Chasing Hayleigh

Hayleigh
I know nothing of love.
Then again, I don’t know much about people
I’ve been burned enough to have lost my faith in them
Brannon seems to be an exception
For years, he has proved that I could trust him
But my past would surely drive him away
The question is, can he trust me?

Brannon
Hayleigh is not my fate
But, she is my destiny
I need to convince her to trust me, to believe in us
For years I’ve stood back, and given her time
Now I need her to light the dark that is slowly consuming me
I want to tell her all of my secrets
The question is, will she survive them?

I’m a lover of all things books, a hopeless romantic, and have always had a passion for writing. Between being a sappy romantic, my love of an HEA, my crazy imagination, and ok, let’s be real, my dirty mind, I fell easily into writing romance.
I’m a huge baseball fan and yet, a complete girly, girl. I’m an obsessive reader and have a slight (hahaha! Slight? Yeah, right) addiction to signed books.
I’m married to my very own book boyfriend, an alpha male with a sexy, sweet side. He is the best inspiration, my biggest supporter and the love of my life. He is also incredibly patient and understanding about the fact that he has to fight the voices in my head for my attention.
I hope you enjoy reading my books as much as I enjoyed writing them!

Chasing Hayleigh is exactly what you've come to expect with Christensen's writing. It's extremely sassy and sexy. It's filled with one liners one on top of another.

I really enjoyed seeing Brannon's love for Hayleigh in action. We've seen the longing in the past two books, but we finally see everyone's good time guy getting what he really wants, Hayleigh.

I was so happy to watch Hayleigh's growth as a character. From a girl who doesn't understand love or see herself as desirable, she really comes into her own. She finds her inner goddess and finally takes hold of her life to live without fear.

The main struggle I found was that I noticed myself skimming through pieces and even overwhelmed with the sass at times.

The ending is what made the entire book for me. The section from Kendrick's POV blew my mind. I am so curious! I was incredibly blown away by

However, with things in the crew getting more and more intense and filled with mystery, I want to know more. Sign me up for Book 4!

It's simple. I just cannot get enough of this world that Elle Christensen has created. The Fae and their affinity for light, their inability to lie without falling, and their close-knit community is an easy world to lose yourself in. I love how a destiny can be glimpsed, yet still be so murky and malleable that nothing can be certain. Chasing Hayleigh also really explores how there can be dishonesty and secrets even when there are no lies, and how much it can not only hurt those around you but yourself as well.

Hayleigh is struggling to overcome a difficult past, and still insists on hiding from it instead of trusting her friends. Brannon is dealing with the aftermath of the Fallen in a continued plotline from the earlier books. His struggle, and the painful tasks he is forced to undertake, are dangerous and mentally exhausting. Reading about their struggle to trust each other made my heart ache for them.

As I have come to expect from Elle's writing, their chemistry is NOT the problem. Together they are so sensually charged, and in the bedroom they are HOT. The sparks fairly leap of the page, and even in the story, it is obvious that nobody in their circle is surprised by their relationship. It is the emotional side that they struggle with, and as if that's not enough to deal with, they're both having to face down outside demons that threaten to bring them into darkness.

The conclusion of their tale was everything I needed, and the glimpses into the lives of the couples of the previous installments was marvelous. What is going to kill me is waiting for the next installment after that preview of what's to come. I'll be on the edge of my seat, anxiously waiting to read more! ~ George, 5 stars

I have been impatiently waiting to get my greedy hands on Hayleigh and Brannon's story. I had a complete fan girl moment the second I realized Chasing Hayleigh was on my kindle and quickly got rid of all responsibilities. That baby was going to be read, and no one was going to stop me!

After finishing the book I came to two conclusions. The first one being that all the hype I created was absolutely and utterly justified. The second, that I needed to find the caveman sign-up list and fill it completely with my name. Seriously, where can I find a caveman as sexy as Brannon? He has rocketed to the top of my fictional book boyfriend list. Hayleigh blossomed from her awesome bad-ass self into a beautiful compassionate bad-ass. Together, they became a power team that was unstoppable.

Chasing Hayleigh was full of love, humor, angst and so, so, so much caveman sexiness. Get your batteries ready ladies, this book will make you need them! ~ Kelly, 4 stars

I FLOVE this series so hard! Elle Christensen knows how to pull you into a story and not let you back out. I am in a severe book hangover! Hayleigh and Brannon are great characters. Brannon is a fun-loving, outgoing guy. He has his serious moments too, but overall he is just a fun guy. Hayleigh is a loner. She has been ostracized before so she pretty much keeps to herself. She has become friends with the group, but still keeps most things to herself. Brannon has been biding his time waiting for Hayleigh, while she has been trying desperately to fight the attraction. When they do come together, fireworks go off! These two were made for each other. They have some issues to fight through, but come out on the other side stronger. I am thrilled with the way their story was written and shocked at some of the twists and turns. I really didn’t see those coming. The story definitely kept me on the edge of my seat waiting to see what would happen. I am *not so* patiently waiting for the next one! Nothing but love for Elle and The Fae Guard Series!

The first two books in this series give you little glimpses into Hayleigh and Brannon's story giving you just enough to to be intrigued and want more from these character. I went into this book with high expectations and everyone of them were met!

The cover was beautiful and I would have read this book based off it alone. The storyline was nothing short of intense with Elle's own unique sense of humor and love or unicorns mixed in. It pulled out so many emotions and left me more than a little dazed.

Up until now Hayleigh has been an enigma. Her actions were contradictory and you never really knew what she was thinking. After reading this her strength is revealed and I instantly fell in love with her. She is written perfectly and I hope to see more of her in future books.

Brannon has always been the funny guy. Best friend to all and always sporting a smile. Delving into who is really is and what all that humor was masking was eye opening. His strength and determination is awe inspiring. His devotion to those he loves is almost unheard of.

This book is my favorite in this series for so many reasons but, mainly because of the broadening storyline. We broke out of the characters story and got so much more of the bigger picture. My mind is churning while it tries to figure out where this series is headed.

CHASING HAYLEIGH is a story that will grab you by the horns and never let go, or at least ease up once you finish it though it will still be there..

With Hayleigh, she had a rough start, so trust would be a hard thing to come by if she was ever able to have it again.

In comes Brannon, the alpha male that knows who he wants and wont let go until she too, knows that he is here for the long haul. He will take however long it takes to prove to her that he won't hurt her, or do anything less than, well, love her..

BUT. That great ol but always sneaks it's way when it sees "love" and "trust". But, Brannon has his demons too. A dark past and a mind that is anything but rainbows and halos, comes out full force or stronger than ever before when it comes to letting someone in.. That is not to say that Hayleigh too has her past coming back to haunt her..

A story full of secrets, darkness and broken souls but a story that earns itself a somewhat mended heart, smeared tears and the sinful blushes of many. It was a great read, one that I will be reading again and again.. Too bloody good and sexy and suspenseful and soulful to ever even consider passing up.

THANK YOU so much Elle Christensen for providing a beautiful ARC, I cannot tell you how happy I was to find a story like this one. You have officially become an author that I not only admire but will be one-clicking any published work. Thank you for showing that trust can be found even if you have every reason saying that it should stay buried..

Once again, Elle Christensen has woven such an amazing tale of fantasy and romance! This book had me sucked in from the first few pages and I knew it was going to be a ride and a half with how intense the storyline with the Fallen has been getting!
What I love is how strong Christensen writes her female leads. Hayleigh is no disappointment. She has had such a rough start and to continue on like she has, makes you want to be friends with her. Brannon is such a strong alpha Fae that you want him all to yourself. Even with his demons that he is fighting within, he still goes after Hayleigh full speed ahead when she finally allows him in. These two mesh so well together and their banter made the story flow amazingly.
What I love with these books, is that you get to catch up with the past characters as they still play such a strong roll in the storyline. You find out about how they are doing, how they help and how they stand together as a solid group. The storyline between the Fallen and the Fae keeps getting deeper and deeper and I love the world that Christensen has created for this. The descriptive telling of the surroundings, the magic and even the characters appearances is flawless to me. This book flows so well that it is devoured quickly! I am really hoping that Kendrix has his story soon! I am beyond intrigued by him!!!

My heart so so went out to Brannon. He was dealing with so much and struggling with it all. He had to do some unspeakable things but he held strong and we see what type of man and faerie he truly is. I loved him in this book. He is a good guy. Strong, loyal loving and just amazing. His match in every way is Hayleigh. She is equally strong with how she has survived her past and amazing.

for Hayleigh though it is hard to trust and that does wear on Brannon. He doesn’t give up though and it is Hayleigh who saves him from being swallowed by the dark that is around him due to his past as well. In a way they save each other because it is Brannon that helps Hayleigh to learn to forgive, let go and trust again. He helps her move on and she helps him deal with the darkness and pain.

The romance between them is a slow burn. The attraction wowza is it there, just Hayleigh is a very stubborn girl. When they get together, the kindle is set on fire from the steaminess. They are great together. Separate they are great and wonderful but together they are amazing. They are strong and supportive of one another. They help each other deal with pain and sorrow, hurt and anguish and help one another heal. We get both points of view and I admit I love Brannon’s more because he is more raw and real with his thoughts and feelings for me. I connect more to Brannon and his view than I did Hayleigh.

The story was sweet, dark, and draws you in from the beginning. These two have you hooked from line one and don’t let you go. It is of love, trust, forgiveness and healing. Of finding the one who helps your soul heal and light up. a wonderful addition to this series that has you smile and root for them to come together and get a HEA.

Brannon knows Hayleigh is interested in him but he also knows she’s holding back not only from home but her friends. She’s scared and envious and sad and he doesn’t know why. But he knows what he feels even if they aren’t fated, he loves her and isn’t going to give up. Hayleigh has a secret, a past that has ruined so much before so now she stands back and although she loves where she is now and the people around her she’s never let herself become truly part of their group….but maybe it’s time to change that.

“The first time I met Hayleigh—I fell in love. An eternal love that had seeded itself so deep in my heart, I knew no one else(fated or not) would ever erase what I felt for her.”

As with the others in this series I thoroughly enjoyed this story. The Fae are such interesting and magical creatures and this author has created a group of characters that I have fallen in love with. Brannon and Hayleigh are the next couple we follow and both have secrets they are keeping that are slowly fracturing their lives in different ways.

“He doesn’t understand why I’m fighting him so hard. But, the truth is, I’m not cut out for the life my friends have.”

Brannon is a loveable character, the easy going person of the group and the fact he is harbouring such torture in what he has been tasked to do, the fact he can still be so happy for everyone else makes him so attractive. He’s caring, sexy, determined and so strong!

“SOLITUDE IS MY ENEMY. When I’m alone, I’m left with nothing but silence and my own thoughts. Heavy thoughts, weighing me down.”

Hayleigh is a fragile at first with the way she sets herself back and doesn’t become attached, as she’s afraid they will be ripped away from her once her secret is revealed. But she becomes strong and brave as the story progresses and eventually starts to realise she deserves the love that surrounds her.

“Now, I’ve got my own secret, one that hurts my heart and soul, slowly breaking me.”

As with the others, this story interlinked with the others and I love re-visiting the other couples we have met previously. We also carry on trying to discover what Aodhagan was a part of and what part he plays in the wider plan. In this story however, Hayleigh’s past plays an important role and the story of who her family is, and the reason behind why she never lets herself get close, comes as a huge and unexpected surprise!

“Beautiful isn’t strong enough to describe you when you smile, Hayleigh. You light up my world in the worst of circumstances, but when you smile or laugh, my entire universe rights itself and I feel whole.”

As always it’s a sexy, thrilling, intriguing ride that always has a great element of laughter and fun that has me smiling and wanting to read the next. I can’t wait for Kendrix story as we were left on perhaps the biggest cliffhanger yet!

"They say when you meet the one you're fated with, there is a rush of power, a feeling of strength and endurance which disappears the moment you are no longer in their presence. They say you can feel your souls fuse together, a connection that is almost unbreakable."

What a fabulous read! Chasing Hayleigh is by far my favorite book in this series so far. I've been curious about Hayleigh and Brannon for quite some time now, and boy did their story knock my socks off. From the moment I started reading, I was sucked into Hayleigh and Brannon's story. Their connection was instant, curious and undeniable. On the surface, Hayleigh longs for more. She wants to be happy, in love, have a family. But those things have never been in the cards for her. Hayleigh is holding on to a secret. A secret that has always kept her alone and unwilling to take a chance on more...Brannon....there is so much more to him than meets the eye. He always seems to be the funny guy, but really, he has a darkness that lives inside of him, and he can't help but be drawn to the light that is Hayleigh. One thing we learn about Brannon pretty quickly is that he is 110% alpha male. He's got his eyes and heart set and Hayleigh and nothing is going to stop him from getting what he wants."You're mine, only ever mine--no one but me. Baby, you have no idea what that does to me." Brannon is so sure that he and Hayleigh are meant to be and made it his mission to show her just how right they can be together. He forced her to see that there were no real reasons for them to deny what they both wanted.

Chasing Hayleigh gave me everything that I was looking for and more. It was fast paced and well written. The characters were easy to connect with. Their banter was fun and entertaining. I loved getting to see my old friends from the previous stories and seeing how they all come together. Chasing Hayleigh had no shortage of laugh out loud moments, sexy times and of course we can't forget about the action. I definitely feel like I have a better understanding of the series as a whole now and the real role that "fate" plays into everything. I loved all the twists along the way and couldn't have asked for a better ending to Hayleigh and Brannon's story. Not only did the ending leave me with a smile on my face, but then I get to the epilogue......The epilogue pulled the rug out from under me. It has me asking so many questions!! I couldn't believe what I was reading! All I can say is that the stage is set for the next characters story and I for one will be waiting very impatiently to get my hand on the next story.

First of all, let me just tell you how excited I was that there were quotes from The Labyrinth in Chasing Hayleigh! One of my all time favorite movies!! So excited!

Okay. Back on track.

Hayleigh has lived a hard life, pushed aside by everyone that was supposed to love her. But she now has friends, people she might be able to fully trust with her secrets.

Brannon has waited four years for Hayleigh to be ready for a relationship. He's not going to wait any longer, but will his secrets destroy him and any chance he has at happiness?

I enjoyed Elle Christensen's writing style, how easy it was to picture what was happening with the characters and their relationships. Not just their romantic relationships but also the friendship between all of the characters.

Brannon is funny, strong, loving, patient, kind, and a little cavemanish :) Hayleigh is smart, beautiful, strong, a little damaged, and a kick ass fighter. Together they are perfect for each other!

Each time I read one of these books I think "this is my favorite couple of this group", then I fall as deep in love with the next couple. Hayleigh was such a great character, she was this awesome mix of complicated and simple. I adored Brannon, the patience he had for Hayleigh and the strength he had was amazing.

This series has sucked me in. The pain both Brannon and Hayleigh went through, the pain I know is coming for others, and hoping and praying it all ends how it’s supposed to. Fate sucks.

Aden and Ean you know I love you both, right? Buuuut....
HELLOOOOO Brannon.

"You pull this kind of shit again and I'll spank your ass. Then you'll suck me off as an apology. If you behave and do as your told, I'll eat your pussy until your screaming my name. But I'll bring you to the edge again and again, and I won't let you come until you've spilled all your secrets."

*poof* oh that's just the sound of panties everywhere evaporating.
Damn, Brannon!

This is the third book in the Fae Guard series and is Hayleigh and Brannon's story. For four years both have been dealing with their growing feelings for one another but due to a past that is weighing her down Hayleigh builds walls around her but it soon comes a point where neither can hold back and are ready to give in. They might be finally ready but that doesn't mean it's going to be easy. As well as a being newly in a relationship they also have to deal with secrets and fears that are looming around them as well as things happening around them that are completely out of their control.

"Now I've got my own secret, one that hurts my heart and soul, slowly breaking me."

I loved these two together. There was something different to them compared to the couples we've previously met. It wasn't so easy with for them all the time and there was a wall between them that was worrying sometimes but their feelings were so real and so present, it was made clear to the reader and to each other.

"Put those dimples away, Brannon. I've got work to do. Besides you and I both know that it would never stop at kissing."

Elle writes some of the best badass heroines and Hayleigh was no different. Actually she's my favourite so far! Your heart will hurt for her past and what she's left to yearn for and what she has had to go through alone but she will surprise you time and time again. I was expecting certain things of Hayleigh but she surprises me and done the complete opposite. She is so freakin badass and I admired her fierceness so, so much.

"If you don't get things in order soon, don't think I won't go against your wishes for my leath leanbhs. They need me and I'm one of the best damn guards you have. I've been cast over and over. I know how to handle it, how to survive. But I won't abandon my job."

Brannon is sexy as fuck. Is that enough? No? Lol. In the first two books we see Brannon as the carefree guy but in this we see a vulnerable side to him. We see him taking on something that really tests him. We still see a carefree side to him and a seriously hot side to him but a more serious and intense side to him as he deals with his own stuff as well as wondering what is changing with those closest to him.

I love Elle's style of writing, even when things are emotional or tense her personality is on the pages and she pulls you in with the style and her humor. I couldn't put it down once I started, I seriously couldn't - burning my food in the oven in the process lol!! This was a more emotional one for me, you can feel everything from all the characters and your heart will hurt for them when you get glimpses at what may be happening. Elle really sucks you in with the other characters too and leaves you wanting much more!

So ending the review I HAVE to mention Fate. I've loved her from book one she makes me laugh so much every single time and I look forward to getting more and more of her with each book but I think Elle is trying to break my heart with the way it looks Fate's story is... or isn't going. but I have to share my fave Fate-isms and the ones that made me laugh so freakin' hard.

"Survey saaaaaays fuck off."

"For the love of multiple fucking orgasms! Would you guys stop ruining sex for me with all of this baby talk?"

"Just deal the cards skittle tits."

"She is the beacon in the raging storm of my soul, and without her, I don’t think I’d ever be able to glue the jagged rips shut."

Wow. Chasing Hayleigh is officially my favorite of The Fae Guard series, so far! This is the third book in the series and it was a perfect continuation of the overarching plot and a real sizzler too. I absolutely tore through this book and devoured every single word. I absolutely loved Brannon and Hayleigh. Something about their story was just so perfect. Light and dark in complete balance. If you like mature paranormal romance, trust me this series is well worth the read!

Hayleigh has been on Brannon’s mind for four years, and he has been trying to break down her walls each and every day. He knows she is the one for him, but he just needs to convince her of that. Hayleigh had a tough life and eschews most physical and emotional connections. She puts every ounce of her life into her job protecting the young fae from the dark. These two need each other for support more and more as the dangers continue to increase not only to their world but also the charges they are sworn to protect.

This book not only advances the plot significantly in this series, but it also brings the sexy! Brannon is a strong alpha male and he needs Hayleigh in more ways than even he knew. She is strong willed and fierce, but she hasn’t had much luck in life letting people get to know her. She has found quite a bond with the other girls, but they are also busy being moms & wives, and Hayleigh realizes she might just have to trust her desires to be with Brannon, but she is still scared he might not be able to move past her unfortunate history. However, their chemistry was clearly smoldering after four years of chasing each other and it is really intense when they are together.

This book also advances a lot of the other characters plots, especially Fate’s. I have to say I am completely shocked at the turn of events in this book and I have no idea what is going to happen next…which is great and also nerve-wracking! I will also admit that almost threw my Kindle at the evil, evil epilogue, which means I can only expect the next book, Saving Kendrix, to be a real freaking doozy. But each book gets better and better and I absolutely cannot wait for the 4th book!

I was honored to be given an advance reader copy in order to provide an unbiased and honest review. All thoughts are my own and I was in no way compensated for these thoughts.

"The first time I met Hayleigh, I fell in love. An eternal love that had seeded itself deep in my heart. I knew no one else, fated or not, would ever erase what I felt for her."

Chasing Hayleigh is the third book in the Fae Guard series. This paranormal romance series has been so good, and it further develops and strengthens with each book.

"She is the beacon in the raging storm of my soul, and without her, I don't think I'd ever be able to glue the jagged rips shut."

Hayleigh has had those in her life who have let her down and caused her to question the intentions of others around her. In this book, we are witness to her vulnerabilities, the things that cause her walls to be torn down, and the ones that bring them back up.

"I don't know how much more I can take before I'm irrevocably damaged with no hope of repair."

The plight of our main character, Brannon, is very unique to the book world. What he endures in this story is nothing short of horror, and his only escape is Hayleigh. He seems to be weaker at times, but with Hayleigh he is the dirty-talking, alpha-male that we all love.

“He’s given you everything and if you’re going to grasp eternity together, you need to do the same.”

In the opening pages of Chasing Hayleigh, Author Elle Christensen gives a brief overview of what has happened up to this point in the series and the significance of it in the realm of the Fae. As the book progresses, we see a depth in character qualities that were not as evident in the others books in this series. It also delves into a side of the Fae that is secretive and unknown.

"Her moans are long and loud, the way I like to hear them, free because she isn't able to hold back. "

The heat factor in Chasing Hayleigh was off-the-charts fantastic. It seemed as though Hayleigh and Brannon's dance around each other for years fed a sexual beast in each of them. When it was unleashed, they were a sensual force that made me feel as if I'd crawled into bed with them. I also loved the teases and hints of undercurrents in the story surrounding secondary characters. The continued journey is one that I look forward to taking and anticipate the next book in this series.

"You are my destiny in every way."

Book three in Elle Christensen’s FaeGuard Series picks up where “Loving Ean” left off and gets right back into it. We meet Brannon and the very closed off Hayleigh. Brannon is exuberant, strong and a beast of a man, but in a sexy way. I really truly fell in love with Hayleigh and her story of what formed her into the woman she is today. At her core, she is a “warrior”, but she is also soft hearted, kind and loyal. I found her struggles to be endearing and really helped to me to come to really love her.

The story delves further into the Faery lore and the dark side of it. I felt like I was walking a tight rope throughout the story. It felt like The Fallen were breathing down the necks of the Faeries. I worried for each of them. I liked the cusp of edge I felt like I was teetering on as a reader. There was build up and anticipation in this book that had me flipping pages faster to see where things went. I also swooned over the love and emotion in this book. Elle did something so beautiful with Brannon and Hayleigh that she hadn’t done before and it just had me melting into a puddle on the floor.

All that being said, this book reveals so much more to the story. We learn a little bit more of the motives of The Fallen and hold onto your seats, we learn a bit more about Fate (the girls weekend or night out was classic). There is a happy ending (of sorts). Leave it to Elle to push that boundary and twist our hearts with a killer Epilogue. She knows what she did and I guess I thought I was over it, but I am not (insert growl here). I had a book hangover and it has taken me a few days to move on from Brannon and Hayleigh’s story. I loved this book and this series just took a turn that created a twist I DID NOT SEE COMING. I need more LIKE ASAP.

I Was Provided A ARC By The Author
(Possible Spoilers)

Each book I fall more in love with this series, with this world and with these characters.

Hayleigh keeps to herself. She doesn't let many get to close. The little group of friends she does let close, still don't know a lot about her. She keeps secrets, worried her friends wont see her the same. She's been hurt to many times, to really let her guard down. But with Brannon she feels like maybe things could be different. That she could get close to someone and look forward to a future with them.

Brannon is loyal and protective of the ones he loves. He's goofy and sweet. And loves to have a good time. Tasked with a new job, he has to keep it a secret. No one knows what he is having to deal with day in and day out. The job is really taking a toll on him, draining him. Breaking him. The only happy part of his day is Hayleigh. He has cared about her for a long time, and when he gets a chance with her. He shows her that he will always be there for her. That he loves deeply and forever. He will work extra hard to make her see that.

I really loved every moment Brannon & Hayleigh shared. There was funny moments, extremely sexy moments, moments of pain, vulnerability, and so much love. Both Brannon and Hayleigh were great to read. Hayleigh is sweet, and broken, but strong and compassionate. But Brannon stole the show in this book. Brannon with a big heart and sweet words, is one dirty talking, alpha male. Holy S*** was Brannon a sexy beast. He made me blush. ;) Man oh Man do I LOVE him. The guys in this series are some of my favorite book boyfriends!

With the way Elle Christensen left the ending of this book, UGH I need the next one NOW!

I am so in love with the Fae! Elle Christensen brings us back to Rein and the Fae with another fabulous installment of The Fae Guard. This story is about Brannon and Hayleigh. Hayleigh comes from a difficult past, full of layers that sweet Brannon is dying to pull away. When she finally lets some of her guard down, Brannon leaps at the chance, and we get to see a beautiful story of trust, friendship and love.

I've loved watching Brannon and Hayleigh throughout this series. I knew their book was coming and Ms. Christensen did not disappoint one bit. I loved watching Hayleigh and Brannon build their trust over everything. While it took Hayleigh a bit longer to get there than it did Brannon, their journeys were uniquely difficult for a Fae. Their unwavering love for each other helped them through it, and in the end, protected them all.

For me, Brannon's journey throughout this made the book. It was fascinating to see a Fae need to act so un-fae-like and the emotional struggle it was for him to go so against his grain. It tore me up to watch Brannon fight himself during it.

I hope you will give this series a chance. As someone who rarely read anything involving paranormal prior to this series, let me say, IT IS FABULOUS! This book is a standalone, but as always, I highly recommend reading in order

Elle has created a really unique world in these books and chasing Hayleigh is no exception. I love the little twist on the fated mate trope. I am a total sucker for fated mates, so to see a different take on it was great! Hayleigh is a great character as well. You see her grow throughout the book and its not forced or rushed. I appreciate that because I love seeing a character develop, but only if its genuine. Brannon-HOT! Holy dirty talking alpha! And he is totally devoted which is another thing I adore in books!
Brannon had a few times when he was a bit on the alpha-asshole side and that annoyed me. Guys who are a little bossy don't bother me. Some of the things Brannon said however kind of made me bristle and I felt it was a bit jerk-ish. However, that only happened maybe twice and it could be me being overly sensitive!
If you are looking for a great, unique PNR, these books should be on the top of your TBR. Elle has created a great story with mystery, suspense, and deep love and Chasing Hayleigh continues in that tradition!
(Side note: the covers for her books are stunning!! Seriously!)

Review from Abibliophobia Anonymous Book Reviews

This is the third book in the Fae Guard series. While each book is about a different couple, there is a continuing story line throughout the series. I highly suggest you read them in order so it will make more sense. Plus all the characters are in every book.

Brannon has loved Hayleigh since he first saw her four years ago. He knows they aren’t soul mates, but he really does love her. He’s been patient with waiting for her. He’s almost at his limit though.

Hayleigh wants Brannon also. But she has been shunned basically her whole life. She doesn’t know how to do any type of relationship. She’s slowly learning though.

“You’re going to stop fighting me and let me love you. We’ll see where this goes from day to day. Now, you’re going to get your ass over here and let me kiss you like I’ve wanted to for four fucking years.”

They don’t have it easy. Both have some secrets they need to share with each other in order to move forward in their relationship.

That ending! What the heck is going on with Kendrix and what is Fate making him do??!!

This is the third book in the series and they just keep getting better and better. I love the connection between all the books and how the characters appear in each book. More secrets of the Fae world are revealed and you can't help but be drawn this amazing series. Hayleigh is a very strong woman who has been hurt in the past. She has these walls built around her that no man has been able to get through. She wants nothing more then to be loved but is afraid to open up to anyone. She lives for her job and puts everyone else first in her life. Brannon has loved Hayleigh from afar for years but he hasn't had any luck making her see that. His life is filled with darkness and Hayleigh is his light. She is the one who completes him. Finally things start to heat up with them holy hotness. But will Hayleigh be able to accept that Brannon is her happily ever after? Thrown into some very dangerous situations make you question how things will end. Pickup your copy today and enjoy the world that is Elle.

Chasing Hayleigh by Elle Christensen brings up back to the land of the Fae in the third story of her Fae Guard series. I would recommend reading the first two books in the series because they’re really good and full of some great characters. Hayleigh has lived most of her life alone, and she’s still trying to find her way in the community of Fae. Brannon has lived in the community his whole life, and one look at Hayleigh and he knows she is it for him. The only problem is she has a problem accepting anyone could truly accept her.

Brannon never gave up, and he was such a great guy who protected those around him, including Hayleigh. He’s willing to sacrifice for those he loves, and I want my own real like Brannon. Hayleigh reminded me of a lost girl who has had so much thrown at her. She’s trying to create a new life for herself, and she really earned my respect with the way she recreated herself. There was a bit of a suspense thrown in, which I enjoyed, and I can’t wait for Kendrix’s story!

Chasing Hayleigh - Fae Guard 3 - Elle Christensen 4.5 Stars

I am really loving this series, even though these books can be read as standalones I would highly recommend reading them in order. Hayleigh has had a hard life and hasn't had any family connection, because of this she keeps her distance from everyone especially Brannon. The attraction and chemistry between her and Brannon is so intense, will it work out for them when they both finally give in to their desires.

Another brilliant book in this series, I love how all the books entwine together but with no cliffhangers. Brannon is yet again another really hot alpha male, I think I'd be all in a fluster if I was living in their world ! This story kept me captivated all the way through and transported me right into their beautiful world. A brilliant series, with a mix of fantasy, erotica and suspense, this is well worth a read. I am now eagerly waiting to read book 4/Saving Kendrix.

I have enjoyed all of Elle Christensen's books, especially those in The Fae Guard series and Chasing Hayleigh definitely did not disappoint. We've met Hayleigh and Brannon in the previous books in the series and now we get their story. Hayleigh is very guarded and cannot bring herself to open up to Brannon. Brannon, however, is very persistent and refuses to let her shut him out. I love that Brannon is so certain that Hayleigh is his perfect love and takes every opportunity to reassure Hayleigh of that. What I love about Hayleigh is her strength. What makes this story one of my favorites is that there is we get to see all of the previous characters from the other books, there's a fair amount of humor and there is definitely lots of schmexy times. (Woot woot!) I absolutely recommend this series to all of you unfortunate souls that have not read it.

Thank god this was better than the 2nd one. Is most stopped with the series, but I'm glad I didn't!! I got my alpha male back!!!! My only complaint, is not having an epilogue about the couple.

This is the 3rd book in The Fae Guard series, but my first in this series.

Hayleigh's past is sad and has scarred her. She has found a family of sorts with the Fae Guard and is surviving but not really living. Notwithstanding her past she is strong and quick witted.

Brannon is oh so wonderful. Sweet, hot, loyal...I could go on and on. His dedication to Hayleigh is a beautiful thing. The intimate scenes are wonderfully written.

There is some history of the Fallen and the Fae Guard and even not having read previous books I had no trouble keeping up. A credit to Elle's writing.

Fate albeit dark, is quite entertaining and I enjoyed her foul mouth.

The epilogue with Kendrix looks to make the next installment a great adventure.

I was gifted an ARC for an honest review.
