This was a textbook for a graduate level course on the history of women in music. I learned a great deal from this book and I will likely never look at the musical works by women composers, performers, engineers, etc. the same way.

The first few chapters had superior writing compared to the final dozen chapters in which the nonsense word “impact” began to appear in every other paragraph.
