My husband gave me this after I said that I was going to work up some pieces for the Beethoven festival in December when Ludwig’s birthday is, and I really enjoyed working through this book. My husband and I are both professional musicians, and he also enjoyed playing some of these pieces at the piano (he is primarily a bass guitar player, but also loves the piano). I spent many hours with this book at the piano, some challenging, some wonderful, as some fulfilling — all making me a better pianist. There are a lot of technical and historical notes that are very interesting and helpful. Everyone who loves the challenge of playing Beethoven really ought to get a copy of this book.
