Tactical Rescue is a Love Inspired Suspense by Maggie K. Black. There is pure romance and no sexual scenes. There is some violence though. It is a great summer read.
Zack Keats is on leave from his military duties when he hears that Seth Miles, Rebecca Miles’ stepbrother, was wanted for treason, theft, and attempted murder. He had hacked into sensitive government databases and stolen something. He knows Rebecca is camped somewhere near their old hometown military base and set out to find her before she heard the news about Seth. He didn’t want her to hear it while alone. He had told her when they were teens that he would always have her back and he intended to have it for her now.
Rebecca had spent her teens with General Miles when her Mother married him. Seth was his son and Seth and Rebecca had a temptuous relationship. Seth was a bully and took out his anger on Rebecca. Rebecca was glad when she was able to leave home. Her closest friend during this time was Zack Biggs, an overweight boy whose parents had both died and was living on base with his aunt and uncle. He later changed his name to honor his uncle. The two struck up an unlikely friendship that was broken when he failed to show up to take her to a sports banquet and then showed up later to tell her he had enlisted. Although she was angry with him, she had never forgotten Zack.
Now he shows up and it almost killed by an explosion and a motorcycle accident, Rebecca is kidnapped, he rescues her and then she flees him. What is going on?

Probably more like 4 1/2 stars. Was really intense, non stop action. Almost too nerve wracking. Very good!

I really enjoyed this Love Inspired Suspense Romance. I voluntarily chose to review this story and I've given this clean romance a 5* rating. Please note that there is some violence in this. There are a lot of ups and downs in this suspenseful read and a hidden abuse thing going on. Be careful how fast you judge others. This left me surprised by the ending.

Best book I’ve read in a long time!
This book has every plot twist and suspenseful moment you can think of. The characters are relatable and transparent. I enjoyed every second of this book. This is the best book I have read in a long time!

Not the type of book I would chose. It was given to me to read by a friend. The twists in the story were entertaining but the love story was blech. Relatively unbelievable but not a bad story.

I don't know about you but I really enjoy Maggie's work. She is an awesome story teller, especially suspense. This story is well written, action packed, and full of twists and turns. I know you will enjoy it.
Special Forces Zack Keats is on vacation in the Canadian Mountains when he hears that the only woman he ever loved is in danger. Her brother has been identified as a traitor and a murderer. The government is declaring that she is also under investigation. Zack takes off to warn her when her brother sets off a bomb to destroy the highway. Zack must get to Rebecca to save her from her brother.
Rebecca Miles is now a wildlife photographer. She left the home of her step father shortly after her mother's death. The General and his son had been abusive all throughout her teen years. The only one she had ever cared for was Zack but he had stood her up for her awards banquet and joined the military. He had broken her heart. Now he's here trying to tell her her life is in danger. How can she trust him?
This is a journey of two broken people struggling to survive attack after attack. They soon learn they must learn to trust each other and turn to God. Only God can get them out of the horror that surrounds them. God has a plan for these two. God has a plan for you too. You might not be running from killers but you do have someone that is trying to steal, kill, and destroy you and your house hold. God can make a way where there seems to be no way. Just turn you life over to him and give him control of your mess. God bless you all.

Mild book.No suspense and not much romance either. I had read another book(Silent hunter) by this author and that book has been amazing with lot of non stop action.
