Se me hizo muy interesante la historia de esta mujer y su padre. Lo unico que aveces me confundia era como contaba la historia. Pasaba de un recuerdo a otro sin aviso.

I found the story telling of a woman and her estranged father very interesting. Some parts were hard to follow since flashbacks and memories would break into the next paragraph. For example, she would be talking about being in New York doing something and then the next paragraph she's back in Chicago with her whole family estranged father included.

Una vida difícil, sujeta a un hombre indómito, feraz, corajudo, aun cuando pareciera que verdaderamente ama a sus hijos. Sin embargo, la escritura de Venegas es plana e intrascendente; no encuentro verdadero talento literario.
