A fun little book. sadly there is a lot more focus on newer figures but the older ones are a real gem. probably (like me) this is one best bought just for a quick browse and the exclusive minifigure

I may not own any minifigures but I do love them. This book offers a selection of "the coolest, the rarest, and most unusual minifigures ever produced by the LEGO group. It is divided into 11 themed sections and each page" shares three to five facts about the figure, the common name of the figure (early figures did not have official names), a quote of insight from a designer about the figure's design process, variants or related figures, and then the stats of which LEGO series it originated, date, first appearance, and a rarity scale one through five- one being not rare to five being very rare.

I was learning as I was reading. I certainly remembered seeing some of these figures on television- be it commercial or series, otherwise, I knew very little about them. I certainly found a few I would like to collect. It is with glee that I see the evolution of styles from the earliest rather standardized look (with minor changes) to today's greatly varied styles of hair(or head covering), clothing, and facial expression.

This book has been on my shelf for many years now. I do like flicking through it every now and then to look at all the different minifigures. It certainly is an interesting read. 4 Stars

Book 71 is LEGO: I Love That Minifigure by DK Publishing.

This was a must read for me since I collect female Lego minifigures.

There is so much information about rare minifigures, cool collections and reasons behind why certain characters were chosen.

A great reference book for Lego collectors and fans.

4 Minifigures out of 5.

Should I read this? For the Lego collectors and fans, for sure.
What did I learn? Lego gets very very expensive when rare.

It was a fun book with interesting facts about mini-figures. We are kind of obsessed with Legos at our house.

Excellent visual encyclopedia style listing of Lego minifigures. Information included date of release, which Lego set it first appeared in, rarity, and overall features. Colorful and fun!
