This book was a really easy read. I needed to get another book in for a reading challenge I’m doing at my school so I chose this one. The author could have done better making this book a little more like the others with more plot twists and things. It was kind of boring. “Back in the Saddle” was a very realistic book and. The only thing that I can think of that the author did well was not make Haley’s personality change from her last book about her. I would recommend this book to a kid who likes horses. A purely indulgent childhood read. It made me feel like I was 10 again, which was fun, but also reminded me why I don't read middle grade/kid-lit anymore. Still a fun read :)
