's book.
