Jennifer Malone Wright is best known for her best selling novella series, The Vampire Hunter’s Daughter. Other works include the follow up to The Vampire Hunter’s Daughter series called The Arcadia Falls Chronicles, The Graveyard Guardians series and her full length vampire novel called Savior (A Higher Collective Novel).

She resides in the beautiful mountains of northern Idaho with her husband and five children where she practices preparing for the zombie apocalypse. Just kidding!

But seriously, between the craziness of taking care of her children, Jennifer has little time left for herself. The time she does have left, usually leading far into the night, is spent working on her beloved fiction or chatting with her equally crazy friends.

Omg from the first paragraph this book enticed me set from Christiana's point of view, this girl is sassy and quirky and I fell in love with her more shes been a constant character within the group of vampire hunters and the last book saw her turned into what shes ment to hunt. Im glad she hasnt become over powered with the blood lust and her friends still accpect her as herself not a vampire shes still their christiana there fellow team member.

To be honest this book is frecking great slightly different from the others theres no action fighting ect you are taken on a journey of trying to control being a vampire but also tryi bbc gnto use these new skills to still be her best I love the fact she donst give up.

Only downside to this book is I missed the other characters you only got them briefly in a fone call or at the end I would love to know how they have dealt with the change to christaina. I cant wait to read the next few books to see what is next for the group, sad part being that were one more book closer to the end and to be fair this is a world I dont wnat to end.

My favourite part of the book....

"I have become what I was born to kill. I am tainted. The blood that flows through my veins is no longer pure and good. I am now a vampire.

When I opened my eyes I expected to see Zander hovering over me, but he wasn’t there. What I did wake to was a burning in my throat and the overwhelming urge to quench it. The intensity of the thirst was unlike anything I’d ever felt before. I launched myself forward into a sitting position, grasping at my neck. I knew why this was happening to me. I had turned ... I wanted blood.

I am a vampire hunter, turned vampire......

How well would you take such a predicament?

When this author releases a new short story to this series, I am literally scrounging around for the ninety-nine pennies to purchase the next book, and this mind blowing story was no different and worth every penny that I found to get it.

This author has a fantastic knack for keeping us in suspense and on the edge of our seats. I have loved this series of short stories since I started them a couple of years ago and the author still amazes me with this series and especially with this new release. Usually I get bored with short stories, but this one, I can't seem to get enough of. While the last book ended, this one picked right up where the other left off. I love the courage of this character and her moto, 'I don't eat humans. I help them.' was a great way to introduce the ups and downs this character had to go through in this story. I also loved how the author would describe in great detail of what this character was going through and Anthony is just awesome in his patients with Christina and how they had bonded in such a short amount of time. It's a great story to get caught up in and one that I will wanna re-read from time to time. I am anxious to see how the author will pull off the next story, because this one has quite the cliffhanger. I was quite disappointed at how she ended it, but of course this is the way this author works at capturing her audience and keeping us craving for more.

Never saw that coming....and yet I am loving it!!
Book 7 is from Christina's POV. First of all, Anthony has been one of my favorite characters since we were introduced, & he totally proved why in this installment! Christina totally held her own though!! That girl's got some major spunk & I see great potential to come! The dinner party was so great of Anthony to do, & I got a few chuckles imagining Christina going all DIY on decorations. I am curious to see what the other hunters will think as well as what is to come for Zander & his Luv. Book 8 can not get here fast enough!

Origins and Impulse (The Arcadia Falls Chronicles #7)is the latest edition to the Arcadia Falls series which is the follow on series of The Vampire Hunter's Daughter: Complete Collection also by Jennifer Malone Wright (currently FREE on Amazon). Origins concentrates on Christina and her reactions to becoming a vampire after the cliffhanger ending of Book 6 when Christina was captured by Edgar and bitten, forced to drink human blood to bring on the beginning of the change. Chloe called Anthony (one of the original vampires) to come to help, whose suggestion is to take Christina with him so that she can learn to control her hunger once she wakes up and learn to accept who she has now become without being a danger to herself or her friends who have become like a family to her. Her boyfriend and Warrior Angel on Earth, Zander breaks his heart and lets her go knowing that this is the best thing for her.

Anthony’s home is like no other; rich fabrics, antiques, a massive swimming pool and Jacuzzi, more rooms than you could possibly need and Christina has access to everything she could possibly want, everything except her friends and the one thing she will never see again…. Sunlight. Heavy drapes cover the windows of each room within the house, blocking out the harmful rays of the sun.

Christina feels a profound sense of loss at the sudden realisation that she will never again be able to go swimming in the lake with her friends, sunbathe, go anywhere during the day, feel the warmth of the day’s sunlight rays upon her skin. Seeing herself in the mirror for the first time after waking up is a shock for her, gone is her sunkissed skin, it is now pale similar to that of a porcelain doll, and her eyes are red without blood to satisfy her need her once beautiful eye will remain red.
Because Christina has been trained to be a Vampire Hunter since birth, becoming what she kills is a huge culture shock and realising that she is going to have to feed turns her stomach, but the burn she feels inside only increases the longer she tries to abstain. Anthony convinces her to take her first drink but it does not go smoothly. Being a fledgling means that she has no control over the demon inside which wants to drain each human dry. Knowing that Leah, the woman who is the blood donor, is a willing participant helps and after some time, Christina and Leah become friends of a sort but her battle with the demon inside is a war she feels she cannot win, her humanity something she holds onto tightly knowing that her friends and Zander still want her helps but also Anthony being a one of the good, decent vampires who doesn’t give into his monster within helps her tremendously.

Researching her bloodline backwards so that they can learn whose line she comes from so that she knows her future fate given that the Hunters are planning to take out another original becomes an important task that Anthony takes on for her, but when she helps out seeing a photo of Edgar brings back her memory of the night she was turned and what truly happened is something that floors her and begins to haunt her every moment……….

Can Christina forgive herself for what happened that night? Whose bloodline will she belong to and what will her fate be? Will her friends still want to know her or will they want to kill her now she is a vampire? And most importantly to Christina, will Zander still Love her?

This novel is about a journey of discovery, a young girl finding herself again after going through a traumatic experience. Being a Vampire Hunter (one of the “Good Guys”) to being one of the enemy (one of the “Bad Guys”) and still trying to retain a sense of self is a mountain to climb. You will experience a full range of emotions you don’t normally see from Christina which I think is fantastic, it really opens her up as a character. Before she had just a supporting role within the main plot that was Chloe and Drew’s story but when combined with Book 6 which was from Zander’s POV you really get to see inside their relationship, how they fit together, how they each individually tick but how much they are actually meant for each other as well.

Taking a break somewhat from the main plot to explore these characters has been really interesting and brings some very unique twists to the main plot which continues to work away in the background. You see how details from other books in the series come together to bring the main plot whole again by the end of each novel, Origins and Impulses is no different and the ending was actually quite surprising when these details were revealed showing just how much thought was put into these details so far ahead of time. There are still quite a few other supporting characters that I believe could benefit from a book of their own just like Zander and Christina expanding them, allowing us to see inside who they are, there is so much more to learn about Gavin, Luke, Oscar and Alice as well as a huge amount of room for development on Chloe and Drew still, this series has the potential to become a huge series and I really hope it does.

For those of you who haven’t yet read how Chloe came to live in Arcadia Falls then reading The Vampire Hunter’s Daughter is a MUST READ as it will give you a fresh perspective on the base of the plot that we see in Arcadia Falls Chronicles.

What an exciting twist! Waking up to find out you are now one of the things you hate most in life. This author truly did Christina justice and kept her defiantly badass personality intact. Her new mentor also is exhibiting more of himself, which makes me hope he remains safe. Probably one of my favorite books in this series! All my reviews are always voluntarily written.

The series continues to be of a good standard. I'm enjoying the narratives of different characters. There was not much action, however that was right for the story.

This is Arcadia Falls Series book seven. This book is about Christina, who is also a vampire hunter, who speciality has been knives. During the last fight she had been kidnapped and turned. She wakes up at their friend Anthony's home, as something she hates. This book shows the emotions behind the new life, plus the fight she must handle daily to stay in control. I really liked that all her friends supported her during this struggle, and since two are half vampires, they understand her anxiety. I did not like the fact that the book was only 80% about this story, and the remainder was about her new books. I can understand a few pages but, she did two new books. That made me not want to buy them, just on principle. There are no fight scenes in this book. It is all about the struggle she undergoes to be able to rejoin her team again. I was fine with that, and the story, just not the heavy handed sales pitch.

This was the natural progression for this series. Christina was turned at the end of the previous book so it was nice to see her journey through this new phase of her life. Anthony is the ever patient mentor and you can see the bond forming between them.

I like that Jennifer has taken the time to fill in the blanks with Christina's character development. I find that more often than not, when major events happen to side characters in other books, the story behind it is generally left out.

I can't wait to start reading what happens next!

I was gifted a copy of this in exchange for an honest review.

ugh thanks for making this so short and leaving me wanting for more, anyways it was good reading how Cristina went through the transformation and somehow mastered it though I was really rooting for her when she sneaked out and was returning home but that guy had to come and messed it up but anyways it was a good thing that she tamed her bloodlust and was able to see her friends and you almost mad me cry in public with the damn letters and what. joyous day when it was known that she was from Anthony's bloodline ..... I can't wait to read the 8th one

Another great short story by Jennifer! I have to admit, I wasn't all that excited to read Christina's POV after her change. But I actually really enjoyed it. The detail she used to describe her transitioning to a "new" life was good. Also, I liked reading more about Anthony and am so glad Christina went with him to learn how to be a good vamp. It ended before I was ready to let them go. I really enjoyed watching her friendship flourish with Anthony. Next up, reading from Alice's POV.

Maybe Gavin will find his love in Greece. I feel so bad for him. He needs some one :)
