An avid rule follower when eating Animal Cookies: Broken ones get eaten first, match up the rest, duplicates next, line them up favorite to not, least favorite go first. Simply Paradise!

My favorite girls are back again & when they're not out looking for trouble, trouble finds them! Maddie & Fab are still doing "not dangerous" jobs for Brick, tending the crazies at the cottages, dealing with psycho girl & boyfriends, & trying to solve a murder before the murderer finds them. I'm going to quote from the back cover, as it says it all: "Swindled in Paradise will take you on a high-speed ride through non-stop action adventure, romance, & suspense, & leave you begging for more." Please take the time to read this entire series in order to fully appreciate the characters & their interwoven relationships. You will not regret it.

P.S. The only things I missed were not enough time with Miss January & her dead stuffed cat, & the reunion of Joseph & his blowup doll Svetlana.

Another fabulous installment of this series. This time, Didier is the one in trouble, and the girls are trying to help keep him from being charged with murder. The action starts on the very first page, and it continues to the very end!

All the usual family and friends are present, providing us with humorous incidents and secondary plots. Mac always makes me smile!

Madison is still growing and maturing through each book. It's good to see her think things through and be less reckless than when the series began. And the relationships between the girls and their men also continue to grow and strengthen.

The ending of this book has me anxiously awaiting the release of #9!!

Yet again trouble has made its way into Ms. Westin's life and let me tell you, it is super exciting for me! Beginning with a "safe" job from Brick for Fab, who as always drags in her favorite wing-woman Madison, you are propelled into a crazy scene that includes a drive by shooting. Sounds real safe right? But this is what I love about these books. The humor and complete lack of self-preservation on Fabs side mixed with the constand apprehension of Madison makes for a wild ride. Add in the accusation on Fab's new boyfriend, Didier, for a murder? Well of course the girls have to make sure they find out who really did it!

These books are amazing and while you probably could just read them one by one without going in order, I really think that I have fallen further in love with these characters because I have been involved in their lives from the rip. I have watched numerous relationships begin and implode, many murders solved, a plethura of crazy characters come and go, and all I end up with at the end of each book is the intense need for more. I need more Madison in my life. I need more Fab. I need them all. You won't go wrong if you begin this series with this book or book one just as long as you begin somewhere! I started reading this series right in the middle and fell in love with the fun and craziness of Madison and Fab. A couple of books in, I was able to go back and read the series from start to where I was and I loved it! The craziness hits way too close to home when Fab's lover boy is accused of murder. I would be as determined as Madison and Fab are to prove my honey's innocence, too (and I'd probably get into mischief, as well!). I feel the girls evolving with each book and I think they may be growing up a bit *Sniffle...it's almost like watching your own kids grow up!* Seriously though, you'll quickly find yourself addicted to this series and have to read more. The characters that Deborah Brown has created for each book always leave me wondering what kind of crazy antics she'll put the new additions up to in the next installment. I couldn't put it down (except for when I laughed so hard that my poor, weak bladder needed a break because I was afraid I'd pee myself) and the next minute, I had to stop and take a break because of the adventure going on! I know these are designed to withstand being a read-alone; however, go start this series from the beginning - you won't regret it!

With Fab and Madison and their friends and acquaintances fun is guaranteed. Even in this episode they have many problems to solve and get in trouble there's also Didier, the boyfriend of Fab. He's accused of murder and the two sexy PI should be able to find the real murderess to exonerate him.
The story begins in the best way, with a shootout. They have been asked to monitor the illegal activities taking place in the back of a bar. But they are greeted by a barrage of bullets. Madison also has to manage the complicated tenants of her residence, her mother with her young boyfriend, the detective, a friend of her brother that always considers her the main suspect in the case who has to solve. Because strangely where there is a problem, there are always Madison and Fab.
It's the eighth book in the series and provides all the information necessary to understand the story even if you have not read the previous. But for more fun and an even more affinity with the characters I recommend reading the series in order.
It's a book funny and easy to read, full of humor, action, suspense with a little of romance and passion.
If you like funny stories with bizarre and whimsical characters this is the perfect book for you

My Review

Fab & Madison are back, and so are the mounting number of dead bodies, escape scenes and near-death excursions. This time around, a murderer is getting revenge in Paradise, and somehow Fab & Madison are right in the middle of the mix.

Each time I read a Deborah Brown mystery, the characters become more well defined and robust. Fab is a kick-butt detective, a little dark and mysterious, but still the best friend and sister that Madison never had. In this volume, she shows just a hint of possible domestication and reveals that maybe the high level espionage and car chases are getting too dangerous. She might even, she reveals, settle down into the mild mannered business Madison has, after their most recent stunt.

Their boyfriends, Didier and Creole, are so close to whisking them off for places safe that they'll never be able to find their way out of; and yet they don't even know the details of the latest fiasco.

They've been shot at, surrounded by police, taken into custody, and booked. Still they are no closer to finding out whose out to get Revenge in Paradise.

Deborah Brown keeps me coming back for the next Paradise installment every.single.time!

Along with the rest of Deborah Brown’s Paradise Books, this one is just as infectious as the rest! I had side splitting pain from laughter, tears and I think there were even a couple times I got mad.

Deborah Brown’s short bio states, ” I wanted to create books with a wide-range of unforgettable characters, with heat and romance, and lots of guns. It wouldn’t be complete without a slice of humor and charm. My personal ad would read: There’s nothing a new pair of shoes can’t cure. Redhead. Long legs. There’s nothing like a strawberry-lemonade in summer. Favorite activity: Filling my pockets with seashells. An avid rule follower when eating Animal Cookies: Broken ones get eaten first, match up the rest, duplicates next, line them up favorite to not, least favorite go first. South Florida is my home, with my ungrateful rescue cats, and where Mother Nature takes out her bad attitude in the form of hurricanes.” and even before I read the first book I read of hers, I knew I would love them, and her as an author, and I knew I would be dying of laughter with the books!

Our favorite girls are back again… Madison and Fab, when they’re not out looking for trouble, trouble finds them. The ending of this book leaves me highly waiting for book #9!

Our Beck Valley Books review of Swindled in Paradise by Deborah Brown - Paradise Series 'Deborah Brown has created a wonderful array of characters'........

"Chick lit lovers eat your heart out and get ready for another rip roaring ride with our two favourite heorines in Tarpon Cove. Full of sexual tension, fraught with danger along with basic human instinct of survival and to prove their loved one innonence in a murder case Fab and Madison take us on a very interesting journey.

Deborah Brown has created a wonderful array of characters who work on both sides of the law and when needed all bond together to protect each other. The author writing is easy to follow and even though this is the eighth book in the series the creative imagination and excellent story line keeps up the other 7 excellent encounters. This book like all the others can be read on its own as the writer explains each character and their role from previous novels so the reader can follow the plot very easily.

A very easy and enthralling read and if anyone likes to collect authors this must be on your list."

The fight to protect your lover

Madison and Fabiana both pretty and troubled makers ladies strike again in Ms. Deborah Brown's new book Swindled In Paradise. This time they are not only working but have the toughest job to protect the love of their life especially Didier who is accused of murder.

Can you imagine this two James Bond girls will do to solve the crime? Just like the other books of this series, Swindled In Paradise is fun to read. You will never stop reading until you reach the last page. This book is always funny to read aside from heart thumping stunts that these women always do.

Madison and Fabiana have no fear. They are even willing to sacrifice their life for friendship(they call each other's sister not by blood but by heart) and especially for their boyfriends. The book is full of stunts as always. You will never have a dull moment reading each chapters. The women are unstoppable.

Paradise series by Ms. Deborah Brown is my favorite series. Just like the other books from the other series, I highly recommend Swindled in Paradise to everyone who

all but especially mystery.

I received a paperback copy of the book to review. All my thoughts and opinions are 100% honestly mine.

This is my second Deborah Brown / Paradise Series novel and I enjoyed it as much as the first. Brown is truly the queen of continuity because the character portrayal and attention to detail was seamless. All the old favourites are there, Brick, Spoon and Madison's formidable, cigar-smoking mother.

This time, Madison and Fabiana are trying to save someone very close to them from ending up in the slammer. There have been grisly murders and a very shady collection of property developers are at work . As usual, there is a series of extra cases that the two girls solve in their roles as PIs, each one of them being entertaining and different. You never know what the girls are going to take on next.

I'm not going to spoil the ending for you but the novel is fast paced, highly entertaining and works as a stand alone story. It's fun, escapist stuff and the two female protagonists are street smart, entertaining and ballsy.

Highly recommended.

What a great addition to this series! Fab and Madison are at it again, and this time they're trying to protect Didier, Fab's love. He's been accused of murder, and Fab and Madison are trying to clear his name (without getting into too much trouble!) Of course, since it's these two ladies, there will always be trouble!

There's kidnappings, gunfights, psycho exes, and suspicious cops. Didier, Creole and Madison's family are all trying to keep the ladies out of trouble, but their attempts at protection drive Fab and Madison deeper into the dark side of the Keys.

This book is part of a series, but it can be read as a stand alone book. Ms. Brown describes her characters so well that you don't need to read the whole series to love the story. However, I definitely recommend starting from the beginning and enjoying how much these ladies have grown!

I have to say that I was so not prepared for this one! I wondered what angle the talented Deborah Brown would take this time & I have to tell you that she left me on the edge of my chair while I was reading the latest in The Paradise series. I've read every book in this series so obviously I've grown to love the main characters. But I wasn't mentally prepared for Didier, the love of Fab's life, to get himself caught up in a mess himself! I kept wondering how in the world Fab & Madison would be able to solve the latest mystery in time to keep Didier out of jail. Of course they saved the day with Creole & some Help, but it was a close call. And the ending...all I can say is FINALLY! (Perhaps some wedding bells with a few dead bodies for the next book? ;) *hint hint*)

I was so excited to get to review Swindled In Paradise and find out what comes next for the caper-prone duo of Fabiana and Madison.

If you haven't read any of the books, you'll want to start at the beginning, they're that entertaining. Swindled In Paradise is the latest installment, and does not disappoint. Shootings, illegal gambling, and a stolen horse start off this galloping tale of adventures. One of my personal favorites was a scene in which Fab breaks into a house, and finds it's owner unexpectedly at home.

Creole and Didier round out the fascinating quartet. The guys have their hands full keeping their ladies out of trouble, as evidenced by the repeatedly disabled GPS tracker on Madison's Hummer. Still, the girls are doing wrong things for right reasons most of the time, and they manage to keep making their narrow escapes.

Another new author for me .. classified as a mystery but it was the cover that caught my eye, thinking possibly it would be a light entertainment romance.

Admittedly the setting sounds delightful .. sun, sand, sea it has all the trappings for romance but also murder apparently. We follow the antics of Madison & Fab as they search out the clues to unravel the mystery. The humour is really ‘out there’ & the names of a lot of the characters made me smile .. the author’s sense of fun shines through!

Fast-paced entertainment .. obviously part of a series which possibly I should have read more of to fully appreciate the inter-weaving relationships but even so a fun read if you don’t take life too seriously.

Oh how I have missed my people! I love Fab and Madison! And of course, Didier and Creole. Although I see Kevin has not changed.

Swindled in Paradise starts immediately with the action. That doesn’t surprise me with Fab and Madison, but the real shocker came not long after that when Kevin comes to arrest Didier.

There is no shortage of crazy and wild events with the wild crew of the Paradise series and it was just as enjoyable as all the previous 7 books!

If you haven’t read any of the Paradise series yet, don’t worry. Swindled in Paradise did a great job filling in a lot of gaps if you missed the previous books, but I guarantee that once you read this one, you will go back and read the previous.

Didier and Creole make plans for the group to invest on a condo development deal. Before they can tell Madison and Fab about it, Didier is arrested for the murder of the developer’s vice-president. As the girls work to prove his innocence, they find themselves in several dangerous situations, as well as humorous ones.

These characters grow more and more with each story. As usual, this one starts the action on the first page and doesn’t let up until the end. I would gladly be a third wheel alongside Madison and Fab, even with the danger they always seem to attract. The Westin family (and company) may be dysfunctional, but they are all so perfect to me.

Oh how I love, love, love this series!! Madison and Fab will have you chuckling right along with wondering how in the world they will get out of the messes they get themselves into! Of course this time it was their hunky boyfriends who started the mess--specifically Fab's boyfriend. And of course all of the other zany character's are in this one as well. These are truly fun reads which I know, I at least-read from cover to cover --I can't put them down until the very last page!!

Madison sure knows how to get herself into trouble! This time Fab's beau is the one in hot water. From the beginning I knew this was going to be an action packed installment of this series. Murder is in the air and the gang has managed to get fully wrapped up in all the drama.

Madison is really coming into her own. She's found an amazing boyfriend (sexy as all get out, and a gentleman to boot), she's got a couple of businesses up and successfully running, yet she keeps managing to be a trouble magnet. It just goes to show, no matter how perfect things look from the outside no-one has the perfect life.

"Swindled in Paradise" by Deborah Brown is the eighth book in the Paradise series. This time Madison and Fab are in Tarpon Cove where everything is beautiful. A terrible murder is discovered in one of the condos along the beach. Could the murder of the vice president of a corporation be just the start of bad things happening? What is really happening behind closed doors. This book has lots of action and intrigue. I give this book a 4/5. I was given this book for a review and these are all my own opinions.

Without fail, Deborah writes such an exciting story that I have to read as much as I can in one sitting, I have to know what happens to Madison and Fav, they get into all sorts of trouble and amazingly get out of it in the most creative and unbelievable ways. It is always a lot of fun to read these Paradise treats. Each one bringing a fun story that will pull you right in! No matter which one you choose to start with, you will want to read them all! I participated in a book tour and received this book at no cost.

The girls got it right! I can't blame them for wanting to enjoy sun, sand, in beach. Heck! Who in their right mind wants to dodge bullets, find dead bodies, and then have to work? That's exactly what the snarky Fab and feisty Madison get done. Meeting all their friends again and their boss, always looking for them to do a job, these girls take the reader on yet another adventure. Sit down, relax, and be glad you're not them as you enjoy another Fab and Madison adventure! Have a good ride, and wait for the next. That's what I am going to do, and I can't wait. Until next time. This series has become one of my faves of 2015. Fab and Madison do not disappoint. They are so adventurous and keep me guessing on what they will do next. I really love how Deborah Brown puts some humor into her books too. The girls get caught up in some trouble again and reading about how they overcome it was so much fun. I really wish my life was even half as exciting as theirs is. Really great read!

In, Swindled in Paradise, Fabiana and Madison are at it again. Right from the beginning of the book you are drawn into the story. In this book Deider is the one in trouble. As the girls are doing everything they can to keep him from being charged with murder there are ups and downs along the way. Be sure to read this book to find out the fun, interesting, and exciting up’s and down’s these girls have set out on!

Another awesome book!

This is another fantastic addition to the series and each book is as good as the one before it. I can't help but feel enveloped by this amazing group of people that have ended up together. This close knit group just makes you feel good. There is always excitement and never a dull moment and I love that about each book in the series, this one no different. It's really nice to see them all come together both to have fun but also to help each other when needed and to look out for each other. I am always looking forward to the next book and new adventures.

Things Are Heating Up
This book is the 8th in a series that is best read in order. The story takes place in South Florida. It centers around a pair of kick-butt female PIs, their friends, and family. In this episode, there are so many things going on and going wrong that it is an 'edge of the chair' page-turner. I have been binge-reading the series and enjoying it to pieces. I am off to read book 9.

Ih The Last Two Lines

It’s about time. LOL. This book was another great ride. Boyfriend in trouble. Suspected of murder. One thing I love about these books is that there is more than one issue going at the same time. For example, in this book they are trying to find out who the real murderer is while also getting info on a psycho ex girlfriend , and to ferret out who is beating up Bricks strippers. Lots of mystery and laughs.

Just as good as the others!

The girls and guys got into the most dangerous of the books so far and Fan saved the day again with the help of Creole. Madison sat and watched, sort of, in the end. Another great book. Now for the last one.

These books are just so much fun. If you've read one, you know you're going to see the crazy characters that make this series such a delight. My advice is, make sure you read these in order if you can and read them after reading a deep thinking book. You need a break after those.
