The crowd cheered, and I whistled and clapped along with them. Then I froze as Ryland’s grays ensnared mine. Something powerful gleamed in them. Something predatory, and I was unable to tear away.
A thought crossed my mind. Should I run because of the way he was looking at me? I’d never had anyone look at me like that before. Not any of the menacing women in the prison who were picking their teeth with bones nor my ex when we were in the peak of our relationship. Ryland’s look was scary but another kind of scary. A pure sexual scary, and I kind of liked it.
My insides quivered, and my body ached for him. Sexual tension was a cunning enemy, always present, and I had ignored it since I’d met Ryland. But at the moment, I felt that I was going to blow if he came near me.
He moved, his body a ripple of power as he stalked toward me, ignoring the crowd seeking his attention. A reporter with a death wish stepped in front of him, cutting off his path.
Ryland halted to shoot the man a glare. The reporter changed his mind fast and scurried out of Ryland’s way. Coach threw his hands in the air, shouting at Ryland to stay, but was ignored. Ben must have had iron balls to put a hand on Ryland’s shoulder, but Ryland shot his grays to him, and Ben lifted his hands and backed off slowly.
My jaw had already dropped but fell even more when Ryland vaulted himself up the cage’s chain link, over the edge, and leaped to the ground, his knees bent to soften the impact. The spell broke when people swarmed him like flies, and I lost sight of him.
Tyeesha gave my hand a quick squeeze, mumbling, “Oh Lord, someone has it baaad.”
Who had it bad? Me or him? Because I freaking had it bad. I needed to get the hell out of here before he caught me. As I decided to run far away, maybe Hawaii or someplace farther, I watched the unfortunate person in front of me get tossed aside, and Ryland’s T-shirt-clad body materialized two inches from my face. I cranked my head back and froze.
The lights flashed behind him, and I blinked quickly. The crowd moved and buzzed around me, but they were merely background noise. His white teeth flashed in a predatory way, his grays were molten, and the way he was staring at me had my body flaring from a single flame to a freaking inferno. Run? What was the definition of that word? Before I knew it, he bent and I landed on his shoulder, my breath escaping me.
We were moving before I realized what was going on. I didn’t struggle, but I did attempt to brace myself on his back so I didn’t just hang there. He carried me out of the arena like he was a victorious warrior claiming the glory, claiming his prize. And I was his prize.

***5 "Snuggle Up to me" stars from me***
Well, well... That book cought me by surprise!!! I couldn't believe that it will be sooo... good!!!
I loved it and i couldn't put it down!!!
If you love MMA fighters and if you love to read a great story, this is your book!!!
It was having it all... It was funny, steamy and hot, without being too much and it was full of angst and adventure...
It was a nice company for my mind and soul!!!
Jade was having "bad luck". I really don't know how else to call her situation... She unwillingly got involved in an ugly situation and now, after a year and something later, she is struggling to continue with her life... Her debts are too many and high, so she became a little bit of creative...
She opened her own business with the name "Snuggle up to me" and she became a professional cuddler!!!
Yep, you heard right!!! And no, that doesn't mean that she was a prostitute!!!
Yeah, i thought the same thing but i was wrong about it...
She was offering affection and tenderness to other people by cuddling with them...
Yeah, it sounds sweet, but i don't think that i could be able to do this job. It sounds a little bit weird and dangerous, but Jade had take her measures... She even had rules....
1. No sex
2. No touching in sexual parts
3. Clothes were stay on at all times
4. Clients would sleep, but she set the alarm...
And it was working, in some way!!!
The only man that was crossing the lines was this hot famous MMA fighter... but she is trying very hard to keep it professional between them.
But the troubles for her have no end, so she is forced to take the job that Ryland was offering her!!!
Eight months in the road with cuddling together for every single night of them...

What can i say about this guy??? He was amazing!!!
Even if i tried to not love him, that will be impossible, as impossible was for Jade to stay away from him, even though that she was trying really hard. Yep, she tried... I recognised that to her!!!

Ry was a beautiful man, a great fighter and a very good man...
Yep, he had his flaws too... He was a little bit possessive, he was acting like a caveman and he was taking always what he wanted. And he wanted Jade. From the first moment...
What i liked very much was his cleverness and how sneaky he was... I liked the way he was thinking and i liked even more the way that he was reacting!!!! He never gave up on the things that he wanted... He would find a way, even though there could be some difficulties.
I also liked very much his protectiveness toward Jade.
"Listen, baby doll, because i'm only going to say this once. I saw you. I wanted you. So i found a way to get you. It may not be the way you're usually approached, but i knew at that time of your life, you didn't want a man. You hold back. You hold back a whole lot. The truth is i didn't want a woman either. I don't want to want you, but i want you too much for you to get away."
Well, as you already understand, i really loved that book.
I loved all the characters, even the secondary...
They were all of them amazing, but i loved more Jade and Ryland.
They were fitting so good together... and i don't mean only in sexual part.
Their interactions were full of surprises that kept me all the time on edge... Jade didn't want a man after what she was been through before, but Ry was a very insistent bastard...
I also want to say that i didn't like Jake at all. He was a mean dickhead and what he did not only one time, but twice was unacceptable!!!
And OMG, i was feeling so bad for Jade after all those shit that she've been through!!! She was a true fighter...
"I need you to understand, baby doll, i want something, i find a way to get it. I wanted you, i got you. Still want you, even with the trouble you came with. You're worth the fight."
(Ohhhhhh!!! Isn't he sweet???)
Will we have a second book??? If we will, i definetely want to read it!!!

A cuddle a day keeps the fighter…happy.
I started Want with my tongue firmly lodged in my cheek. A cuddler and a fighter??? OKaaaay... Yes, this chick is a professional cuddler. It makes sense…kind of. I’m the first person to admit that there is nothing better than a cuddle from my hubby and kids, but a complete stranger...not sure. Maybe if her services included a play with my hair or tickle my back, I’d think about it. Now, this is the part I get about the cuddling business…it’s not always about sex. It’s about the connection, catching up, chatting and dedicating time to each other. A person connecting like that with a complete stranger… I didn't get that. By the end of the story though, I could actually see where this sort of job has a place.
The story starts with us meeting Jade and she’s in a spot of bother. It's the old story of - you think you know someone, and then you find out all the things you thought you knew, were maybe something you dreamed up. She was engaged and loved a man named Jake. He was leading a double life and that life put hers in jeopardy. What once was a promising start…engagement, new house and a university degree, became tarnished just from knowing and loving the wrong man. Jade is trying to make a new start but with study debts and the expenses for her new business "Snuggle Up to Me", she’s struggling. Luckily for her, her clients were varied but mostly nice. One, though, makes it harder to keep her cuddles platonic. Ryland is intense...and he wants more.
Ryland is an MMA fighter. He has worked hard to get to the level he has attained. Once he has his sights set on something he won’t take no for an answer and his sights are set on Jade. His strategy to get her onboard with his plans were a little unconventional but gave me a few chuckles too. From the start, you can see that he cares for her and is looking to protect and help her.
This story is about seeing Ryland finish his career on a high and getting Jade to a good and safe place beside him. Jade's protective barriers need to be taken down for Ryland to have a chance, but he's willing to fight for her. The connection between Ryland and Jade was slow to cement, but you could see that her fight to get her life back on track and his determination would lead them to a HEA.
To some extent I felt like Jade’s character was a lot sillier than she should have been. Considering she had a degree, and part of it in psychology, she could not read people well and most of her problems centred around misjudging people. This along with a few other eye-rolling plot points made it hard for me to fully invest in the story.
I did enjoy the quirky characters. I loved the hot and determined Ryland, the friendly and sweet Tyeesha, the brash Coach, the supportive Ben, Maverick the scary biker and the reserved, workaholic Jules.
This was my first story by Emma Rider and while it wasn’t perfect, I still enjoyed it for the light-hearted, feel-good romance that it was. If she was to share Maverick’s story along with Jules and Jases’s story, I think I would definitely go back for more.

5 "Babydoll" stars
Jade had a rough time in life for too long. Coming up with the idea of be professional cuddler was one the best things she ever thought of. She knows that every human needs affection and her hours with them - cuddling - makes them and her feeling better. What she never thought of happend was one of her clients to be one big HOT MMA fighter.
When it comes to work she had strict rules but when it comes to Ryland these rules were a little hard to keep.
When she was with him she felt secure and safe.
When Ryland offered her a job - to be with him on a tour for eight months and be his cuddler everyday it was hard to say NO . Especially when there is a danger for her and she needed the money he was offering.

The charactes in this book were AMAZING!
I loved Jade ! She was badass, funny and witty.
She wanted her freedom, she wanted to feel safe again and to be happy. She was strong minded and smart. She wanted to keep it professional with Ryland but their connection was too strong. She couldn't resist his aura for so long. She was captived by his protectivness he possesed for her. Even whe she was fighting with him her feelings only grew stronger because she realized that he only wanted to protect her.
Ryland "Savage" Cole is the man who will make your panties melting!
He had everything you want from a man. He was sweet, he was hot, he was a bit possesive.. he was alpha in every good way ! Ever since he laid eyes on Jade he felt the need to be with her, in every way. But he took his sweet time doing that. He fight to be with her, to win her heart and her trust. Above all he was determinate to make her HIS !
I liked the way he understood what Jade had been through. He wanted to help her with everything, to know everything AND he had tactics doing that.. oh boy didn't he?! *sighhh*
He was a true fighter, in and outside the cage. When it comes to his woman he would never give up!
To say that I enjoyed their steamy scenes would be an understatement! They clicked so good together. Hot and passionate love all over your face! One minute they are like animals and the other they are making a sweet, sweet love..
The story got twsits you wouldn't see coming but all of them make this even more awesome. It keeps you edge most of the time and you wouldn't want to put the book down till you are finish with it!
Overall this book was amazing! I loved everything about it! It made me laugh, swoon and hot! The writing was so easy to read and the story keeps you wanting more because the characters are so great!
The job as a professional cuddler may sound weird and odd but when you see the reasons why the heroine pick that work you will understand it completely. This is about helping people, to want to make a better life for someone. It comes with all the danger but when you to give affection to a broken or just lonely soul you don't think of that. This book was unique by herself because it shows that even big, strong people needs affection, someone to hold them and make them feel good, feel loved!

I have to hand it to this author...the profession of the main female character, Jade, it was quite unique and I haven't read anything like this before.
What am I talking about? Well she is a "Professional cuddler " . I know right?
Be honest? You are thinking that's a code for prostitute right? :P
No it's not...she truly is a professional cuddler and one of her clients is non other then Ryland “The Savage” Cole, MMA's poster child.

A shredded transparent bag was trapped in the trunk and hanging down the bumper.

Having a record hanging over her head with and no job prospects she borrows money from her best friend to become a "Professional Cuddler" with her business named "Snuggle up to me."
Grabs the calculator and adds up all the times I've been a snuggle cuddler to the partner *Genius*
No, I was not a prostitute. I was not a stripper, What I did was deliver affection to people who needed it. I held them or they held me, whichever they preferred.
I had rules to cuddling. 1. No sex. 2. No touching in sexual places—such as groin or chest area. 3. Clothes were to stay on at all times. 4. Clients could sleep, but I set an alarm for us.
With Ryland, however, I’d broken most of those rules.
Jade borrowed money to pay off debts and to start up her professional cuddler business off her best friend Gus, later on it transpires that he'd stolen the money off a notorious biker gang thinking they wouldn't notice until he paid it back..But they noticed..Shit hits the fan and this is where Jade agrees to go on tour with Ryland..The chemistry between these guys is off the scales hot..
When Ryland aka Savage wants something he gets it by any means possible, paying or threatening Jades snuggle clients which gave him security knowing she was safe..He's a bit of an alpha cave man but oh so hot..

That sounds like an easy-squeezy, ideal type of situation right? But how do you remain professional when your client is hot as sin and wants you in the utmost, primal way? What happens when the feeling is mutual?
As many of adoring fans and lucky women would put it,
*Man, my panties are tingling*
Will his reputation succeed him?
And will Jade give him and herself a chance to what could be? Or will she let her past and current insecurities plague her from pursuing a much more brighter & delicious future?

I thoroughly enjoyed this, although I would have personally liked more actual build up between Ryland and Jade…I don’t know. There was something missing for me that linked from Ryland’s attraction to Jade, his relentless pursuit of her, that led to him falling in love with her. While it was explained in the book, there was that little leap hole on my end that truly connected me with him and his ‘have to have’ her at all costs no matter the stakes.
As for Jade, there was a little of the falling in love aspect too, with Ryland that did seem at times superficial as well. Sure, he was tall, dark, and handsome, was relentless and persistent with you and protected you… but there was a gap for me that didn’t fully bridge everything cohesively together.
I’m not saying that what I nitpicked on took away from my reading experience, because it didn’t. I love my alpha possessive males getting all, “Me Tarzan, You Jane” type of scenarios, although, I just would have liked more back work and character growth between the two is all.
All in all though, since there looks to be a book two in the future, I hope for there to be a novel on Jaes&Jules and a little more sneak peak updates on Ty&Marcel!

Fortunately for me,I have already heard about professional cuddlers so I had no problem with Jade's job,however I don't think it's a one man/woman job and that was the first problem I had with this book.Jade is a nice character and I enjoyed reading from her perspective,even though she can be very naïve and stubborn (but not in a good way) sometimes.The main male character is a bit weird to be honest.I like him,but he definitely needs to work on his possessiveness.Also,the whole "my woman" thing is just screaming *CAVEMAN*.The story,however,was very interesting and never lacked action or drama,which is really great.
I need Jules's and Jase's story,though.Also,the author is gorgeous.I mean,look at her.
Overall,a really nice story.

I know this book was well regarded by many. There were just so many things that drive me nuts, I could not rate it highly. On the plus side, I read the entire book. It was a bit like watchful a train wreck, but wrecks are interesting.
I hated the heroine only POV. One scene from Ry's POV does not count.
I hated it because I greatly disliked her. I did not hate her, because it is wrong to hate stupid people. And she is stupid!!!! Everything I read about her past, present and future equaled STUPID. Not a bad person. Actually a good person. One who cares about those close to her. But so fucking naive and stupid. Pulling a gun on a biker? When there is another in the house? F'ing idiot! Cuddle business?! Stupidest business ever! Creepy and stupid.

Ok so even with the heroine and strange setup. I was into the book. Passing 50% and still no sex, I was getting pissed. Then we get a total train wreck of an ending/last act. It was like the author decided to vomit on the pages.
First, right when stuff gets good, don't skip ahead weeks at a time. I don't want to miss the hit sex that occurs I the begining of the relationship.
There were soooo many issues left resolved. Line the BET? Come in! Maverick?
Stupidest moment might have been the MMA crew showing up in their paintball uniforms trying to look bad ass.
I am too tired to continue. But let me end with this. I love a celibate hero. Thank you for writing one. But I need moore.

I really enjoyed this book!
The story was good and Ryland&Jade were great together!
Jade went through a lot before she desided to be a professional cuddler!
(which is not a job)but when you don't have options you do the next best thing.
Ryland was a MMA fighter one of the best and this year was his last before retiring...
He wanted her from the beginning so they cuddled often...

This is the story of Jade who has a cuddle business. It sounds sexual but it isn't. On the contrary it's all about the contact.
I have to confess that although I was hesitant about this book, I absolutely loved it! I was worried that it will be like Real (that I really didn't like) but I was so wrong! Want is a book that made me feel on so many ways! I've laughed, cried, held my breath and most of all felt!
The book is written from Jade's POV (with the exception of a chapter that Ryland's POV was needed) and it was great!!! The writing is direct, funny and original. The plot moves fast with a couple of twists.
Jade is a survivor! She is proud and she has morals! She is also honest with herself about what she wants. I really loved her! Jade was full of passion in everything she was doing and it was great to feel it!
Ryland is a totally alpha-male. He is kind of mysterious but he is true in his heart. He knows what he wants and he goes for it no matter what. I liked his clear way of thinking and his protective side. It's actually refreshing to read about a guy who has such a clear view on his wants and his actions without acting crazy!
Their interactions were amazing! I loved every single of them!
The end of the book was fantastic! There was action, suspense, love, everything actually! I definitely recommend this book to everyone who loves to read a good romance!!

That's the most interesting job I've ever heard of anyone having. Ryland is hawt and yummy and doesn't really know the word no. Jade was skittish, and Ryland had his job cut out for him. His MMA team was great, and I hope Ms. Rider has plans for Jules and Jase's HEA.

This is not a review. Dnf at 47% and now I'm in a reading slump. It just really didn't do it for me. I just feel like it's dragging me deeper into the slump instead of helping me get out of it. If you know what I mean.

I'm so glad I got to read this amazing story. At first I wasn't sure, if this one was for me but that quickly changed once I started reading it.
The story starts of with Jade and how she re-invents her life after the disastrous mess her ex fiancé left her in, by starting her own company that provides professional cuddling service. One of her clients happens to be Ryland “Savage” Cole, who is also a MMA fighter and soon the opportunity arises for Jade to go with him on his last tour and be at his disposal 24/7 as his cuddling buddy. After some troublesome events that force her to accept his proposal, their love story takes its course.
I got confused a few times because of the writing style, it wasn't as fluid as I'd liked it to be. The present/past intersections of h's story were at times too sharp and sometimes I wished for a more detailed scene, so I'd have a clearer picture of what was going on, especially the action scenes.
That being said, I loved H's character and his determination to get his woman. He never wavers in his pursuit and after they (finally) get together I really liked his way of showing her what she meant to him. The h was at first not my favourite character. She was too stubborn and kept pushing H away for over half the story by finding excuses as to why they shouldn't be together. She won me over after . I felt like we got to see a whole new side of her.
There's romance, action, angst, loyalty and of course we also get our HEA. All in all a great read. :)

It was a really good and sweet book. Throughout the read a lot of times, for me, it had a Real series from Katy Evans feel (and I'm such a Remy fan ;) ). I love that the H was celibate after first sight of the h, it was refreshing! He was so sweet and devoted, and never gave up.

An MMA fighter who without so much as trying can make any girl swoon, but what he really WANTS is her. That girl. Jade. The one person that he shouldn't want..
Jade breaks many of her firmly set rules when it comes to Ryland, and from that point we get so see a slow but ever so addictive transformation, one that will bring all sorts of a roller coaster ride into the mix. He is every bit of that drool, worthy, tall, handsome, filthy mouthed and all round bad ass perfection that ANY girl would be head over heels to have or rather keep as hers for a long time. It was easy, oh so very easy, to see how Jade's jaw dropped at everything and anything to do with him and that was BEFORE she even met the real Ryland, the inside of his mind was as messed up, heartbreaking and dark as you might never have guessed going from his "Neanderthal" ways of acting around Jade.
Jesus. If your panties aren't soaking wet after you get a little (ahem.. nothing could ever be little about Ryland but for writing sakes..) glimpse this god sent creature.. *picks up drool* Yes, I did fall for a fictional character and yes I am still recovering from trying to pick up my not so very sane pieces of my mind and heart. BUT in my defense? ... .. Oh who am I kidding. Loving Ryland needs no explanation..
With emotions and sexual tension running high during every moment that these two so much s sense they are in the same space, an addictive sexy read turns into a dark, heart-wrenching, fun and drool worthy Ryland filled story which will only make you crave more and more!!
I loved that I was s easily able to get lost in the story, and that's a hard thing to do since I've read a countless number of MMA or fighter books which may have a similar backbone that can often make it less than exiting or a breath of fresh air. With WANT though, you get everything that you are looking for in an all consuming and adoringly sinful story..
There wasn't really anything that I could fault so much as just thinking that maybe the attraction between them at the beginning could have been a little more developed? It's just one of those aspects that maybe I wish wasn't missing, or just in my point of view something that could have been more prominent. Like I said, it's nothing major at all but it did stand out enough for me to be able to remember it throughout and at the end of the story, but it didn't take away from my overall loving and addiction to this gorgeous book!!
I cannot bloody wait for the next book by Emma Rider and if it's anything as soulful, drool worthy and heartbreaking as WANT? I think my sanity doesn't really have a chance in surviving.. It's all worth it though!

His eyes were the same gray as my illegal 9mm I had stashed in my bedside table for easy reach whenever I went to sleep at night. The color wasn't exactly as sleek and pristine as silver but the chrome of weapon - a weapon that could've been used for destruction or defense, however the owner chose to utilize it. This wasn't THAT bad...but it wasn't that good, either. The characters were likeable, but it wasn't realistic. I mean, she gets set up by her bf, got sent up to the pokey, becomes a professional cuddler for hire, has this supremely HOT MMA fighter who happens to see her ad ans says "Ooooo, I want that!!", he then goes uber protective and uses his staff to fill all available time slots in her schedule because it's too dangerous for her to have that kind of job after meeting her once?!?! Whaaa the what??? Not to mention the bikers, the stalker, and the ex. Yup, all of that. Ugh. Just too busy. Also, the way things were found out by us was weird. For example, she walks on a plane goes ballistic, spends the better part of 2 days and 2 chapters being pissed at him before the author finally lets us know that when she walked on the plane that was when she realizes what he did because her clients were all members of his team? Dumbest shit ever. Plus the dude may be hot but he talks like a caveman....not that this is a bad thing but didn't really work for me here. It needed more dialogue to carry the really bad plot. And the only reason it has 2.5 stars is because the sex was okay and it wasn't so bad that I couldn't finish it. Certainly not the worse thing I've read.

Overall Opinion: This was an entertaining read, but I kind of wish it got deeper. When it was all said and done, I don't think I really felt a connection to either the h or the H. That might've been because we didn't get all that much character development. This will not go down as one of my favorite reads, and I have a strong feeling it will not be all that memorable (because it didn't get deep and tap into my emotions at all).
Storyline: This is Jade a Ryland's story. They meet when Ryland seeks out Jade's services for her snuggling company. Yes, you read right -- professional snuggling. Jade had to start her own business, because she has a criminal record because she was framed by her ex-fiancé with his drugs. She has rules in place, but she finds that they are hard to follow with the strong attraction that is always there between them. She had to borrow money from her friend Gus to start her business, but then she finds out that Gus stole some money from a mc because his trust fund ran out. So Jade feels responsible for his money problems, and offers to pay back the money he owes. Luckily, Ryland had just propositioned her to go on his final mma tour with him for the same amount owed. They stay professional for a good while, but then eventually give in to their attraction and become a couple. Ther is some ex fling drama, some mc drama, and some ex fiancé drama...but they find their HEA through it all.
POV: This was told mainly in Jade's POV, with only a few in ryland's (maybe just 1?).
Overall Pace of Story: Good. I felt like I read it pretty quickly, but I did skim through the violent scenes (I just weren't feeling them). I think that there were feelings developed before we started their story, so I wouldn't call it instalove.
H rating: 3 stars. Ryland. He was a bossy, cuddling, alpha.
h rating: 3 stars. Jade. I liked how she was loyal to Gus, and that she seemed to be a genuinely nice person.
Sadness level: Low. I didn't need any tissues for this one.
Heat level: Moderate. There were sexy times, but they were kind of meh.
Descriptive sex: Yes

Closure: This did have an epilogue that showed us a glimpse into their future as a couple, and I would say they have a HEA.
Worth the $?: Yes, I would say it's worth the $2.99 I paid on Amazon.

Соблазнилась я на почти все пятерки, которые поставили другие книголюбы данному роману. Как тут мимо пройти?
Сразу скажу, что почти с первых глав поняла - этот роман не "моя чашка кофе", в последнее время, этакая помесь "Моего прекрасного несчастья" и "Моего" не в моем вкусе.
Есть у нас героиня, с какой та БОЛЬШОЙ тайной в прошлом (попала деваха в неприятности), зарабатывает она жизнь собственным бизнесом - "Обнимашками", позволяет незнакомым людям за денежку обнимать себя или обнимает сама. Бизнес смешной, но героиня искренне верит, что помогает людям справиться со своими "тараканами". И, один из ее клиентов - крутой спортсмен, боец, весь такой секси-шмекси, героини прям не вериться как ей повезло. Отправляется этот боец в тур и предлагает девахи контакт на длинный срок, от нее требуется за сумасшедшие деньги тоскаться за парнем в туре и обнимать его. Деваха отказывается. А тут случается неприятность, заняла гг денюшки у друга, а тот украл их у байкеров и те его поймали и выставили предъяву обоим и приходиться гг согласиться на тур с бойцом. И во время тура их отношения быстро перерастают в любовные...
Мне не понравились отношения между героями. Парень будет под час принуждать девушку остаться с ним, будет вести себя агрессивно. Он вроде как рад взять под крылышко деваху с кучей проблем, взять лопату и начать их разгребать. ГГ вроде ничего, но в тот же момент очень уж безвольная, больше говорит чем делает. Все это я уже видела в других романах. Мне, кажется, роман придется по вкусе тем, кто любит когда герой альфа-самец до самых тапок, тогда вы будете пищать от восторга. Я, пожалуй, поищу что-нибудь более миленькое.

There was no cheating and ended with a HEA. Liked the Hero. Once H saw heroine, she was it for him. Enjoyed the MMA aspects. But, IMHO, the plot was somewhat weak and I didn't connect well with the MC. Professional cuddler, well, not even sure what to say about that. Disappointingly, the book was told only from the h POV, and it starts after H has been for her cuddle client for a little while. We don't really get much from the H initially seeing h and wanting only her, except a couple of sentences at the very end, so the book didn't start off with the intensity it could have. Nor was it very steamy.
I put the book down several times, so it didn't hold my attention like even some train wrecks do. I just quickly finished it though, with some skimming, as the title is expiring from scribd.

No OP drama from the perspective of either of H & h believing they cared for their ex though just the standard h getting kidnapped, etc. Oh, and there was a motorcycle club involved with a hot biker interested in h. MMA H, hot biker, things I usually like but for some reason, this book didn't deliver for me. Maybe partially as I really like the H POV and didn't get it. Not sorry I read it, but not a re-read.

I really enjoyed this book. Jade and Ryland were hot together. Their chemistry was believable and it was fun to watch. Jade has an interesting job as a professional cuddler. They actually do exist in real life. I looked it up. :-) Any who, her job is how she met Ryland, but it was only supposed to be a job. Nothing was supposed to develop between the two. Of course that was not how it all played out. Ryland had to work for it and break down all of Jade's walls. But Jade being in danger helped speed up the process. This story was fun, hot and sweet. I loved Ryland's team and hope to read more about them in the future. Really good book that I would recommend.

Sassy was talking about an ARC she got on a book where the heroine was a professional cuddler. I was all like "Say what? A professional cuddler. That sounds really odd." Then I realized I had an ARC for it too. Hmmm..... I seriously wasn't sure about it. I mean, it wasn't throwing up flags like the book about the MC Club Girl which turned out really good (at least the first one was good - the second one, not so much), but it still set off my "possible lame h" radar. But what could I do since I had an ARC? So I read it.
Jade was a mess. Quirky, cute, obviously strange (pajamas with sushi pictures on them...just saying that's strange), and definitely not the sharpest tool in the shed which is unfortunate since she had one seriously screwed up life and needed as much brain power as possible to get her through her situation unscathed. I'm not saying she was TSTL, but she obviously missed out on the "Make Good Choices and Think Things Through" gene. Still, I ended the book kind of fond of Jade. She was unbelievably (and kind of stupidly) loyal, had a great big heart, and she never, ever gave up. These are things I can respect and like about a person/character no matter how brain challenged they are.
Ryland was your typical alpha hero. He saw what he wanted and after he had her thoroughly investigated, went after her. He's determined, if a bit unconventional. Some of his actions caught me by surprise. One of his decisions was pretty freaking stupid, but he did everything he could to put Jade first and take care of her, which pretty much guaranteed a certain fondness for him too, no matter how dumb I thought something he decided to do was.
Want would make a great guilty pleasure read, or a beach read. You'd need to be about 3 or 4 Coronas in though before reading it. Why you ask? Not only because of the less than smart h/H, but so you don't notice the huge crater of a plot hole at about the 78% mark. Needless to say that plot hole bugged me and nagged at me throughout the rest of the book.
It was an interesting story and introduced me to some great characters who hopefully sometime in the future will get their own books.
I'm wavering between 3.5 to 4 stars. That gaping plot hole is holding me back even though the story is cute and I really liked it. Insert big sigh here. I hate plot holes and this one just made absolutely no sense.

Want is to simply put, about a professional cuddler -- yes, I'm serious -- and a professional fighter who falls in love with each other. When I first read the blurb and reviews for this book I was really, intrigued. The plot while, very cliche was soon forgotten.
I really liked the author's writing style. The story flows nicely and I was glued to my seat pretty much 'till the end of the book. This book is unputdownable.
Ryland “The Savage” Cole is your typical alpha male with your typical alpha male characteristics -- tall, handsome, bulging muscles, possessive, protective and prone to jealousy. But damn, isn't he just pure hotness?
One thing that I noticed about Ryland is that he reminded me so much of Kristen Ashley's Heros. With their weird sentence structures. Two to three words spoken everytime they speak. Not listening to the heroine when she's trying to convince of something. And narrating the heroine! I mean, the heroine, Jade even mentioned it!
"She calls me Ry and wears sushi pajamas," he said, still soft.
[...] I'm sorry, Ryland, but I need to go."
He kept the same soft tone. "And she thinks I'm letting her leave."
"Stop narrating!" I snapped stupidly. "It's annoying."
Also one detail that I noticed really reminded me of one of Kristin Ashley's book, Mystery Man. In that book the heroine got into trouble and she had a Motorcycle Club helping her. The leader of the MC was quite taken by her and the Hero was really bothered by this.
Just like in that books, Maverick the MC member was really taken by Jade. And told her to find him if "she ever gets bored" with Ryland. I'm not sure if it's a coincidence or not, but I definitely had a deja vu sort of moment.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book. I would love it if we get Maverick's book next? Pretty please?

Great H, exactly the kind I like. h was awful, she was too stupid and annoying. As for being a professional cuddler, I am beyond words. By the way, are you considered a professional if you just start doing something 2 weeks ago? Plus, I did not care about the love lives of all the other people around the H. There were some characters that wanted to know intimate details about the H from the h. I HATE that!!! I don't care how friendly you are with someone, you do not have the right to ask about their sex life. The exes for both the H and h were OTT evil and just too ridiculous. The h was so pathetic. She got involved with a bad guy who used her and ruined her life so she couldn't get a job. The ending didn't make any sense and felt like reading a poorly written action movie. The only thing I liked about this book was the H. He is super possessive of the h.

Loved this one. Especially Ryland and even Maverick, I would love to be in the middle of that sandwich!
I admired Jade trying to make the most she could of a shitty situation, you found herself in all sorts of drama. The sexual chemistry had me fanning myself reading this and egging them on to get to the nitty gritty.
Can't wait to read the next book, loved Emma Rider's writing style

lol This story made me laugh. I didn't know what to make of the description and so curiosity made me take a deeper look. I'm really glad I did. The plot is unlike anything I've read and I read a lot! It was fun, sexy, emotional, and funny. I definitely want more from this author! Let me just say that Ryland is definitely one of my top book boyfriends of the moment. :-p

The whole "professional cuddler" job made me roll my eyes so much. In fact, when I first read the blurb it was a total "No Thank You" but then a friend said I needed to try it. I'm glad I did. The hero? He totally made the book for me. I loved his character and his possessiveness/protectiveness of the heroine.
