In an attempt to be accepted as Vinctalin, Zondex has sent a message deep into space, offering for trade the very items that could maintain world security. While Pakow leads his fleet in defence of Earth, Stanzi must take charge of the battle against Zondex's remaining super-Guards who are trying to take over the world independently of their creator. Meanwhile the inhabitants of Earth's one functioning town have scattered in evacuation unaware of the danger of one small ship that slips though Pakow's defences in search of a piece of technology with a value the custodians can hardly guess at.
Vanda M Denton is the author of complex, thought-provoking novels spanning genres from scifi and fantasy, through speculative to literary fiction. She was born to a Polish WW2 hero. Awareness of the invasion and occupation of her father’s homeland engendered interests in human survival and fairness. This desire to see justice done is reflected in all her work. Vanda draws on knowledge gained through two degrees covering education, psychology, social sciences, philosophy and arts. This formal education fires her ongoing interests in psycho-social themes as well as modern biological and scientific developments. She often recounts a phrase expressed by her sister long before attending university: You think too much. That is a state of mind she thoroughly enjoys sharing with her readers.
I wrote this as part of a 15book series years ago. It was my first project, yet I am thoroughly enjoying them all over again. In this one I particularly enjoyed the plots within plots. Within the long series there are five sets of three, each with their own themes and storyline. Also each book can be a read-alone. I loved writing it so much that I wrote an associated novel The Vinctalin Legacy: Legacy, which has a particular fascination for fans who read the series and again, is a stand-alone story. I remember most of it but only as I go along. I'd love to hear from other authors enjoying their old work.
