Celia Thomas should be living a charmed life; as the niece of Hollywood's current it guy, whose whole family is on the payroll, she doesn't have to worry about money or future job prospects. Except maybe she doesn't want to go into the family business. Although with her marks being what they are, there's a chance she won't even finish her year at The Rosewood Academy for Academic Excellence, let alone find her perfect career. After years of just skating by, she's now flunking everything and the dean isn't going to stand for it for much longer.
At least her romantic prospects are looking up as things start to heat up in the kitchen with Shane, her student supervisor. Then, Evan Jenkins, or Jenks--another long-time crush--starts showing interest. Two guys; what a problem to have! But Celia knows she needs to focus on her marks because getting the boot from Rosewood will kill all her chances at romance and finding a happily ever after. Knowing she can't do it on her own, Celia hires a tutor, but in many ways that just complicates things even more.
It seems the only things she can count on are her friends: her Rosewood girls and the new tutor who seems so worldly and knows a lot more than just algebra and history. But can the girl who seems to have everything really have it all?
Turning the Page is the ninth installment of The Rosewoods, an exciting Young Adult series for readers who love fun, flirty love stories.
A survivor of adolescence, Katrina Abbott loves writing about teens: best friends, cute boys, kissing, drama. Her main vice is romance, but she's been known to succumb to the occasional chocolate binge. She may or may not live in California with her husband, kids and several cats.
this was such a syrupy white girl story. Takes place at private girls school. Celia, avid reader of romance novels, is failing most of her classes; gets tutor, male, James. She is coming into herself. Gfriend's all have boyfriends. Most boys find her exotic because of mixed race heritage and blue eyes. Kitchen supervisor, Shane, pulls her into his web by kissing her; as does fellow athlete, Jenks. She discovered they were not her 'happily ever after'...James, wheelchair bound tutor is.

This book was enjoyable and addictive. Well written and lovable characters. Actually this whole Rosewoods series is well written and so addictive. I read them all one after the other.
Loved the story,I’m here for the happy ever after stuff, sweet romance novel without the sexual explicitness. This reminded me of the old fashion dating scene.
I enjoyed reading this story. We get to know Celia better as we follow her. You will have to read this book to find out if she figures out what she really wants and what she chooses to focus on.
Another winner for Katrina Abbott! I love this series...especially how each of the girls at Rosewoods Academy gets her own time to shine. This one is Celia's story. She's always struggled with school and with knowing her path in general. She's always had a "fall-back" plan, so she never really applied herself to school the way she should have. She'd rather spend her time playing sports or reading a good romance novel. (I can totally relate!). She's never had a real boyfriend, so she lives vicariously thru her books. But things have hit a critical point at Rosewoods and the dean is threatening to kick her out unless she can bring up her grades. As much as her friends have tried to help her, it just hasn't worked. So she's going to bite the bullet and get a tutor. So right at the time she gets this super strict tutor, she has two hot guys who want to spend time with her. So now how's she going to prioritize her time? She knows what she needs to do, but what she wants in finally happening. What's a girl to do? Especially, when the tutor is completely different than she expects. This was such a heartwarming story. But of course, filled with high school girl drama and emotional scenes. Completely loved the outcome!
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh my feeeeeeeels. Kat killed me with this book. Fast paced, and oh so entertaining, this is one of my favourites of the series (yes, I might say it every time but I can't get enough of these books) There so many things I'm sure most of us can relate to and yet, the plot is impeccably unique and satisfyingly predictable (you get exactly what you want, if not better, but not in the way you expect). I'm loving that we get to know all the characters from different perspectives and it's fun to weave all the stories together! Again, Kat's books are recommended for everyone who wants a small guilty pleasure that will leave them smiling, or crying, or both before they have to go back doing whatever. I can't wait for the next instalment of the series and see what is in store for Brooklyn!
I thought the first book in this series was more than good, and the second was even better. But now I'm hooked totally and this is so well written and such a good story that one just have to love it. Thanks for a great series!
I think I liked Celia's story almost as much as Brooklyn's ongoing saga. I guessed who she would end up with and the twist. Maybe I've read too many romance books myself to see it coming? =p
