Dani Rene has written a great book in Ace of Hearts. A love triangle between brothers that is exceptionally well written and includes incredible details and descriptions. Triston drove me batty at times with his demanding rigid ways and Bash - swoon (he needs his own book). Evie was a solid character trying to find her heart between the two.
While this book does contain cheating it also contains true raw feelings of happiness, anger, lust and love. I know cheating will make this a book for not everyone I really would encourage you to read this book and go on this adventure.

I am not really sure what to say about this story because I really enjoy this author normally but, for me this time around I am going to say this story was not for me and I really hate saying that.
This story sexual wise was super hot and I can't believe I am saying this but, this story had way to much sex and not enough plot and what plot for me just didn't do it for me.The story itself was fan worthy and had a Fifty Shades of Grey Vibe to it .
There was no doubt the Tristion and Bash characters in this story were super hot and sexy as sin but, there was not one character I actually liked.I thought all the characters were way to immature and wishy washy and not one character had any kind of loyalty.

I just could not get into this story.I understood Emily being caught between two men and having feelings for each other and whats was more estranged brothers complicates things and I can definitely understand the attraction because both of them could lend something different to a relationship and could not be more different but, from the onset of the story it was clear Emily was into kink and submissive and only Tristion was going to satisfy her needs sexually in the bedroom.The other thing that I didn't like how the whole stalker ex husband thing played out the author could have drawn that whole situation out more making the story more intense and suspenseful and not only that Tristion was the one looking into the whole matter of the ex husband and has been doing everything he can do to protect her and keep her safe and the brother ends up being the hero of the story? wth
Overall all we are just going to say that this story was not for me.I love the whole love triangle twist normally and loved the erotica sex scenes and its no doubt this author can right some hot sexy scenes but, It was just the characters I just could not get into.Here Tristion was the big wig ceo and I just felt he was just just as childish as Emily was and every time Tristion said or did something she didn't like she went running into Bash arms seeking comfort when all along knowing the bad blood between the brothers not only that she keeps saying she is in love with Tristion yet betraying him at every turn for choosing to seek out him in the first place .The other thing that bothered me is the fact that Emily never once took into consideration was her actions and what it would do to her job that she was good at and successful at because it was bad enough screwing the boss but, your pitting brother against brother is that really the wise choice?
I am the odd man out here as many others really loved this story but, that's okay we can't love them all but, there have been many stories by this author I throughly enjoyed.

Mind Blown! I was capivitated from the start of the book as we're introduced to Emily as she has moved to NY recently and doesn't have any friends or family round, then we get to meet Triston the sexy as all hell alpha male. This story turns up the heat just the way I like it, the Sparks are flying everywhere with these two. Throughout the whole book I had a big grin on my face imagining myself as Em, she is one very lucky lady. Just when you think things won't get any hotter we learn about Bash & things turn up another notch. There's so much more to the story then just sex, we're taken briefly into the past and learn a bit more about them. The decisions that were being made and chosen had me gasping at times and I don't know who I was cheering for. I was pulled into their story through the end. The storyline held strong all the way through ending was perfect, wasn't rushed. I highly recommend you grab your copy now.

I can totally understand why Emily had a hard time in making her decisions, but let me tell you, when she’d make some of them, I’d gasp! Like whaat?!! Emily!! How even?! (But I get it, girl, it’s hard!)

The plot of this story was interesting, captivating, and I kept on salivating for more each time I turned the pages! The push and pull the heroine had with each hero, the amount of steam and chemistry was hot and passionate, and the factors in deciding what she should do really had me at the edge of my seat!
The ending really made me grin and I loved how René tied up all the loose ends! Her writing always keeps me consumed!

This book was hot on so many levels! I read it faster than any book I’ve ever read. It was THAT good! It was twisted and intense. This author knows how to pull you in with her amazing words!

Talk about love triangle!! I’ve read quite a few love triangle books, but I’ll say this one has to be one of my top 5 favorites!! Emily has had a rough past and leaves her life behind to start a new one in New York. While there she lands her dream job, where she can showcase her talents. Her boss Tristan is dark and brooding and swears he’s never loved anyone and he has no intentions of ever loving anyone. But that’s all thrown out the window the minute Emily walks into his office. And well, she can’t deny the attraction for Tristan either, well until a handsome stranger swoops in……
What a freaking fantastic book!!! And like Emily I’m torn between Bash and Tristan and I refuse to choose…...a girl can have both right?? Great debut novel and I can’t wait to read more!!

Can I first start saying that this was written SO GOOD for being a debut novel?
I am blown away by how addictive this book was, and how this story was filled with twist and turns that kept my attention until the very end. I love how Dani could make you picture exactly everything that was on the pages.
I was HOOKED from the first page, wanting more Em – Bash – Triston (No, I’m not going to explain who they are, Yes you’re going to have to pick it up for yourself and find out). I was loving all this them all for different reasons, and I just couldn’t wait to see how it was going to plan out.
See, the reason I’m giving this book 4 stars is because about 70% in, I just couldn’t stand the heroine and the decisions she was making. I felt disconnected and just had a hard time getting back into this story. I tried to see things from her POV but it just didn’t feel okay for me. After that I just had a hard time liking the characters based on their decisions.
BUT, because I loved this story so much up until the ending, I’m just going to act like it never happened and make up my own ending #howisthat
So Dani, cheers woman! You have a gift I hope to see a lot more from.

Its been a while since I have read a love triangle book and I forgot how much I loved them. Not knowing who was going to win. Working it all out on my end of which one of the two I would choose. But you also get a little bit of suspense and drama in it as well. I mean what Triangle wouldn't have drama.
Emily has up and moved to New York to pursue her dream job in which she lands. But little does she realized the kind of trouble she could be facing.
Not only is her boss Triston hotter than sin but she also meets Bash who is just as sexy. Only difference Triston is not looking for love or a relationship as the more alpha CEO I'm in charge kind of guy where as Sebastian hes so sexy but laid back at the same time.
Who will Emily choose, Can she choose between the two of them when shes falling for both, What happens when the past shes running from catches up to her and threatens to ruin the life shes starting to build for herself?

For her first novel...she hit a home run. This story had the perfect combination of love and angst, even had a few no, no, no moments. Emily gets the ideal job in NYC. Her boss, Triston, is a hard egg to crack. But is there chemistry between them? Triston sends off mixed messages, so when Emily meets the CEO of a coffee company, she doesn't hesitate to accept a date. They each have their secrets that will make or break them. Can they handle the truth? How can she love 2 men? How can she choose? Enjoy this roller coaster ride of fun, falling in love, making mistakes and forgiveness. I Ioved the characters, even though they were frustrating. The sex scenes are hot and leaves you wondering what's next for them. Definitely worth the one click

It's hard to believe this is a debut novel, because it's a great storyline, with 2 hot with brothers and a amazing female lead. A rollercoaster of a read, highs and lows and one tough decision. Overall a wonderful 5 star read!

No matter what I read from this author I can’t fault her. I’m sure she could persuade me to read a sports magazine and I’d still love it lol
Emily’s story is hot...like get the fan out hot. Emily moves to New York for a clean start. There she meets her new boss Triston. He’s super hot and there’s chemistry between them. When she meets a sexy handsome stranger Emily’s life is gonna change forever.
I felt the author threw me on a fast speeding emotional roller coaster with this story. I absolutely without a doubt loved this story. From start to finish I was gripped and couldn’t read it fast enough. Can’t wait to read more from this author.

So sexy and emotional, love triangles are one of my favourite genres and in Dani's hands this is a rollercoaster I devoured with the upmost pleasure. It drove me nuts at times, but in the most delicious of ways. I was torn and frustrated but LOVED EVERY. SINGLE. SECOND.

Review:
I loved this book, but I must say that I didn’t love Emily. Okay maybe I am a little jealous. Two gorgeous guys fighting for her attention. Yeah I am jealous. This is the debut novel by Dani Rene. I am so happy that I had the opportunity to read it. Ms. Rene has written a captivating story full of romance, dominance,mystery, drama, passion and sex. As much as I disliked Emily, I found both Triston and Sebastian drool worthy. I wouldn’t mind having either one of them.
The plot of this story was interesting. I had so many questions running through my head as I read this book, but as I learned more about the characters, the answers were revealed. So a little suspense is put in for good measure. The chemistry is hot, and sometimes angry, but always passionate. This is a fast paced book with some intense action. The ending has all the loose ends tied up nicely. We do learn why the characters are the way they are. Ms. Rene shows us how these complicated characters can break and come out stronger than ever.

Let me start by saying that this book has caused me some internal debate over rating it a 4 or 5... and it has everything to do with ME and not the authors writing or delivery of this story.
NOTE: This is a love triangle with a twist & if you aren't for a read that has some cheating elements, then please read any other of this brilliant authors books.
Our heroine Emily is in start-over mode - new city, new job, new beginning and not looking for love. So naturally when you're not looking - it presents itself... and not just once, but twice.
Triston is smart, savvy & sexy AF... and also Emily's boss. He's challenging, demanding, controlling and so completely alpha, that if you're into that sort of guy, your panties will explode right off your body anytime he's on the page. Course that could just be my reaction...
Bash (Sebastion) is much more laid-back and while still a sexyAF business man, he takes himself far less seriously and is far less intense, allowing Emily to embrace the more spirited side of her personality when she is with him.
Essentially Bash is burgers and ale to Triston's canapés & vintage wine. Both guys are in complete contrast to the other... however there's a twist that will suggest they may be more alike than initially thought.
Enter dilemma of choice and tough decision time for Emily. When three hearts are on the line, who's is going to get broken?
Up until I read this book, I would have said that cheating wasn't necessarily a hard limit for me to enjoy a story... sometimes with menage it can appear that way at first. That said, this is not a menage book & it turns out that the 'cheating' in this case bothered me somewhat... hence me initially thinking it's a 4 start read. Then, still thinking about it for days after finishing it (in my mind only great reads do that for a start...), I kept debating what would I do in the situation presented in the book? What choices would I make? I found myself at times frustrated with Emily and didn't understand her at all. And finally, lightbulb moment...the answer was easy - my personality is sooo completely different to our heroine. Of course I would've done things differently, but the story was not about me - it was her journey, therefore I can't compare her choices to my own as it would be completely unfair and judgemental.
So 5 stars it is, because the story is certainly captivating. challenging, emotional, steamy as all get out & you can't help but find yourself torn between our two potential heroes and which one, if either, Emily will choose.

That said, this is not a menage book & it turns out that the 'cheating' in this case bothered me somewhat... hence me initially thinking it's a 4 start read. Then, still thinking about it for days after finishing it (in my mind only great reads do that for a start...), I kept debating what would I do in the situation presented in the book? What choices would I make? I found myself at times frustrated with Emily and didn't understand her at all. And finally, lightbulb moment...the answer was easy - my personality is sooo completely different to our heroine. Of course I would've done things differently, but the story was not about me - it was her journey, therefore I can't compare her choices to my own as it would be completely unfair and judgemental.
So 5 stars it is, because the story is certainly captivating. challenging, emotional, steamy as all get out & you can't help but find yourself torn between our two potential heroes and which one, if either, Emily will choose.

Oh My Goodness! If your a Fifty Shades Of Grey fan then you will flove this book. This book has it all but the Red Room Of Pain! The storyline is amazing and I had a hard time picking if I was Team Triston or Team Bash. This book will make you feel all the emotions that Em goes through. See her struggle to getting the happiness she deserves.
Triston is dominant, Alpha male, sexy as sin and has a very dark side. Em works for the dark a mysterious Triston and knows she shouldn't do anything with her boss. While setting up a convention she meets Bash. Bash is fun loving, easy going and is not hard on the eyes. Em starts dating both men, she has a connection to both of them, but is conflicted with mix emotions that Triston is sending. Em finally finds out that Bash is Triston's brother and now her feelings are even more out of control. Em and Triston have a business trip in LA, where Em past comes back haunt her. OMG as much as I have come to love Dani Rene's books, I can't believe I am just now reading Ace of Harts. But better late than never.

CAN I START BY SAYING, I HATE GIVING HARD REVIEWS!
I thoroughly enjoyed the story and the banter and sexual tension between the 2 main characters, Emily and Triston.
I thought the dynamics added by introducing his brother Sebastian (Bash) was intriguing, yet awkward at the same time. Although not cheating the relationship between him and Emily skirted the realm of cheating, with stolen kisses and make out sessions, while she was with Triston.
The star was deducted, I almost removed another star, due to the cheating elements. For me cheating is a hard limit in my reading. Triston cheating, then giving Emily the option to cheat too, which she did...... UUUGGGHH!
Overall, taking these elements out, I loved the storyline, the sexual exploration and chemistry between Emily and Triston.

Wow this story was really interesting, it was hot and sweet at same time. It makes you realise you are meant to be loved. It doesn't matter if you love two people, you will always love one more. It also made me realise your past is your past not your future.
I loved how Emily came out of her shell, and let herself feel. After everything with her husband, she didn't let that way her down. She lives her life to fullest, and lets people love her.
I loved Triston, how he has a dark side to him but also is fun and loving. Also can act like a kid. I loved how he opened himself up to Emily in the end, and let his heart lead him.
I really enjoyed this story, and wished it hadn't ended. I recommend this story to anyone who likes a Alpha Male.

I enjoyed this book. There definitely was a lot of erotic scenes between all 3 main characters. Emily Reid is a 33 year old divorced woman starting her life over in New York where she works with a hot smoldering billionaire, Triston Hart. She is attracted to her new boss and it seems the feeling is mutual. Triston presents a hot and cold demeanor to Em leaving her feeling confused. She meets a charming coffee entrepenur, Sebastion, aka Bash whom intrigues her. Em is in a love triangle with both men who seem to have a connection unbeknownst to her. This story is not without some angst and twists. My only complaint of the book is the inconsistent use of British words at times which is out of place for characters who are American.

I loved this book! It has everything that I have come to love about a book by Dani René. It is undeniably sexy and the emotional roller coaster that she puts you on is insane, but you can't help but want more. This book is a love triangle with a twist that will frustrate you in the best way possible. If you love an alpha male and don't mind a little competition then you will love this book! enjoy;)

This was a mixed bag of tricks. On the surface, the storyline had the potential to be really good and plot driven. The characters also were at first relatable and likable. Then things kind of changed all the way around.
Emily has just moved to the city and landed her dream job which also comes with her dream man wrapped up as her boss. When he flip flops hot and cold on her with no follow through she ends up going out with another good looking guy she meets at a work function. Since this is a love triangle, needless to say, her boss overcomes his conflicting feelings and the two of them begin a seriously intense affair. The other guy is revealed more in depth as there's a slight twist and he's also out of the picture. She loves Tristan wholeheartedly (her boss) while Bash (other guy) just isn't quite it. All that was cool with me and knowing there was a love triangle I knew Bash would be back. No problems there.
But then the author made the characters unworthy. This guy cheats on her because he's jealous of the thought that she (in his mind) did X. She cheats on said guy because he did what he did and she's all of a sudden in love with two men now not one making her life oh so hard. It all kind of went downhill from there for me. I don't really care about cheating. I've read books I've loved where the husband was cheating on the wife and caused her pain BUT there was always a strong reason for the plot device and fleshed out characters to back it up.
The other killer for me was the constant repetitive "Miss Reid's" and "Mr. Hart's" - how many times do you need to keep up with that through a book? Apparently the whole time! And every other sentence for 50 percent of the book has to have Tristan's name in it as if one isn't aware that's who she's talking to, dining with or in bed with at the time. The sex scenes were also on the repetitive side and take them out and you'd probably only have half the book left!
I appreciate that this was the author's first novel and she's evolved since then. And the potential promise of the storyline including the creepy ex was certainly a good set up. But in the end, it just failed in it's execution. Still, 3 stars for a first try novel, anything less and I'd feel like a creep...

She was superficial with no concern for anyone but herself. The word giggle was overused and the s..ex scenes, while hot, became page fillers that I found myself skimming through. I personally felt it took away from the growth of the plot. There was potential to really use her past and to show more depth into each of the characters. I’m not sure where to start. I really really wanted to love this book because I love the angst that cheating and bring but sadly this book fell flat for me. It felt forced and monotone throughout most of the story. In my head the characters all had the same voice. They didn’t differ to me. Maybe that’s because it was a single POV or something.
This book was very...... sex prone. That’s the one thing that came to mind. After the first sex scene it seemed liked every chapter had many sex scenes in it and I found that it took away from the overall plot. Maybe that’s what the author was going for. The angst wasn’t very angsty. The mild suspense was pushed to the back.... it was just a lot of sex.
I found my self really not liking Triston all that much. He tried to hard to be the way he came off. I found my self rolling my eyes a lot because of his actions. Bash was ok, seemed kinda childish, but to be honest they all seemed that way. Emily was ok, but at the same time annoyed me with her inner dialogue. I don’t wasn’t to say I hated the characters..... just...... didn’t connect with them.
I liked the characters well enough to keep reading and the plot, while predictive was decent. I did struggle though. I found my self a little bored. 4.5 steamy love triangle stars
A hot and dramatic love triangle story which left me hot around the collar and soaking in the panty-region.
Dani René writes engaging and steamy stories and this one was another winner!
I loved the characters and the intricate back and forth between them. I did struggle to understand the motivations of the characters at times, but the emotional impact was definitely there and I was scowling, laughing, and smiling at my kindle throughout.

Choosing the Hart by Dani Rene is the story of Emily Reid a divorcee (age 33) who has just moved to NY to start a new job. Emily new boss is Triston Hart who she is of course is very attracted to, but he is hard to read for her with his standoffish ways...not to mention he is her boss. Then she happens to meet Sebastion 'Bash' a Coffee mogul who is totally different from Triston. But her feelings are starting to be for both men which adds to her confusion.
There is cheating to this story line because of the trio story line and when feelings are high jealousy / confusion level.
Overall enjoyed this book and looking for more from this author.

There are roller coaster turns that I did not expect, yet they made the book so much more enjoyable. This is a love triangle book. We have Emily the scarred past heroine who moves to New York and lands her dream job. She is attracted to her alpha billionaire boss Triston, but things do not heat up for about 3 months, just at the same time she meets another alpha billionaire, Bash. The first roller coaster turn comes with a connection to the bad boy billionaires, but I will keep that shock a secret, shhhh. The love triangle plays out throughout the story, with a lot of heat intertwined as well.
