Rate this book
Experience autumn’s cool breeze on your face, listen to the crisp leaves crunching underfoot, and enjoy each tree’s dazzling array of brilliant colors. Immerse yourself in God’s unique and diverse creation, and apply these lessons from autumn to your daily life. As you read this collection of 31 devotions, you’ll be reminded of cool autumn days spent in nature; those times you slip away from your daily responsibilities to escape to the garden or for a walk in the woods, when God seems so close. These devotions utilize the many aspects of life during autumn to illustrate a Biblical point or lesson. Each one is accompanied by a relevant Bible verse, and concludes with a short prayer. Each devotion is short enough to read in a few minutes. Their themes and suggestions will help you keep your thoughts centered on Christ throughout the day, and enable you to draw strength, joy and peace from scripture and from our awesome Creator.

eh. i really wanted to like this. i like fall and i like to be inspired and uplifted. the author is a relatable person and good writer- her stories are fun and personable. but. her Spiritual concepts and tie-ins had me doing *rolls eyes* here we go. i consider myself a spiritual person but this would consistently go way off the tracks into Super Devout Christianity Land. wasn't my cup of tea. also. i believe that God, great spirit, whatever one wants to call him/her/it loves EVERYONE and she consistenly says "loves those who worship his glory" and i don't think there's a prerequisite to receive love.

-Disclaimer: I won this book for free through goodreads giveaways in exchange for an honest review.-

Not for me.

I knew this was a religious book but in my opinion
the author over-did it. She would take a random thought
and would manage to turn it religious somehow. If you
think hard enough anything can be religious, personally
I can't stand when people do that and that's is all this
book was. It almost made me want to throw up.

Another major thing I disliked about the book was that
the author used the NIV & NLT version of The Holy Bible,
which I don't agree on using that version due to a great
loss of meaning compared to the King's James Version.
I believe the King's James Version to be the closest to the
original. Overall I just couldn't get on the same page as
the author on her thoughts and ideas so I decided to just
pass the book on.
