An energetic and deeply spiritual man, he has the unique ability to communicate not only to church-oriented people but also to the secular mind. His spontaneous humour and intellectually-stimulating approach to holistic Christian living make him a joy to listen to.
Ordained as a minister of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in 1995, Dr Papu has served the church at a number of different levels, including as the Youth Director of the Southern African Union (SAU) and as the Vice President for Student Affairs at Helderberg College. He is currently serving at the Southern Africa-Indian Ocean Division (SID) heading both the Ministerial and Family Ministries departments.
He and his wife, Nomthandazo Patricia, have been blessed with two young adult sons, Bulumko and Sihle. Dr Papu enjoys distance running and cycling.

Beyond temptation is a book about the lessons we can learn from the life of Joseph.
Joseph suffered greatly through out his life but still remained faithful to God and forgave those who harmed him.
Dr. Papu shows us how we can grow closer to Christ by facing temptation with Joseph's attitude.
