This will be my first time reading something by this author so I'm pretty keen to see how this story unfolds..I love anything mafia related so when I saw this doing the rounds I had to jump on it..
LIES: Takes us straight into a date from hell which had me giggling with the thoughts racing through Josh's head..But even though he was on the most sucky date in history there was one good thing that came out of it, he was rescued by Gabriella who was at the club with her sister..
"I see you don't suffer from coulrophobia." came a soft whisper from my right.
"What?" I asked
"The fear of clowns," She stated
"Coulrophobia."
" I was referring to your date. She kinda resembles a clown."
I could no longer hold back my own smile "I fucking hate clowns.
"So if you don't mind me asking, how did you get stuck with Lipstick Lizard over there.
I had never been on a date where I felt like I needed a vacation only two hours in. ~ Josh
But that one date from hell led him straight to Gabby
It felt like no sooner had I started this and I had finsihed it, I loved the story line, the main characters, you name it I loved it BUT it just left me wanting more, I wanted to be lost within this book longer than I was, I didn't want it to end, loved the authors writing style, the humour, strong characters, sexy steamy scenes were hot..
She gave me the peace I needed to stay grounded.
Even though this was my first experience reading anything by this author it won't be the last because I'm defnitely going to jump on the next book in this series, plus she has such a knack of drawing you into her web of story telling that you just don't want to leave..
ONE LAST DANGEROUS MISSION
I loved the inside look we got into Josh's job with trying to bring down a notorious sex, drug trafficking ring, the danger element that came with his job, trying to juggle outside influences and trying to keep gabby safe from the bad guys that he was infiltrating..

There are a few twists that were cleverly placed that even I didn't see coming and the ending WOW that ending will make you want to stalk the authors ass it's a whammy!!

Wanting one last night out before he has to go deep into the Mafia, he and his best buddy gets a date and go to hang out at a club. But when his date shows up she's not the same put together woman he saw in a coffee shop, she's a loud, makeup painted on, annoyance.
The same night Gabby's sister has dragged her out to the club to let lose but she just wants to be home relaxing. When she see's Josh attempting to get away from the clingy girl by his side she's curious about him. And when he comes over near her at the bar she can't help starting a conversation with him. A conversation that leads to a kiss and then Gabby leaving without giving Josh her name. After that kiss Josh isn't letting her get away easily and tracks her down. But he's starting his assignment and relationships are hard to keep while undercover. Can Gabby and Josh make it work, especially when more dangers and secrets come out?
This was my first book by C.A Harms but it certainly won't be my last. Not only did I really enjoy her writing but I need to get the conclusion to Gabby and Josh's story as soon as possible! There was a lot of shit happening in this book and the struggle that Gabby and Josh were having trying to keep their relationship together while he wasn't around a lot was so intriguing. I really want to see them make it work but right now everything isa big mystery so I hope the second book is out soon.
I don't really want to say too much about this book and give anything away but I can say that I really liked it. There were twists thrown into the story that I so did not see coming. After the first one i was on edge the whole rest of the book because I knew anything could happen and I was both nervous and excited to see what would be thrown in next. The twists and overall craziness is what made me love the story and I think the next book will be even better.
Bottom line, everyone needs to read this book when it comes out. There was romance, intrigue, crime, and smexy times - what else could you want from a book?!?

5 "GIVE ME MORE AGENT SEXY" STARS
OMG THAT FREAKING ENDING!!! I need more Agent Sexy Josh right now! This book is part of a series and ended on a cliffhanger but I loved every minute of it. There are twists and turns that went places I did not think in a million years it would go. I can't wait for the next book. This author is new to me but is well on my radar now!
It starts out with a prologue of a bad situation letting you know that Josh was undercover and his cover was blown. It then takes you to what led up to the that particular situation. How he met and fell in love with Gaby. Josh was hot and a perfect gentleman until you got him in the bedroom then he turned vulgar and was an excellent dirty talker. He is right up there in my Alpha BBF's! Gaby fast became one of my favorite heroines. She is confident and says exactly what she is thinking. She doesn't put up with shit or let anyone get anything over on her. They are perfect for each other.
I can't wait to see where this series goes. The only thing I wish was the author would have delved more into the time Josh was undercover and darken up the story a little bit. I want details. I also would have liked to have more story of the months Josh & Gaby were together. More lines of their romance and sexy times. Normally that would have me taking off stars, but this story was way too good. Best erotic romantic suspense I've read in a while.

This was my first CA Harms read but will not be my last. The book starts off with a bang and keeps you sucked in from then to the end. The mix of steamy scenes, suspenseful drama and comedic relief were unparalleled. I absolutely loved the chemistry between Josh and Gabi and from the moment they met at the bar when Josh was on the date from hell with the clown (LOL!) and Gabriella was dragged along with her slightly immature and irresponsible younger sister, I knew I'd love the two of them together. I highly recommend this read to everyone- whether you like a sexy love story, a suspenseful and intriguing romance mixed with action, or a lighthearted and comedic romance, there is something in this story for everyone. Books like that do not come along every day and with that I will say, definitely 5 stars, definitely loved it and definitely will be reading more CA Harms books in the future. Amazing read! ~ Kellie

I am a such a fan of CA's that I couldn't wait to read the first book in her new series. Lies is a roller coaster ride with passion and danger and I couldn't put it down until the very end wanting more.
Josh is an FBI agent on his way undercover for a very important case when he meets Gabby. It's a bit of insta-love which I LOVE. They fall hard for each other. I mean hard. Hard enough that Josh struggles with this case knowing that it could end up hurting Gabby if things go bad. There's also the possibility that he could have to do some unsavory things. Which holy hell. He does. Which breaks Gabby. Shatters her. Then just when she thinks it couldn't get worse, it does. I am dying to see what happens next.
I give Lies 5 hearts!

This author certainly knows how to captivate her readers. Each book I've read by this author I find myself loving even more than the previous book. This book is no exception. It's my favourite so far.
FBI Agent Joshua Phoenix is about to go undercover with the Russian Mafia. The night before he leaves he finds himself in a club where he meets Gabby. Although relationships aren't good if your about to go undercover Joshua can't forget Gabby. Can they make it work?
Brilliant storyline with twists and turns that I certainly didn't see coming. I loved the characters.
Be warned there's a cliffhanger so I'm hoping we don't have to wait too long for book two.

JOSIE'S 4.5 STAR REVIEW
I am a huge fan of C.A. Harms. There has not been a book from this author that I have not loved, so naturally when I got the opportunity to read Lies, I jumped right in. Lies is a quick read about 147 pages, but do not let that stop you from picking this up. This author throws so much into this story that it will leave you jumping in your seat. Only C.A. Harms can turn a short read into an emotional roller coaster ride that had me wanting to throw my Kindle all the while falling in love. I love how the author wrote this story. We get some well developed and strong characters with just the right amount of humor, drama, danger and angst.
I started reading the first page and I wanted to scream at this author, why you ask? Read it and you will see what I am talking about. Gabby and Josh meet while Josh is on a date that’s gone terribly wrong and Gabby rescues him from this date. The woman is feisty, strong and a go getter and I absolutely fell in love with her. Josh starts his first real major case while starting a relationship with Gabby. Josh is immediately taken with Gabby and is determined to make things work.
Josh’s job is a dangerous one, he is undercover trying to bring down a very powerful mafia ring that is known for drugs, arms and human trafficking. Being undercover and having to do things to become accepted will torment him. The only saving grace is his relationship with Gabby, but that too will have its woes. Josh’s conflict between his very dangerous job and his relationship with Gabby is felt in every page. Gabby keeps Josh grounded, she is his peace after spending so much working undercover, and he is able to be just Josh when he is with her.
I loved the chemistry and connection between Gabby and Josh. The communication and dialogue between the characters felt natural. You can see and feel the love between them, and you can also see where things start to change. Gabby’s starts off so strong, she accepts Josh’s career, but slowly she begins to see that she is changing and becoming a woman she does not like. She understands Josh has an important job, but she feels that he is putting her last. She starts to see a change in Josh and notices he is shutting her out. Gabby has to decide just how much she is willing to give for a man who is not willing to put her first. Josh will have to do the unthinkable to save his life and the woman he loves, but that one thing will start a chain of catastrophic events that will alter the case and his relationship with Gabby. There are so many twists and OMG moments with this book that it left me wanting more and more. Will Gabby and Josh love survive? This book is one every fan of this author will want to pick up, and one ride you won’t be sorry you got on.

Im telling you ladies its been a couple hard days of reading ARC’s and this one is no different. I have people kidnapped and being held hostage until next year, surprising MC prospects through the holidays until next year, folks buried in shallow graves until next year and now … this … Joshua Phoenix and his boys along with Ashley and Gabriella Shannon.
Joshua Phoenix is going undercover just as he meets Gabby. The girl has taken his heart into a vice. The job used to be number one but now things have changed. Leo Markovich had to be stopped but before he had to be put in the ground, they needed him to lead them to the big boss; Roman. Josh and his partner Greyson are put to the test doing things they never thought they would be forced to do. If his chance encounter with Gabby would have come just a day earlier, he would have declined this job. Now there is no turning back. He just hopes he can survive this with his life and if he does with his soul intact.
Gabriella Shannon is a respected Real Estate Agent and works hard. Her sass and her determination has gotten her where she wants to be. Her life is boring but in that one moment she took a chance. Now she is consumed with a man who is dangerous not only in what he does but more so to her heart and her existence.
Decisions are made that destroy. Lies are strewn in horrific webs and the dark is closing in. There are more secondary characters on these pages that I feel like will be key players down the line but we don’t know that yet. This is me assuming. Gabby’s other sister Brooklyn lives with her and is a spoiled brat in my opinion but there has to be something to that as we continue to move through the series. Frank is Joshua’s boss and has heavy investments into Leo and Roman. As much as the cliffhanger completely sucks (in a good way but dang another stringing me along) there is a revelation that will peek your interest as well near the end of the book along with numerous tense moments.
This is a great story and one I will continue to anxiously await the next releases. I love some mafia and murder … for sure love me some hot ass FBI agents. I cant wait to read on. There is much more suffering to be dealt out.

What's better than a charismatic, and drop-dead gorgeous FBI agent? One that goes undercover with the Russian mafia to crack the case of the century. I was thrust into an entirely whole new world with Lies. It was suspenseful, intense, and heartbreaking all at the same time. I read the entire book in one night. I didn't want to put it down. It was one of those books for me that I had to read from the first page to the last. A satisfying story to fall into.
We meet Joshua in the very beginning of the book he's in a bad situation, and we learn he's just been made as his undercover status with the Russian mafia is no longer a secret. He's stuffed in a trunk, and my only guess is he's on his way to being fitted for cement shoes. The prologue is a pretty descriptive, and then we go back in time to the night; he meets Gabby. You see Josh just signed up for a dangerous assignment. Meeting a gorgeous, and the intriguing woman was not at all what he planned. The timing is terrible, but there's just something about her that he can't let go of. Starting a relationship with her is his only option, protecting her his number-one mission. This was a quick read, and while I was reading I was trying to form all the possible outcomes in my head. I have to tell you, the end shocked me. As a warning, it includes a cliffhanger, and I was a little upset, but I think that's what it was meant to do, so I can appreciate the way the story unfolded.
I did love Josh and Gabby together. They worked so hard to be in each other's lives, and when they were it was sweet, and passionate between them. I enjoyed watching them miss one another between, and when they were at odds, the sparks flew. Their romance seemed to have all those ups and downs in a normal relationship, but with a lot more pressure on them to work things out. They had plenty of reasons to be together, and even more not to be, but they had that undeniable attraction that they weren't prepared to walk away from.
If you are looking for a fast paced, intense, and romantic read I would recommend this one. There are a lot of surprises, ones that will knock you off your feet. This one will be well worth your time.
We meet Joshua in the very beginning of the book he's in a bad situation, and we learn he's just been made as his undercover status with the Russian mafia is no longer a secret. He's stuffed in a trunk, and my only guess is he's on his way to being fitted for cement shoes. The prologue is a pretty descriptive, and then we go back in time to the night; he meets Gabby. You see Josh just signed up for a dangerous assignment. Meeting a gorgeous, and the intriguing woman was not at all what he planned. The timing is terrible, but there's just something about her that he can't let go of. Starting a relationship with her is his only option, protecting her his number-one mission. It is hard enough to begin a relationship when the two people have busy lives, it is even harder when one of them is an undercover FBI agent and goes on assignment right after meeting that special someone. I really felt for Josh because he finds Gabby right before starting his undercover assignment. He doesn’t want to lose Gabby by being unavailable but at the same time he knows that he will be gone for long periods of time. Is he selfish? Honestly I don’t think he was trying to be, when you find that special someone you don’t want to walk away.
Gabby I have a tiny issue with. Overall I liked her sassiness and how she spoke her mind. My issue was that she knew from the start that Josh was an FBI agent; anyone with half a brain could understand that there will be times that a case is unfortunately priority over personal time. I’d hate to see if she was a military wife cause honestly if she was like this with an FBI agent I would hate to see how she was during a deployment. I’m sorry that is just a hot topic for me, don’t start a relationship when you can’t handle being apart.

It’s not a throw your kindle in anger type cliffhanger, it’s more like an “oh shit it’s about to get good” type of cliffhanger. C.A. Harms is impressing me more and more with her writing. Each book I have read of hers has improved and I have enjoyed more and more. I am anxiously looking forward to not just the next book but more from this author as well.

Good story and main characters but I really hated the stuff Josh and Aubrey and the others did undercover. It is upsetting to think of government agents being paid to bring down these monsters by doing drugs, whoring themselves out, being abused, and beating and killing others. Even the ones that do not participate themselves stand by and watch it happening. Makes me really sad that so many sick people are out there. I know someone has to do the job, but I don't know how anyone could without losing a piece of their very soul.
Overall, depressing.
Also, the end was a bit confusing to me. When Mike tells Josh "He is squealing like a pig", I thought he meant Leo..that Leo was in custody but then it seems like he is NOT. It also implied that all 3 guys would have to fake their deaths to flush out Roman,

CA Harms has a knack for writing a story. It just flows effortlessly and always manages to pull me in so that I feel the story she’s telling. My emotions were all over the scale with this one! I will definitely be recommending it to my friends!
Branching out to the romantic suspense genre was definitely a great decision for Harms…it was absolutely amazing! Lots of suspense and it keeps you on the edge wondering what will come next.
Right from the beginning, I loved Josh and Gabby. They are both so down to earth and actually seem like 2 people I would hang out with if I actually knew them. They hit it off right when they first meet but Josh’s job will cause some challenges to their relationship. As the story went on, I kept getting more and more anxious to know how it would end, would they solve the case, would Josh and Gabby get their HEA…I still don’t know all of those answers because this one ends in a cliffhanger! Argh! So I’ll just sit over here and patiently wait for the next book in the series…oh, that’s right, I have no patience, lol!

Ok first I have to say, if it has to end in a freaking CLIFFHANGER!!!!!, at least it is writing by the fabulous CA Harms. Josh is the manly but loveable FBI agent a girl can really fall in love with. He would have never taken this assignment if he had met Gabby first. Just when he has found her, he has to let her go.
She isn't one to party or sleep around. When she does something so out of character, Gabby knows there is something there. Can she let Josh's job take precedence over their relationship? Or, will she lose him forever.
You want me to say more right.....well I can't, because it is a cliffhanger!!!! Why do you do this to me!!!!???? Now we have to wait......if you haven't guessed, I hate cliffhangers. I want my HEAs but for CA, I will try to be patient, because even if it was a CH......I loved it.

WOW!! Why would I even think this book would be something I wouldn't like? Because I'm dumb! CA Harms has done it again! I'm in love with this book!
This book was great from the beginning. It starts fast and it ends fast. But of course CA gives us a damn cliff. I know they are coming but I never know how bad they are gonna be and this one is killing me.
Every character in this book is a character that you connect with.. I think the only character I wanted to punch was Brooke. I disliked her a lot. She was annoying all the time. Other than that I loved Josh he warmed my heart and I loved Gabby! This is a must read for everyone.

And my twentieth reading of the year, goes to that amazing book, which made me extremely interested in the plot from beginning to end.
The story is very engaging, and I swore that the story would be terrible, with an uninteresting plot, but luckily it was the opposite of it all !! And those twists in the final chapters? OH MY GOD!!!
I'm still trying to process all the feelings that I'm feeling right now.

Josh is dead? I refuse to believe that.
I think that he’s alive, and he’s acting like he’s dead for everyone’s safety.

Wow, the story immediately had me and kept me on edge until......cliffhanger! What??!! I lost sleep, got connected to the main characters only to be hung out to dry. I call foul. Hey, CA, I would have bought the next book anyway but this is frustrating.

At this point, I'd like to say I'm a C.A. Harms fan. I know her writing style, and I know that I can go into one of her books and get just enough emotion to pull me through the pages. Generally, the characters are well-rounded and I can be sucked into the book for a little while, sometimes needing a break.
This was a C.A. Harms I hadn't experienced yet. From the prologue to the double-cliff at the end, I was completely engrossed in Gabby and Josh's story. Now, I'm not sure if it's her writing that's grown, or if she's just really rockin' the new adult-romantic suspense theme, or maybe she's just a talented serial-er (and that's big for me to say, because I don't typically care for serials), but this book just did it for me. Part of me thinks that the serial-ish aspect works, though, because these books (at least this first one) is a bit longer than a typical novella, but is still shorter than a full-on novel that generally comes in at 80k words. It almost feels like a greatly written duology/trilogy (I have no clue how many books will be in this).
We start out with Josh eyeing a pretty girl -- only to find out she's going to be the date from hell. He's saved by a stranger, who all he knows is her name and the feel of her lips -- until the two run into one another afterward.
Josh was very much the career detective. He loved his work. He loved the chase, the thrill, the puzzle... He enjoyed the undercover parts too. His work was the very top of his list -- until he met Gabby.
Gabby was so much fun! She was lippy but with a smile, sassy but with a wink... She was a doll to read about. I very much enjoyed her character. I liked that Josh found peace in her, and while he can't tell her much about his day, she is his calm.
As for side characters, Josh's partners Grey and Mike were a hoot to read. I really, really liked Grey. I liked how he stood up for his boy when the time really counted (even though he was a manwhore in every other scene). Another side character with lots of page time would be Gabby's little sister, Brook -- who is super overprotective and at times probably takes it a little too far.
I loved that this part of their story spans 6 months -- it makes the chemistry and romance feel real; these two characters came off as extremely real and normal and people who you would be neighbors with, and I appreciate that when reading a story. That said, my heart broke with Gabby's at the end... Heck, my heart broke with Josh a few times at the end.
And CHAOS doesn't release until "2016". Ok, I know, that's literally as few as 26 days away, but really, we have to wait for more?!
Hands down, my favorite showing of C.A. Harms's yet. Josh and Gabby, and their posse, are so fun to read about but Josh and Gabby's story has to be finished first. So how many books are we spanning?? And then when they're done, do we start to see others settle?? Time will tell...

OMG, I love this!!!!
Joshua Phoenix is FBI and being in a relationship isn’t exactly conducive to the undercover work that he has to participate in but he can’t give Gabby up and because of that he may just have put her right in the firing line.
A chance meeting came one day too late for Josh, because the role he is currently embroiled in would have most definitely been shelved if he had met Gabby before agreeing to participate. Dealing with the criminals that he does, he knows full well that he has to keep up his pretence, he has to build his cover and starting a new relationship isn’t the best way to achieve that but there is something about Gabby and her smart mouth that just keeps him coming back for more.
Josh and the team are gunning for Leo but he is only the first rung of the ladder – Roman is the man they really want and they know that Leo is the man to serve him up or at least that is the plan but what they want and what they get aren’t necessarily the same thing.
Gabby is a n Estate Agent and she is darn good at her job but she lives to work at the minute, not the other way round, so a spur of the moment decision and a chance encounter and she has a sexy as sin man on her mind 24/7.
The things that Josh and his partner Greyson have to undertake are difficult and at one point it hits a little close to home. No, I am not going to tell you what exactly I mean by that, you will see what I mean when you read it. My jaw hit the floor!!
Some of the scenario’s had me on the edge of my seat. Some of the events that take place were devastating, they were so destructive but I couldn’t help but think that some of the guys involved might not all be pulling in the same direction… but then again that might just be me reading too much into some of the events.
I loved the danger, the mystery, the mafia and their infiltration, the FBI and they ability to make people disappear, it was just all so deliciously alluring! But I loved the connection between Josh and Gabby, the romance, the chemistry and the raw emotion, he had the ability to break her heart but he wasn’t far behind, he had fallen for her hook, line and sinker but would he live to tell her so or would it all be snatched away?
Oh and don’t get me started with the whole situation going on with Gabby’s sister and her job … really it was all so enthralling - do you get the picture that I was hooked yet?
The ending well it was a cliff-hanger of the highest magnitude and while I am not particularly a fan of being left hanging, for this I will make an exception because I have all sorts of mad theories trampling around in my brain at the minute and I think it may take a while for them to calm down.

Oh I truly enjoyed this new story from CA Harms. Its full of suspense, romance, action and OMG—so hot sexual action that it is DELISH!!
Josh Phoenix, FBI agent gets a new assignment to go undercover to infiltrate the Russian mob and as he did this, he met this wonderful woman named Gabriella Shannon whom he met by accident when he wasn’t undercover. He met her when he and his friend were out on a date and he saw her across the room while he was on a date from hell. He went over to the bar to get away from a date and ran into Gabby. They started a conversation, one thing led to another and they ended up sharing a blistering kiss. Josh knew this was his dream woman and he needed her bad. But being in a relationship while undercover isn’t the best thing to do… but this woman is the air he needs to breathe and he just needs her.
Gabriella Shannon is a well-known real estate agent and she works hard, is loved and when she meets Josh, the earth moved for her. She found things he said to be odd and at times caught him in lies but she had to give him chances because she loved him. Love, weird that found herself in love with him but love all the same. He told her he was a police officer after one of the last lies she caught him in and his job was dangerous but she has to believe him and have hope.
There are so many twists and turns in this story—including the fact that it involves Gabriella sister, Brooklyn. Deceptions, Lies, Heartbreaking moments where you don’t know whom to believe –I didn’t know what was going on which is why this story was so emotionally twisted from 45% on. You can feel how much Josh loves Gabriella and how he fought to do everything he can to wrap up this investigation but he was being dragged back in—and you didn’t know why he was or whom to trust. There are secondary characters that I wonder if they are good guys or bad--Frank is Joshua’s boss and has heavy investments into Leo and Roman. Oh how I loved this mafia story—and how my heart broke for Josh and Gabby. I don’t know what is going on and I AM DYING already for book 2. Please say we won’t have to wait long for book 2. It ended on a cliffhanger and oh MY what a cliffhanger. I was literally screaming at my kindle when I read it. Like I mentioned, you don’t know who to trust and what their end game here but there is evil afoot and the players are in a chess game. One wrong move and……

I was extremely excited to be able to receive an early copy of this book as I love law enforcement books and I love mafia books and this was a perfect blend of the two.
FBI Agent Joshua Pheonix has just volunteered for an extremely dangerous undercover operation that will thrust him into the high powered world of guns, drugs and the mafia. This operation is life or death and he will need to be on his toes not to screw this up. Having one last night out of drinks before he starts his undercover operation, he meets and falls for the charming Gabby after a hilarious date from hell set up by his partner. Had he met her earlier, he would definitely not have signed up for such a dangerous operation and now he has to balance the two lives he has set up while trying to keep her out of danger.
As you can imagine this book is filled with action, suspense, romance and drama.

FBI Agent Joshua Pheonix has just volunteered for an extremely dangerous undercover operation that will thrust him into the high powered world of guns, drugs and the mafia. This operation is life or death and he will need to be on his toes not to screw this up. Having one last night out of drinks before he starts his undercover operation, he meets and falls for the charming Gabby after a hilarious date from hell set up by his partner. Had he met her earlier, he would definitely not have signed up for such a dangerous operation and now he has to balance the two lives he has set up while trying to keep her out of danger.
As you can imagine this book is filled with action, suspense, romance and drama.

When I originally prepared to read this book, I had gone and read some reviews that were on both Amazon and Goodreads and saw that they were a mixed bag of both good and - not so good. Now, I don't let the reviews of others sway me in any direction, but I do like to see what others opinions are, especially on the characters. I was somewhat surprised on what readers thought of Gabby.
That being said. I really LIKED Gabby. Yes, she had a rough time with the constraints and inconsistency of Josh's job. That's a normal reaction to a fledgling relationship. Considering what they were both going through in such a short matter of time, I would have been more concerned if she acted blase. Josh was also very likable. He was a well balanced mix of both Alpha and sensitive soul. His compassion for both Gabby and his job is commendable. Especially how he handled some of the more intense moments.
This is my confession: Prepare yourself for one heck of a ride.

I thought Josh was a very sweet man, “you’re a cuddler,” Josh whispered, and I smiled. “I slept exceptionally well with you pressed against me. Better than I have in a long time.” Generally men don't like to go shopping with their women, but Josh he has no problem if it has to do with undergarments, “I like the red ones,” Josh said before turning back toward the display of lingerie. “Oh, and this color. Is that teal?” He lifted up the pair of panties and held them out before him. I smiled as a younger guy three feet away ducked his head in embarrassment. “Now these would look effing amazing on you. Damn, baby.” Josh’s eyes gleamed in excitement as he looked up at me. “I may go broke if you keep bringing me to places like these.” I wasn't expecting that cliffhanger, I was surprised in all the books I've read by Harms there hasn't once been a.cliffhanger I'm hoping book two comes out fast.

O.M.G.!! What a sensational romantic suspense must read, though I wanted to scream at the end with the major cliffhanger! LOL But, this incredible page turner was so awesome that I can't wait for the next book, but I will! ... "Lies" was the first book I've ever read by Ms. Harms, but it definitely won't be my last! A riveting, edge of your seat story-line with twists and turns that will keep the reader engaged. If it weren’t for his job in the FBI, Josh would be my perfect panty-melting hot book boyfriend!
I never write recaps or spoilers, but I will say the characters are well developed, have great dialogue and especially the witty banter & romantic scenes between the H/h. A different story with great descriptions that pulled me right in, so that I didn't want to stop reading when my real life got in the way! LOL (I was given an advanced reader copy in exchange for an honest review, and I really did love this and highly recommend it to readers of any genre of fiction!

This book is so suspenceful you won't want to put it down. You will be left wanting more. There are so many twist and turns that you head will spin and you will become a detective trying to cypher through the pages to work out who. Is the bad guy. You will totally be shocked as a new twist comes it to play.
I loved every page, Josh and Gabbie are so perfect together that, it make this book one hot and sexy read. You will love Josh and adore Gabbie and you just hope that they find their happy after.
C.A. Harms has such away of writing a story that it will stay with you for days.
