Otis is primarily a romance about reunited long-lost love. Otis (also known as Steve) is a prominent member of the Selected Sinners Motorcycle Club – a 1%er outlaw club. Otis and Sam (Samantha) were high school sweethearts destined to become married; however, Otis didn’t want to be tied down with a wife and children – at least Sam didn’t think he could be happy without his freedom to ride. So, they went their separate ways with Sam moving to New York when they were 21 yrs old.
Fast forward 15 years later, Sam returns to their hometown as a widow when she receives news about her mother’s unconventional death. Knowing Otis still lives in town, she hopes she can complete her business without seeing him, as she assumes he is happily married, a fact she cannot bear to witness. Of course, fate can be a bitch and Sam runs into Otis her first night home. However, it seems as though time didn’t diminish their feelings for each other and they declare their love for each other sooner than expected.
For me, it took me a long time to warm up to Sam’s character. She returned to town, obviously mourning over the loss of her mother, but I didn’t feel her emotion. Then when I started to like her, I was shocked about the way she handled a particular issue, especially given her age and the supposed close relationship she had with Otis. I couldn’t understand why she would go to such extreme measures when she finally had the man of her dreams. That component of the story felt disjointed to me.
In between club business, Otis and Sam manage to get reacquainted with each other in some very sexy ways and places – a movie theater, botanical gardens – they love public sex!! These scenes were raw and hot! Otis is very commanding and is definitely an alpha!
The secondary plot is about an ATF agent infiltrating Selected Sinners Motorcycle Club. After years of being undercover, the ATF and US Attorney’s office are trying to substantiate their case without much evidence to sustain arrest warrants. Shit gets real when the undercover agent is discovered and the matter is handled in a way best suited for the benefit of the club.
I really enjoyed meeting Otis’ club brothers – Biscuit, Axton (Slice), Toad, Jack, etc. Each brother added personality to the plot, especially Biscuit! I also liked the Sunday dinners at Otis’ parents home – Ken (Otis’ father) was very entertaining!
The theme of the book underscored the notion of trusting your loved ones and sometimes that involves making difficult decisions. But, with the support of your family/club, those times are not lonely and “the devil looks after his own.”

Otis has always been in love with one woman only and when she moves away and gets married he doesnt let women get to close to him. 15 years go by and Sam returns for her mother's funeral. She is all alone in the world after her husband's death on 9-11 she moves from nyc to stl .so now she is back and always loved Otis but she doesn't know anything about him anymore. So when she stops off at a bar for drink to calm her she sees bikes out front and she walks in and sees the men sitting at a table it's when Otis turns around he gets the shock of his life .it's Sam the love of his life. He goes to her and she goes right in his arms. They are so explosive together and they are inseparable but when something happens unexpected will it destroy their relationship ?

“Otis”, the newest book in the series of stand-alone Motorcycle Club Erotic Romance novels, is quite different that the other two books which preceded it.
In the prologue we learn there is an ATF agent in the club, and that he has been there for several years on what is described the longest investigation in ATF history.
The book then proceeds with Otis’ life in the club.
Otis is the club’s go to guy. He seems to be the one that everyone goes to for assistance, advice, and to just hang out and drink beer with. He’s got his shit together, and he’s definitely got a good head on his shoulders, but as we’ve learned in the previous books, he does not have a woman in his life…
His devotion and love are for the club, his brothers, and he lives with the memories of the woman he loved first – his former high school sweetheart – as being sufficient to fill the void in his heart. In an effort to rid himself of unwanted attention and/or anyone finding out anything about his life as a Selected Sinner, he does not use Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or any other means of social media.
When his former girlfriend, Sam, comes back to town for a funeral, they encounter each other by happenstance.
Holy shit.
Otis (and his former girlfriend) are agoraphiliacs. Their sexual kink is having sex in a public place while someone else is or may be watching. The more public the place is, the better. The sex which follows their reunion is breathtaking and beyond what this author has previously shared with his readers.
This excerpt precedes a movie theatre scene like no other.

“Look at me, Sam. Look at me,” I said sternly.
“Okay Otis, I’m looking at you,” she whispered.

After a few seconds of studying me, she shrugged her shoulders, “No.”
“Okay. Now, do me a favor. For me. Stick your finger inside your shorts and feel that little pussy of yours. Tell me if it’s wet, Sam,” I said flatly.
After glancing around the theater nervously, she lowered her hand between her legs. I gazed toward her lap and watched as she slid her finger beneath the fabric of her shorts. After a few seconds, she sighed, raised her finger in the air, and wiped it on the seat beside her.
“Soaked,” she sighed.

Make no mistake about it, what these two share is a love like no other, but holy crap with the heat level of the sex.
Public swimming pool.
Sparsely populated movie theater.
Botanical gardens…

Sam struggles with the fact her former mate is in a 1%er MC.
He struggles with the concept of having a woman in his life altogether.
But somehow, love seems to conquer all.
As the book proceeds with the search for the ATF undercover agent, things heat up not only with the club, but with Sam and Otis’ relationship.
The ancillary characters in this book, primarily Biscuit, are beyond enjoyable, and in fact I found myself looking forward to their reoccurring roles in the book.
For me, this book was over and above the first two. The sexual portion of the book wasn’t at the ending like the other two. It was much earlier (and it fit the story VERY well). The story, subplots, plot, and climax were not announced by actions, and took me by pleasant surprise.
The utmost happiest of HEA’s, and several feel good moments preceding the ending. Additionally, the angst was just enough to keep me flipping pages as if I was attempting to put out a fire.
If you like HOT sex included in a very well written MC Romance which includes a great story, a heroine who isn’t a whiny bitch, and a hero who doesn’t cheat, this book is for you.
Just be prepared.
And have a change of panties handy.

It started so well and it went so wrong, so quickly!
I can't even list and rant about everything that annoyed me without major spoilers.
Maybe it was just me.. Now I'm kinda scared to read Biscuits book.

Quick! Someone get me another MC book, stat! I hate to write this but holy shit the heroine in this book is the worst human being ever. EVER! I am pro-choice all the way but I would have put this idiot in the mental hospital with how she reacted to her pregnancy. It came out of nowhere! She was going to kill herself because she was pregnant? She was 36. Not 16. THIRTYSIX YEARS OLD! And she didn't want to tell the father? So, killing yourself is the best option? I mean, really? Where's the logic?
I have the worst taste in my mouth after reading this farce of an MC book. I think I may be done with this author. A shame really, but he preaches too much and in this book the fact that he is a he might have played too big of a role. The MC drama- Gunnar being an ATF agent- was poorly executed and tied up way too neatly. Also, being 22 and breaking up with your boyfriend is not selfish- especially if it's because you wanted kids now and he didn't. Letting him define your life while marrying someone else to have him die in 9/11 and then be grateful he died? is that selfish? Yes or at least more selfish than what YOU thought was selfish. (Speaking to heroine who I hate.) Speaking of kids...I hated how her friends, Syd and Avery, reacted to her being pregnant. One actually said, DONT KILL IT! Seriously? Not to get too personal but I've know a few friends who have told me they were thinking of getting an abortion and that is NOT the way to react to a friends decision. (even if you don't agree!) But at the same time, this heroine was cray-cray, so...still. I would have run to the father and been like... dude, talk to your girl, she crazy!!
Anyway. Sorry to say these things but I gotta be honest. (and be able to remember in the future why I should never read this book again.)

I am not a lover of 2nd chance stories, but the circumstances of this one did not bother me.
Otis
Loved him in the earlier books. In this one, I liked him. A lot.
Sam
Never warmed up to her. Cannot say I hated her, but only because I gave not two shits about her so I could not reach the level of hatred.
Their sex life
public sex is ok for me to read. Can be hot. But In general I felt their sex life was overcompensating for lack of maturity, intimacy and self awareness. Just a couple trying to relive their teenage years. It was overdone. Once or twice ok, but these people cannot fuck in a bed.
They just fell back together instantly. Not enough story there. So I was not invested. At all.
The ending - how Sam reacted? She is a 30 something year old woman acting like a 15 year old! I was disgusted and disappointed. Grow the fuck up woman!!!

I initially thought that Toad’s & Sydney’s story were unfinished thankfully Otis’ book gave me answers to my questions 😁
One thing I find hilarious was a lot has happened & Sloan is still with Corndog, 😂 but I stll dont like her 😐
I really liked Otis especially on the first book in the series (Making the Cut) he is quiet but confident with who he is. As for Sam she is selfish and immature, after awhile of not being together (almost 16 years) I didn’t think she ever grew up or matured.. I was really disappointed cause I like Avery & Sydney but Sam even at the end she did not redeemed herself. 😞
The story also has a very slow pacing, there were times I had to skip, I really thought that there will be something special as they were being investigated. Sadly, nothing happened.. Still since I enjoyed the first and second book in the series. I’ll still try and check out the next 😊

Otis, for me is actually like a breath of fresh air. I know, right? This is an MC book and I expected angst and all that can be expected in an MC book. But what I’ve gotten was a whole load of other things.
Biscuit is a guy full of shit and I love his stories. Damn if I didn’t laugh out loud. Yes, not just lol but laugh out loud indeed. I actually had a hard time reading following his thoughts and the way he talks but when I got it, it was so totally light and humorous that it’s what the mood I have settled throughout reading. I know he doesn’t deserve to be mentioned first but I love the guy. You can’t blame me.
With Otis, I admire his sense of loyalty and the way he regards everything around him. He’s a no nonsense guy that takes love and protecting what you value to a whole new level. He is an alpha male that doesn’t fuck around. You gotta admire that.
Although while they were younger, Sam has matured ahead of Otis, well, most girls do, what I love about her is her sense of adventure. I didn’t actually got why she hated the cat in the first place anyway but the way she accepted the poor thing eventually, and how she realized why she’d come to like it was what endears her to me.
What I appreciate more in this book is with so many MC books that I’ve read, it didn’t occur to me to actually do a research before, I finally understood why bikers that are patched are called 1%er and how they come upon calling themselves as that.
I actually enjoyed the characters being agoraphiliacs , but with Sam’s struggle, I had to set it as my hard limit. I mean, I was quite expecting it, the change or the turning point that would decide their relationship together but I didn’t expect that what Sam felt would be too real for me. I felt her emotional struggle to the core and the way her thoughts spun, it was too much. It broke my heart to pieces I had a hard time detaching myself because fucked if it didn’t hurt too much.
The story of how it ends, I just love it. It emphasizes love, honor, and family in just a simple way I totally love it.

Mr. Hildreth, Mr. Hildreth, Mr. Hildreth,…. *head in my hands trying to get my thoughts together*….
I can honestly say that this author has made it possible, for me, to give a book that was full of situations and people I wanted to scream at or choke a 5 star rating. Simply because I am not sure a book has instilled this much emotion, good and bad, in a while…. I am officially adding this book as my new TOP choice for a coffee house discussion. Just thinking about debating this book with friends makes me smile. I am getting my soap box ready beware… heehee
Hmmm how to begin… Let’s start with Samantha. I am not sure I ever wanted to smack a Hildreth character more than Sam. I felt that she was selfish with many choices that she made. I can honestly state this opinion because I believe the statement, “if you spot it you got it”. I AM and have been in the past an extremely self-centered person. I am not stating this as a means of debate, it is a fact. Which was why I wanted to shake Sam on many occasions and the words “Get your head out of your ass” might have crossed my mind a time or two. I will not go into much detail for the book is newly released and I hate spoilers more than anything, so I try not to put them in a review. Sam’s last straw with me was under the tree, for in my opinion there is NOTHING in this world more selfish then suicide. I understand that everyone has their own tragedies and experiences, I am simply stating my opinion. Ok, I am not going to let you think that Sam was so one sided, because I honestly do not think Mr. Hilderth writes characters that way. Ok let’s move to man himself Otis…. The below picture was one of my favorite scenes, as a reader it helped me understand the joys of riding a motorcycle. Which a ride on one is now on the bucket list...
Steve Milner, biker name Otis, was a character that I admired and disagreed with which makes him someone I want to know more. I admired his devotion to those he felt were family and understood his desire to be free. I absolutely loved the scenes with his parents; they are giving the Ripton family dinners a run for the money. I laughed my ass off with his dad’s reaction to Pinterest recipes. BWHAHAHAHA
*Rolling up sleeves, twisting neck* Ok here it comes, I disagreed with the whole sex in public stuff, honestly I laughed my ass off in most of those scenes. Think what you will, I love sex as much as anybody; public domain sex is just not it for me. LET THE RECORD STATE, that does not mean it is wrong, it is just not my cup of tea. Sam and Otis had a love for each other that few people find, and what they do to show that love is there business!!! LOL- and they obviously have a thing for cement park benches; my mind immediately went to the scratches that she is going to have on her chest and stomach. It will hurt like hell to button jeans… just saying.
Ok to sum up, this was another wild Hildreth ride. There is still much more I want to say, seriously I have not even mentioned how he incorporates the in and outs of an MC into this book. I have learned everything I know of MC’s from reading this series and I can state with complete honest that I have respected the institution as a whole more with each book. And Biscuit, oh no to dive into the hilarity of him would make this review even longer. Just read this book, then you can come pull up a chair, grab a cup of coffee and we can chat. Well Done Mr. Hildreth, this one reminded me,

I can honestly say that this author has made it possible, for me, to give a book that was full of situations and people I wanted to scream at or choke a 5 star rating. Simply because I am not sure a book has instilled this much emotion, good and bad, in a while…. I am officially adding this book as my new TOP choice for a coffee house discussion. Just thinking about debating this book with friends makes me smile. I am getting my soap box ready beware… heehee
Hmmm how to begin… Let’s start with Samantha. I am not sure I ever wanted to smack a Hildreth character more than Sam. I felt that she was selfish with many choices that she made. I can honestly state this opinion because I believe the statement, “if you spot it you got it”. I AM and have been in the past an extremely self-centered person. I am not stating this as a means of debate, it is a fact. Which was why I wanted to shake Sam on many occasions and the words “Get your head out of your ass” might have crossed my mind a time or two. I will not go into much detail for the book is newly released and I hate spoilers more than anything, so I try not to put them in a review. Sam’s last straw with me was under the tree, for in my opinion there is NOTHING in this world more selfish then suicide. I understand that everyone has their own tragedies and experiences, I am simply stating my opinion. Ok, I am not going to let you think that Sam was so one sided, because I honestly do not think Mr. Hilderth writes characters that way. So I admit that I am totally addicted to this author’s writing style and especially the Selected Sinners series. I loved books the first two books in this series. Otis has been a favorite character of mine since book 1 and I was so looking forward to his story. Otis still came across as that sexy and, at times, sensitive man. I liked the point of finding a long lost, first love. I have to agree with some other reviewers in that, for some reason, Sam didn’t grab me and pull me in like Avery and Sydney did in the first books. I had no doubt of Sam’s love for Otis but she always seemed distant or out of reach. I just couldn’t feel her.
The author continues to write erotic scenes so hot they can scorch you. The public sex was put out there in a unique way and was at times humorous as well as outrageous. But I kind of expected that from Mr. Hildreth.
This book covered a lot of things for me, true love, redemption, loss, grief and following your heart even when it seems to be the hardest course to follow. I like the unique way this author writes his characters and the twists he throws in to keep me thinking WTH? I look forward to the next book in the series. And yes, I want to read crazy Biscuit’s story. I think there’s a man worth having under all of those outrageous stories he tells.

Hope is a scary thing. When we hope, we hurt, espcially if that hope never comes to fruition. Sometimes hope turns into a second chance. Sometimes, life just works out the way it's supposed to...
Otis was a tough story for me to read. This book, the third instalment of The Selected Sinners MC Series by SD Hildreth didn't sit well with me. This is why I give it SIX +++ stars.
First, I'm going on record stating this is the first time I've hidden a review due to spoilers. I don't do it because I don't review with them, but I feel it imperative to state my opinion here, as I laugh. I DID NOT like, maybe even hated the death by aluminum foil. I just kept shaking my head. It was all I could do, because in my humble opinion… WHY? I know it could happen I also know that's the author that this man is. He delighted in the fact that he made me and others cringe. Hence my laughter. That was my spoiler ^^ . Sorry… I shrug.
The rest of this story is a beautifully woven tapestry of people from different walks of life. Plain and simple. Each of them holding hope in their hearts. Sometimes that hope was evident and blinding, sometimes no one could really see it, but if you look it was there. Many times a character or two made me mad or annoyed the hell out of me. Truth. I disliked one or two of them, maybe even frequently. This was a first for me with this author. Usually I bond with his characters immediatley. I didn't like some of what happened, but never hated the act or the situation. Even if I couldn't see myself there, I couldn't necessarily see myself not there.
Think about that. I mean it. Really think about it.
This is a story about second chances, many times over. How many mistakes have we made as individuals, as a society? There are so many underlying messages here that we can all learn from. I know I did and I have. This book isn't about the sex for me. Was the sex great? Yeah, it was hotter than hell. More importantly for me, it was about the mannerisms of the specific characters that were brought to life as the pages turned and the layers were pulled back. It was about the bonds. The bonds of first loves, the bonds of unrequited love, the bonds of family, and the bonds we place on ourselves.
It was about being nonjudgmental, it was about family, and brotherhood. It was just about… more.
This is a story about not taking life for granted. It's a story about accepting who you are, and just... being.
Let that resonate.
(I'm attempting to keep this concise as I know I tend to get a bit loquacious. It happens).
I didn't like where this book took me. It made me uncomfortable on many levels. I didn't like it because it made me think. Waayyy outside my box.
It may have even made me hurt. Yet, that's why I LOVED it.
Kudos Mr. Hildreth.

I have to just start by saying: I have thought about this review since I finished this book more than 30 hours ago.
I didn't know at first if I loved this book or hated it. Now, I know that Hate is a very heavy word and I don't even like the fact that I am using it. But Sam brought this out in me. I thought I hated her, turns out I just didn't like her decisions or her way of looking at things, the way she goes about something's in her life. As others have stated in their reviews, she is a very selfish person. I struggled with this...I am a giver, always have been. I put people and their feelings before my own, I always have. My mother tells me this is my biggest fault. So when I am introduced to a character like Sam, it brings feeling out in me that make me not like myself. I don't want to give any spoilers away, so I will just leave it at this: Sam pissed me off. It's ok that I don't agree with her choices or the way she went about something's. I believed she should have been more open with Otis. I believe she should have been nicer to Taylor. I believe she should have had more respect for her husbands memory.
Ok, moving on. I can't let her consume any more of my energy.
I loved Otis! And yes people there are tons of couples in this world that have sex outside in public places!
The way Otis was so loyal and free, the way he loved his parents and his Brothers...just made me fall in love with him(well this and the fact that he is in a MC and rides a Harley.) I understood why he and Sam broke up. I respected that. It was hard for me to believe that they would basically just fall right back to where they left off after only a few hours, but hey, I guess it happens.
I have a ton of love for this author's writing. He never fails to make me feel. Usually my feeling are a bit more sentimental, but this book was different. But then again, he did warn us that it would be.
I am in love with the fact that Otis has a Camaro! I love my Camaro, if I didn't have her to race, I think I would go crazy some days! I loved that Otis referenced some music in this book, that is another love for me! So to sum it all up: loved Otis, loved the music, loved loved loved the Camaro, Sam....not so much!

Otis is the VP of the Selective Sinners MC, and he is probably my favorite of the bunch so far. He's actually carried a torch for his first love from fifteen years ago. No other can compare to Sam--he won't let anyone else into his heart.
When Sam and Otis (aka Steve) broke up when they were 21, it was because she wanted to start a family and Otis was against it. So she left town and moved far away, married a man who she didn't love, and lost that man during the 9/11 terror attacks. There has been no one in Sam's heart since Otis either. Now she's back in town due to the tragic (really? from aluminum foil?) death of her mother, and she hopes and prays she doesn't run into her former love. She couldn't bare to see him with a wife and family...
So of course they run into each other in a bar...and it's like not a day has passed. They quickly find out that neither has really moved on, that both were in limbo, just existing. So they pick up where they left off. What was it that they had in common anyway, you ask? Oh yes...SEX. Not just sex, but PUBLIC SEX.. Nothing turns these two on like a little exhibitionism! The hotel swimming pool, the movie theater, and oh yes, the botanical gardens...yikes. Just how did these two never get caught, or have a complaint lodged against them, or been arrested ...lol. yep, most of this book was about Otis and Sam and their sexual escapades. Of course, Sam had a thought or two about Otis's new life in the Selective Sinners, and what it would mean for them as a couple, but seemed okay with the path their renewed relationship was taking. But then, a curveball...and OMG I wanted to slap Samantha silly when I found out what she was considering...
I have to say I lost total respect for the character of Samantha at that point. I just didn't understand her. Did she have such low self esteem or more importantly, did she even know the man she claimed to love? Couldn't she see that he wasn't the boy she left behind 15 years ago and was now a man? Why didn't she trust him enough to TALK to him? Ugh.
So Sam and her crazy decisions almost ruined what was a pretty good read for me. I hope there is one female lead in this series that I can admire besides Avery...

Ok so let me just say first off that I am writing this review like the second that I was done with it which is unlike me since I like to think over my reviews before I just start typing away. I was waiting for Otis' book the second that Axton's was done and although I did like Toad and Syd. I knew Otis was going to be the perfect biker! He is everything you dream of in a biker (those of that fantasize about them). He is controlling yet loving to those he cares about, loyal, strong, tattooed, stands by his convictions regardless of the results, and man oh man the sex. So beyond the ATF drama etc. I think we got to see the real Otis which I thought was wonderful. The whole story a depth to it that made you sad to see the end even if it was a HEA. For my second observation with this book. I am beginning to think we see a little more of "Scott" in this book so I think we might be getting more than we originally paid for. I thought in the beginning that was true with Erik and Karter that maybe there were just a lot of "Scott thoughts" that came out through them. This time with Otis I think I am on to something (based that I am a facebook stalker). So this makes me think that maybe we need to afraid for his beautiful other half or jealous as hell. Just a thought. So all in all you get to read about an awesome guy, debate some current events with imaginary people, read about HOT SEX in public places and learn to love Biscuit a little more and now hope his book is next. Not bad for less than $5. You have no excuses not to let go of your cash to experience this ride and if you don't enjoy it...well there wasn't much hope for you after all.

In all honesty these MC books are a breath of fresh air. They have all the angst and drama that I look for in a damn good read and then some. There's just much more to these stories. I have no idea how Scott thinks up these fabulous stories with these gutsy characters.... but I am thankful he does!!!
Seriously, this book is definitely one of THE best MC series out there. Please try and see.
I desperately hope there will be more in the series!!!.

Well I am not really a fan of MC books but Mr. Hildreth changed my mind long ago with this Series. Otis was full of surprises if you have read other Hildreth books you will know what I mean by surprises. Otis had me laughing, crying and loving the antics of these characters. I don't want to give spoilers but I was truly humbled to be included in the Epilogue heehee. I can't wait to read what is next in this series (there BETTER be more!) Otis is definitely a must read book. It can be read as a stand alone but like I said there are surprises so it's good to read ALL Mr. Hildreth's books so you know all the characters.
Scott is truly a gifted writer, he has his own writing style and I am anxiously waiting for more five star reads in the future! :-)

Another great addition to the Selected Sinners series. The lack of BS and unnecessary fluff keeps me coming back for more and wanting to check up on the guys. Oh and the sex was ramped up and hott in this installment. The ending seemed a bit rushed especially with Sam's behavior, which was a bit over the top, and the nonevent it turned out to be in Otis' response.

I have to say I was looking forward to reading this book, I love the reunited love stories but this book was horrible. the female was one of the worst ever. I hated how she treated the cat and how she acted when she found out she was pregnant. I don't think I will be reading any more books by this author.

I’ve been a fan of the Selected Sinner MC Series (Making the Cut, Taking The Heat) and still can’t believe that a guy wrote a biker romance that I actually liked. Scott sent me a copy of Hung to read and I realized I never read Otis. This surprised me since I really enjoyed the first two in the series so of course I loaded it up on my Ipad and dove in. It’s available through Kindle Unlimited right now, so that made it even better.
I was a fan of Otis after the first two books. He’s got a laid back kind of vibe going on that I like, but he can also be funny. He’s another Sinner that loves his Mama, which makes him even better in my book. His parents had me in stitches with their antics. His Dad’s chosen dinner time conversations were freaking hilarious. His Ma’s reactions to some of the subjects even more so – especially the convo about the cock-eyed girl getting some in a stock room. No wonder Otis was so laid back but with a sense of humor, he had to be with those two for parents.
Sam I just couldn’t connect with. Part of it, was her attitude towards her late husband. Whether she loved him or was just settling, he was her husband who died in a horrible manner and she really didn’t seem to give a shit. He didn’t abuse her, they just weren’t clicking. If it was that bad she should have left. Her lack of loyalty really bugged me. Add in her crazy theatrics toward the end, plus the decision she made on how to handle a situation she found herself in, I lost what little remaining respect for her I had.
Scott Hildreth’s take on the Texas Twin Peak’s biker massacre was interesting and not unlike some I’ve heard from actual bikers. I do like it when an author weaves real life headlines into stories on occasion and I’m glad he went there. The repercussions of that shootout, no matter who actually fired most of the bullets, will be long reaching in the biker community so it was good to see it acknowledged in a biker romance.
Overall, although I liked the book, because of Sam, I didn’t enjoy it quite as much as the first two. The public sex was steamy, I loved all the characters except for Sam, and the cover was a huge improvement over the first two. It was also good to see how the couples were doing from the first two books plus the entrapment trial of Sydney’s Brother, Jack, was interesting. I’m hoping Jack will get a book eventually. I plan on reading Hung next, which is Biscuit’s book. Biscuit’s a favorite of mine, so I can’t wait to dive into it.

This was another hit in a great series by an author that I enjoy and love reading.
Otis walked out on the love of his life fifteen years ago when Sam wanted to start a family and he didn’t. He’s never forgotten her or tried to move on with another woman. When Sam’s mother passes away, Otis runs into her in town. It’s as if time has stood still and nothing has changed between them. For the first time in years, Otis feels complete.
Sam has loved Otis since she was a teenager. When he turned his back on wanting a family, she ran. Desperately trying to move on with her life, she married a man she didn’t love. When tragedy struck and he was killed, she didn’t care to try again. Now she’s back home and things with Otis are as good as ever. But she worries about his safety in MC club and knows that living without him again isn’t option. She’ll have to decide what she’s willing to sacrifice to have Otis in her life.
The chemistry between Otis and Sam is smokin. Even though it’s been years, they fit perfectly and pick up as if they’ve been together all along. And lets just say these two enjoy being watched in public locations. In addition to this book being pretty hot, it’s also hilarious. Biscuit is so flippin funny. The things that come out of his mouth are so off the wall, you never know what to expect! This book is worth reading for the story of the “Toilet Burritos” alone. So funny!!
It was nice seeing all the characters from the first two book again and I CANNOT WAIT until we get Biscuit’s story. If Scott ever needs an idea for another book, I think he could do a collection of hilarious stories. I’d be one of the first to purchase it for sure!

All I am going to say is WOW! I loved OTIS and this book is by far the best book in the Sinners Series. I can say that Scott Hildreth never fails to amaze me on how truly talented an author he is and that's why I'll always read his books.
This is the story of OTIS, aka Steve and Sam, who was a couple when they were younger and recently came into contact again. Sam has come back into town due to her mother’s death. The story between Otis and Sam flowed smoothly and I enjoyed everything about the connection they have together. The sex scenes where HOT and I had to put my kindle down several times. My favorite was the Botanical Garden Center, that was fantastic, but I'm sure Alan enjoyed it as well. Of course you've got drama that leads to an ATF agent among the crew, which will always cause unnecessary situations. In this book you'll get a story line that flows perfectly and some fun banter along with it. I loved Biscuit’s character and everything that came out of his mouth, as well as his parents. They were the so funny, I laughed every time they showed up in the story line. It was nice to also see the crew within the story.
Overall this was truly a fantastic read and I can't wait for what Author Scott Hildreth has coming for us. Don't think about it, just go one-click this book today and I promise you'll love it as much as I did. This is a must read and I'm giving OTIS 5 stars

I have been waiting for this book since I read the first Selected Sinner MC Book. He got my interest right away and then when the second book came out and it wasn’t about Otis I was disappointed that Scott made me wait to read this book. Well now that the wait is over….I am so glad that he made me wait! Let me tell you this is one HOT as HELL book!!!
Meet Otis, a guy who keeps to himself and someone you don’t see with different women every night. He is you ultimate ALPHA! This man have an aura about him that strikes fear into the people who don’t know him but those that are close to him love him. He is fiercely protective of those he loves including all his brothers in the MC.
Otis had one true love in his life and he let her walk away 15 years ago, yes that is right, 15 years ago. Since he let her walk away he has stayed away from women because he knew that no one could come close to Samantha. Sam had her reasons for leaving and Otis let her, now they meet up again 15 years later and that old flame is rekindled again. I never pictured Otis to be so sexually adventurous but he sure is. Wait until you read what these two get into, wow, just wow!
I have read each book in this series and have loved them all. Hildreth’s writing is superb! He has a knack of getting you right in the story so you feel as though you are a part of the Sinner family.

I loved Otis. His first and only love returns to town and they immediately get back together. The sex is hot, Biscuit's stories are hilarious and the characters are amazing. I loved this book, it's definitely a favourite.

i am so disappointment in this it's not even funny.
what the fuck was the point of this other than two old loves get back together after 15 years apart like nothing happened? like why wasn't there anything about them getting over the past and at least show some fucking angst at least! or a fight!
oh and how the fuck did they find that ATF agent? where was the fucking plot for that?!
the only three things i liked:
- one of the guys screwed a girl and pokes her eye and ends up with her contact on his dick.
- sam not liking her mom's cat; "Goodnight Taylor. I'm going to the hotel. I'll see your nasty little ass tomorrow."
*dies*
- otis' dad complaining about a crossed eyed girl; "What's rrude is to see her body, and then have her turn around and look at you. That's rude."

Whether it be politics, religion, or social issues, I DO NOT want to be preached to by an author and made to feel like I'm trying to be spun on a real life incident - vs - a fictional book issue.
Before I'm even 10% into the book, the author describes a quarterly coalition meeting at a Texas Twin Peaks restaurant where two MCs got into it because one MC disrespected the other... The result was innocent civilian lives lost, hundreds of MC members arrested, cops and media say MC to blame for deaths, & MC says cops to blame.
It's distasteful to me because this is a tragic real life event, but if the author would've just moved on, I could've chalked it up to a blip in personal tastes and never even mentioned it in my review.
But, no, the author harps on it & goes on to continuously harp on how horrible cops are, & it's done in a preaching manner meant to be a clear social message in favor of MCs.
All the above takes the enjoyment out of FICTION. Don't use this kind of stuff to convert me on some social issue or preach to me your personal views!
Westboro Baptist Church is also mentioned briefly. While I personally hate the f'rs, bringing the name up wasn't pivotal to the story. It just feels like another PC, hot button social subject the author included just for the sake of including.

Confusion
The prologue is interesting. An undercover apparently has Stockholm'esc syndrome from being undercover too long. Great! Let's see where it goes. Then, the undercover isn't even mentioned again until 60%. It's odd for it to be the prologue and then just disappear for that long.
Chapter one starts with the author immediately throwing the reader into a room of bikers. Names are being thrown out in dialogue and random people are just speaking. I'm lost. I don't know who these people are and the "I", "he", "she" and "they" are lost on me.
It's hard, sometimes impossible, to even decipher wtf is speaking and whom they're speaking about? By the time chapter one is over, I'm not even sure who Otis is and can't remember his MC role without going back and rereading. It's info overload, but with sparse actual meaningful details.
Maybe ^ this is the case because this is a series? But, the blurb clearly states this can be read as a standalone without any confusion. So, I dont know?!!

Chapter two starts and we've completely switched gears again to Otis thinking about his past and current love life.
I'm immediately noticing the that the flow and subject jumps are jarring.
Just Not My Cup Of Tea
The technicalities of the writing are actually above par, especially for this genera. There aren't a lot of errors, and the caliber of writing is above average for style and sentence structure for this genera.
That said, there is just a shit load of plot devices, themes, characters, and overall scheme of things that aren't to my taste.
The transsexual slamming and dialogue was unnecessary.
I found the blow job story & the ass plug- hemorrhoid story just nasty and crude for the sake of crude vs funny.
The death by aluminum foil I didn't get AT ALL.
All the legal jargon and battle of wits between the lawyers seemed intrusive to the story I wanted to read.... That is the MC erotic romance this was blurbed to be?!?
The writing feels aggressive. I know "aggressive" sounds like a crazy description, but I just feel like the author is shouting a lot of the narrative and dialogue at me.
I'm not connecting with the characters. The characters do not feel authentic and there isn't anything distinguishing between any of the voices; they all sound the same.
How many bikers do you know that use terms like analogy, humbling, skittish, mingling, semantics, etc.. Their speech patterns, that is not what they say but rather the words they chose to say it, sound more like yuppie weekend road warriors vs a 1%ers MC.
There's too much random and unnecessary musing. Otis, for example, is driving along and randomly starts describing some farmer on a tractor for three paragraphs before he associates the farmer with having a woman waiting at home for him and thereby Otis having thoughts of a woman in his own life. It's not exactly fluff, but it isn't necessary either and it slows the pace to a crawl.
The female lead, Sam, doesn't make an appearance until 34%. Wth?
Once she does make an appearance, I instantly dislike her and want to bitch slap her!
She kicks an mf'ing cat. I'm not a cat person, but I wouldn't f'ing kick my recently deceased mom's cat just for being lonely and rubbing against my leg. F'it! Not bad enough? Well, a couple minutes later she tells Otis how she was relieved when her dead husband of only a year was killed in 9-11 attacks because that meant that she could move on with the memories of Otis without any guilt. F'it! What a self-absorbed bitch!
Was I the only one that found it a huge leap to make that Sam would be celibate for 15 YEARS but immediately be so in tune with her sexuality that she immediately initiates exhibition sex and talks like a mf'ing porn star?
Ehhh, just ain't buying nor liking it none of it.
It's a DNF for me - personal taste.
