Prepare to be swept away as two couples embark on an odyssey of secret longings and scorching desires...
City of Sin by Nana Malone
A weekend at Las Vegas's over-the-top Decadence Hotel is strictly business for marketing analyst Synthia Michaels. Until her rival for a major account--gorgeous, blue-eyed Tristan Dawson--shows her just how irresistible a bad boy can be. But unless the reformed playboy can inspire her trust as well as her passion, what happens in Sin City will stay there.
Shipwrecked by Sienna Mynx
Professor Deja Jones still fantasizes about the mind-blowing kiss she shared with Jon Hendrix at their siblings' wedding. Now an anniversary celebration on his family's private island brings her face-to-face once again with the enticingly sexy sports agent. When a storm strands them together, will their explosive attraction ignite into something stronger and deeper?
Wall Street Journal & USA Today Bestselling author, Nana Malone writes Sexy Feel-Good Romance and loves of all things romance and adventure.
That love started with a tattered romantic suspense she "borrowed" from her cousin. It was a sultry summer afternoon in Ghana, and Nana was a precocious thirteen. She's been in love with kick butt heroines ever since. With her overactive imagination, and channeling her inner Buffy, it was only a matter a time before she started creating her own characters.
This is Syn and Tristan's story, “City of Sin" by Nana Malone.
Syn and Tristan are attracted to each other but have allowed their competitiveness to get in the way. Whilst on a business trip in Vegas they let down the walls and get to know each other.
I found the story to be a fun, sassy and sexy read. I enjoyed this story and would recommend it as a good read to others.
So it's been a while. Who knew that I would miss reading so much? Thank you for this book that was NOT first person lol It was a cute short story about new ways you could best your competition and how that could back fire. We meet Syn and Tristian. They can't really stand each other, well one of them can't stand the other. The other has been trying to figure out how to make a move but can't get through the wall. That was until they were paired together for a work assignment.
This is a short story, there is no end to where you see the two get married with babies at the end. Even so, the story was very well paced. I wasn't overly annoyed with either of the characters but I kind of want to know if there is a book about their siblings? There was a moment in the book where you think that maybe their stories are written somewhere else. I have to read more of Ms. Malone's work.
CoS was okay. Nothing really wowed me or kept me reading. I honestly kept picking up and putting it down, but I got through it.
I only made it a couple of pages into Shipwrecked and knew that it would fall into the predictable category, plus I wasn't feeling anything, and I hadn't really felt anything with CoS either. I was literally just reading words on a page.
Syn and Tristan are rivals at work, she hates him he hates her but they secretly have the 🔥 for each other. They just haven't acknowledged it yet until a client they both are after sends them to Vegas together to scope out a rivals hotel. The story is sexy and fun to read. The characters are well written. The heroine is smart, sexy and uptight. The hero is smart sexy and loves the fun of life. Worth the read.Author did a good job.
Two quick, sweet stories: City of Sin by Nana Malone, and Shipwrecked by Sienna Mynx. Both stories have “power couples” as their main characters. Enjoyed watching them navigate both their powers and their insecurities to finally be together.
This review is based on City of Sin only. I was given a copy of City of Sin for review so it is the only one considered for this rating.
Nana did a great job with her portion of this set. Loved Syn and Tristan.
Syn is a strong, independent woman, who works hard and plays none. Helping to put her baby sister through college has left her financially unable to play hard too. Thanks to a huge project at her firm, things are finally starting to look up for her....that is until Tristan is thrown in her lap. She is forced to work with over the weekend in of all places...Las Vegas.
Tristan can no believe that he is forced to work with the Ice Queen herself in Las Vegas. His plans are to play hard while working in Vegas and ignoring Syn, no mater how much she turns him on. But oh how he wants to melt the ice queen.
Sparks fly from the moment they land and finally a truce is met. What they don't realize, 3 days just isn't enough.
This story was well written (a little short but still packed a punch), awesome characters, entertaining dialogue and great descriptions to details.

This review is for City of Sin. Both Syn and Tristan are strong, fierce, determined, career-driven individuals who do not like to lose, and for very different reasons. Syn, because she is footing the bill for her sister’s college education. Tristan, to prove to his father he can do this on his own and doesn’t need or want the family business. Their approach and style to landing a client is as different as night and day. Where Syn is all business and numbers, Tristan is more relaxed, flirty, and fun, which can lead to some very heated stares and arguments. From the outside it appears they hate each other, but what they secretly hide from everyone, and especially each other, is that they are both extremely attracted in each other. Now that they are both competing for a major contract, they are forced to spend the weekend together in Vegas! What could possibly go wrong…or go so very, very right?? Does what happens in Vegas truly stay in Vegas? More importantly…do they want it to? Another great book from Nana Malone! I loved the characters, their wit, their banter, the heat and passion. The way they were when it was just the two of them was heart-warming and pure, as well as romantic and oh…so…hot!
This review is for City of Sin. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
The sexual tension between Syn and Tristan is completely off the charts. I love that Syn is a go getter, she isn't ashamed to admit that she wants to be the best. Such a competitive nature isn't really typical of a romance heroine but Malone still creates a character that is vulnerable and likeable despite her desire to win. Tristan is the perfect complement to her. He is fighting his own demons and he does not want to be attracted to this woman who challenges him at every turn. I laughed at every one of their "heated" arguments...he was really like the little boy on the playground who is going to go pull the little girl's braid because he likes her. Knowing what was going on in his head made it much easier to deal with his arrogance when it came to women.
Then the intensity of the weekend in Vegas...stripping both of them of their misconceptions about each other. Getting to know what the other was really like. I think the whole "what happens in Vegas" atmosphere really helped keep the book from becoming unbelievable.
All in all, I truly enjoyed reading Synthia and Tristan's story.
This review is for City of Sin. City of Sin was a quick read that was full of fun, romance, and some drama. I loved the play on words...City of Sin, and Syn's name. It's a small element but it added a little fun to the mix. I loved the Vegas attitude, what happens in Vegas....only Tristan and Syn can't seem to leave it there. There was some great tension between the two of them and you could feel the chemistry between them.
I enjoyed the focus on most of the story being solely on Tristan and Syn. Sure we meet a few other characters, but the story line is for them. Even at the end of the book where we meet Xia and Taylor, and Tristan's parent they play such a small part and allow the story to focus on the relationship between Tristan and Syn.
I loved how strong and sassy Syn was and yet how vulnerable she was at the same time. I loved how tender Tristan was with her. It was the little things about their relationship that made the reader fall in love with them.
I honestly wasn't sure how I was going to feel about Syn when I first started the book. She initially seemed to be unnecessarily harsh. It felt like there had to be more to her feelings than just her preconceived idea of Tristan's personality. She grew on me once she and Tristan started with their back and forth. I got a better sense of where she was coming from.
Both Tristan and Syn had to overcome the misconceptions they held about each other. Once they did, what an inferno! I was glad that this book wasn't full of angst, and prolonged back and forth wishy washiness, if that is even a real phrase. Tristan and Syn were smart, sarcastic, sexy, and fun. The story pulls you in from the beginning and is a pretty quick read. I definitely enjoyed reading about their relationship evolving as they acknowledged their feelings.
I received a copy of this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
City of Sin was the city where Synthia Michaels was determined to educate her nemesis Tristen Dawson, that she was the only person going to land the prestigious Bliss account. Instead she was the one who got an education about never judging a book by its cover and that what happens in Vegas sometimes dissent stay in Vegas!
Why fight when the attraction is so strong. For two years Deja Jones has been fantasizing about an encounter with her baby sisters brother-in-law Jon Hendrick. So when her sisters wedding anniversary weekend brings her face to face with him again; what harm could there be in a little moonlight cruise. I really enjoyed these two short stories by Nana Malone & Sienna Mynx
Syn and Tristan's story, “City of Sin” is a very refreshing and smooth read. My imagination ran wild trying to figure out what this story would entail based on the title. I was not disappointed. I love how in every Nana Malone book, character chemistry is always on point. I hope to hear more from Syn and Tristan in the future and would love to experience adventure with some of the other characters within “City of Sin”. If you love romance and are looking for something easy flowing to read, look no further than Nana Malone’s “City of Sin”.
This is a great book by Nana Malone. Synthia Michaels is a marketing analyst and is spending a weekend at Las Vegas’s over the top Decadence Hotel for business. When Tristan Dawson, her Rival for a major account shows up he shows her how irresistible he can be. If you are looking for a great romance, then you need to read this book. I am looking forward to reading the next book by this author. A Review copy was provided to me in exchange for a fair and honest review. The free book held no determination on my personal review.
City of Sin was about two co-workers who are constantly competing with each other. They're so busy trying to outdo each other that they haven't realized that they could be a great team.
Shipwrecked is Deja and Jon's story. They meet at their siblings wedding where there is an intense attraction. Two years later they see each other at an anniversary celebration where neither of them have forgotten that first kiss.
This was a great short read. The sparks between Synthia and Tristan were flying, even when they were butting heads. I loved seeing their relationship grow, and seeing Synthia go from a guarded heroine to one who could love. Tristan was a fun, go with the flow, be his own man kinda hero, and he brought so many laughs to the book. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a fantastic, sexy quick read
Syn & Tristan are hot! I got my whole entire life reading City of Sin. I’ve said it before, but Nana Malone has done it again. Harlequin I need you to give the authors more pages! I need more Syn & Tristan in my life. City of Sin has it all…. you will laugh, argue, laugh some more & be jealous that there is no eye candy in your office to flirt with. Oh that’s just me? Read the tonight bundle. You will not be disappointed!
Received ARC, City of Sin by Nana Malone, for Honest Review Rival co-workers forced to team up and work on a project together away from the office in a luxury hotel. What could be a disastrous situation turns into two people forced to face their feeling for each other and the sexy begins! Short sweet straight to the point romance with HEA and Iloved every minute of it!
The first story with Syn and Tristan was so cute and hot. But the second story with Deja and Jon was good too, but with two people with issues and how they chose to deal with them. Great book. Both stories were sizzling, that part I really loved!
I enjoy both of these authors and these two quick reading romances are wonderful. The second one by Ms. Mynx was especially great with the statistics and I really enjoyed that the main characters were " mature" ADULTS!!
