This is such a fun companion to the 2016 Ghostbusters movie. It doesn't tell you anything you couldn't have learned from the movie, but it's a quick and lighthearted read. I love all the little asides and extra notes included. Reading this makes me want to rewatch the movie and makes me wish it had gotten a sequel.

I liked the pics and stuff from the movie. The book seemed to jump around a lot and the “organization” didn’t make much sense to me.

A pocketbook sized publication written to be like an impromptu handbook. It doesn't work as a guide to the inner workings of the new Ghostbusters team, as it only glosses over the subject matter in a very superficial way. It goes try to go over the history of the characters and the "science" behind their gear, and guidelines for ghost catching. But it is all just skimming the surface. The book tries more to be funny than informative. While you do get to see some technical diagrams of things like the proton pack, it is so small you can hardly read any of it (if you can read it at all).

Very disappointing.

only really had one new detail, but it was an important one about erin and abby's friendship. otherwise, this was fun and would be really good for kids/teens who liked the movie!
