KELLY THOMPSON has a degree in Sequential Art from The Savannah College of Art & Design. Her love of comics and superheroes have compelled her since she first discovered them as a teenager. Currently living in Portland, Oregon with her boyfriend and the two brilliant cats that run their lives, you can find Kelly all over the Internet where she is generally well liked, except where she's detested.

Kelly has published two novels - THE GIRL WHO WOULD BE KING (2012) and STORYKILLER (2014) and the graphic novel HEART IN A BOX from Dark Horse Comics (2015). She's currently writing ROGUE & GAMBIT, HAWKEYE, and PHASMA for Marvel Comics and GHOSTBUSTERS for IDW. Other major credits include: A-Force, Captain Marvel & The Carol Corps, Jem and The Holograms, Misfits, Power Rangers Pink, and the creator-owned mini-series Mega Princess.

Kelly's ambitions are eclipsed only by her desire to exist entirely in pajamas. Fortunately pajamas and writers go hand in hand (most of the time). Please buy all her stuff so that she can buy (and wear) more pajamas.

It was nice to see a little more focus on Synergy. I can see how it would be terrible if word got out about her, so we can only hope that it doesn't.

I know it's mean to say, but it was kinda laughable, when Jerrica lost her cool at the Holograms, from feeling overworked. She needs to realize that being the leader makes her be in charge of ALL THE THINGS. But, she's sweet and forgives quickly.

However, signing to the same label as The Misfits might have seemed like a bad idea to the Holograms, but as Jerrica stated, they offered the best contract. Guess that answers the question about who will be the opener at the Misfits concert, though. (And, y'all, the bands do sound good together: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2WGMt... )

I think the Halloween Party in the next issue will be fun.

One is starting to feel a little sorry for poor Jerrica. It's like she's the only one doing any work! This issue felt FAR TOO SHORT. I just love this comic so much I want to read it in huge chunks, but I can't wait till it gets released in graphic novels. I will admit I was missing Sophie's art a little this time. Emma does a great job but I think Sophie just has a better eye for the hairstyles and the outfits. But Kelly's writing as always is superb. I'm super excited for the Halloween party next issue!

This is getting so good, I'm so happy to see Jem is in such good hands. I love seeing more of the Misfits interacting and both Stormer and Pizzazz get some interesting development in this one. I wonder if this tour will entail what I'm thinking and, if so, I'm super excited to see how it ends up turning out. And I'm loving how Jerrica is treated, how it's so clear the toll it's taking on her to have so much on her shoulders and how that vulnerability makes her a stronger character, more approachable than what we've ever seen her. And the best part is that I also have the annual issue to read now!

Why isn't Jerrica putting a LITTLE more pressure on Kimber, at the very least? This is what Kimber wanted, right? I love Kimber, I love all the characters, but Jerrica is actually the worst at this point because she's TOO MUCH of a push-over. She's well done, but I want to smack her a bit.

Not a lot happened in this volume, but one thing that did happen, which I didn't like, was that all the Holograms ditched Jerrica and left her to do all the work. She begged them to help her and they acted like they had zero interest in working to promote and maintain the music career they all set out to build. It just didn't make sense that they would act that way.

Jerrica is overwhelmed with all the paper work and decisions that come with managing a band. Pizzazz and Stormer argue about the sound of their music. Techrat can't hack Synergy. I like the bit of humor that shows up now and then in the story. Like Techrat frustrated he can't hack Synergy but having the best time of his life.

Teaser

Too short a comic. I don't remember comics being this short when I was growing up. Visual crack is what it is.
