A very cute little book that works great as a short introduction. I like the fact that it discussed not only eras, styles, and famous composers, but also conductors, performers, and several things surrounding the classical world like radio stations, famous orchestras, and more.
it's written lightly with fun and a little humor which is nice and friendly for beginners in the classical world, but I was also surprised to learn about things I had no idea of, like the great performance of the two legendary violin players, Stéphane Grappelli and Yehudi Menuhin, which was a delight to discover.
