Nico Constantin is handsome, charming, and above all mysterious. When he and his brother Roman return to the quiet town of Oak Bluffs, they bring with them an unforeseen amount of supernatural baggage. And no one is affected more so than the innocent Celeste Wilder, who is simply trying to finish her senior year of high school. As the brothers struggle to keep her safe from her inescapable destiny, one thing is certain: nothing will ever be the same for any of them.
A companion novella to the best selling Wilder: The Guardian Series, as told by the intriguing Nico Constantin. This is a small glimpse into the world of Celeste Wilder and the Constantin brothers. For the entire story read Wilder the first book in The Guardian Series next!
G.K. De Rosa has been an avid reader from a very young age. In fact, before she could even read, she tried fooling everyone into thinking that she could. At the precocious age of two, while living in Italy, she had memorized an entire children’s book in Italian and expertly turned the pages at the exact right moments of the story. As she grew up, she always enjoyed literature, no doubt having been instilled with a love of story telling from her early years in Catholic school where she was greatly influenced by exemplary teachers who taught her the value of English and Literature. Though she did not pursue writing in college and instead went for the more traditional route of International Business inspired by her love for travel and all things foreign, after a move to New York City, she found her creative writing side calling once again. She began writing a restaurant review blog, City Lights and Tasty Bites, detailing her other passion – food! The hectic hustle and bustle of the city, combined with long commuting times gave her the opportunity to spend more time reading and rekindled a lost love. After reading countless books in many diverse genres over the two years in New York City, and returning to her home state of Florida, she felt compelled to write something for herself. She had always felt particularly drawn to Young Adult novels and having been an eternal romantic at heart, a fantasy romance was a natural choice. She currently lives in South Florida with her real life Prince Charming and their fur baby, Nico the German Shepherd.
This was a perfect beginning to what, looks like will be a superb series. Loved the characters, story line, mystery, the likeability of all is through the roof. Can't wait to really get into the grit of this series.
This novella gives us a look at the Wilder universe through the eyes of Nico, who is something of a pervy young man. This viewpoint is something of a change from that in the Wilder novel, but it has funny moments as he ogles girls and watches his brother - who frowns upon Nico's naughty ways - do exactly the same thing. A short but fun read.
After reading Wilder, the first book in the Wilder: The Guardian Series, as well as an advanced copy of it’s sequel Wilder Destiny, I just had to get my hands on Finding Wilder. It was such a fun read and I loved being able to see what was going on inside of Nico’s head as it was told from a first person perspective.
This novella is set just after the Constantin brothers move to Oak Bluffs and tells of when Nico first meets Celeste Wilder. It was fun seeing his first impressions and feeling of her and answered a question or two of why he didn’t pursue Celeste himself. I also enjoyed the interactions between Nico and his brother Roman as well as well as learning a little more about their background.
This novella could be read at any point within the series though it does contain scenes from the first book retold through Nico’s point of view. I recommend this to anyone who is a Wilder fan and for those looking for a glimpse into the world G.K. DeRosa created. Though be warned, after you get a taste of this novella you’re gonna want more so be prepared to follow it up with Wilder and Wilder Destiny.
I have received a copy of this E Book free of charge from the Author in exchange for an honest review. Firstly, thank you for this opportunity. Finding Wilder is told mainly from Nico's point of view. It tells of how the two brothers initially met Celeste, hints at the bigger secret and a possible romance. The story was easy to follow and I found that once I started reading, it was hard to put down because I wanted to know what happens next. There wasn't much background information on how these two brothers became vampires, but from the vague information provided in flashbacks with their parents I have to assume there was always some supernatural connection to their family. I have not read the other books yet so I hope that the rest of the books provide more information about this. Overall, this was a delightfully intriguing read that is setting up for what looks like a very exciting young adult paranormal series.
This short novella is a YA paranormal, and it's a bit different. Yes, there are vampires and werewolves in it (cameo appearances in this one), but the two main characters (the Constatin brothers) appear to be something different. We don't find out exactly what they are in this book, and that's part of the fun. It makes you want to read the series. This is sort of a side story to G. K. DeRosa's Guardian Series. As such it's a very effective way to give readers a sample of the series and to hook them. It hooked me. I have purchased the first book in the series to read.
Why 4 stars and not 5? It's partly a matter of taste. I tend to reserve 5 for those that blow me away. This is very good and enjoyable, but not quite at the "wow" level. The editing quality is also 4 out 5, not quite perfect.

I enjoyed this book even more than I expected to since I am unfamiliar with DeRosa's work. The first couple pages reminded me a bit of the Salvatore brothers in L.J. Smith's "Vampire Diaries" books but once I realized it wasn't going in that direction I was able to get lost in the story. Every question I had while reading was answered by the end of the book and I appreciate the way readers were given a bit of back story on the characters since, my understanding is, the novella can be read at any point in the series. I can't wait to dive into the first book in the series and see how "Finding Wilder" plays into the rest of the books.
I loved this book, read it in 2 days. I have not read the other Wilder books yet, even thou it said there would be a few spoilers it I did not. Now that I read this book by GK DeRosa , I'm excited to go back and read all of the Wilder The Guardian Series books, especially if written as good as this one. There are different paranormal in the story line. The only thing is it leaves you hanging on the brothers, Celeste and Natalie. what will happen to them, will it go well for them or not?
I loved seeing the action through Nico's eyes. It put a new spin on the series. It also enlightened me on why he didn't pursue Celeste. This is a quick read and while not necessary to understand the series, it does help.
Finding Wilder: A Guardian Series Novella (The Guardian Series Book 0)
I’m so excited to start reading this book..... I love ❤️ the way the brothers seem to clash over the same girl... now just need to see why and what this new adventure brings..
Definitely recommend this novella, I decided to read it before the 1st book, wanted to understand the background....
Easy to read and enjoy of 2 brothers who become vampires. Story is told thru Nico, and his point of view. They are charming, girls can't resists their looks and charm. Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion.
An intriguing storyline. Two brothers trying to keep one girl safe from what? Just acting like they are two regular young guys just helping her out and watching out for her in a paranormal world. Good reading.
Favorite Quote: "Celeste rests her arms up against his shoulders and Roman lightly touches her waist. I can tell she’s reluctant to give in so easily, but I already see her melting into his arms. Roman exhales, and I know he’s defeated."
Great novella giving some background on vampire brothers Nico & Roman & how their connection & unique relationship with the new budding Guardian begins. Excellent short read!
Cute little story but also a little confusing about what the brothers are and Celeste. Thankfully I have book 1 to find out more and probably should have read this after.
This novella is a different perspective on the events that began the first book (Wilder), from a different character's perspective. A lot of it was almost verbatim from the first book. And I found that, because both books were written in third person, you've already seen the story from multiple perspectives. I didn't think this book added much to the story, but it did explain some of the characters motivations a little more clearly. I would say, in this series, this one is skippable.
I so loved reading this novella from Nico's POV. It definitely gives an interesting look and how the brother's came into Celeste's life. I absolutely loved Nico before but now even more. To hear his thoughts and feelings just add that little bit of extra greatness to the whole story.
