This book gets stronger as it moves forward in time. There are several typos throughout the book.

One annoying thing was that the author would regularly use a secondary source’s quotation of a primary source. I wish the author would have taken a little extra time and just used the primary source.

Overall the book is solid and provides a basic, survey-level overview of the history of Christian education.

Good, solid overview. Apparently it's considered a "textbook" despite it's slender size. I guess that explains why it's so expensive. I'm selling mine, and if I want to read it again then I'll check it out via an inter-library loan.
