I wasn't ready! I still don't think I'm ready. Am I a prude for ewwing at some of the shit I read? Ok, I own it. I'm clearly not about this life, but this was a well-written, highly erotic, borderline downright nasty quickie with a slight plot twist at the end.
You never know what to expect from one installment to the next, so I appreciate that if nothing more. I love unpredictability in a serial. This story features m/f/f action, so if you ain't down, be warned. But if you're open-minded and wanna read some hot nasty loving, then yeah, it's worth it.

I think I need to cool down, I think I need a cold shower, I think I need therapy.
Its been ages since I read such an erotic FULL ON "do anything, do everything, who cares if you like it that way" in the bedroom, kind of book.
And boy oh boy, wasn't it written well.
I don't mind a good sexy number now and again as long as its written with a story, and its not just sex for sex sake, ya know?
The main male character came across dominant, and after all, he wanted to be the dominant one in the bedroom too, we could see how he was when typing via the PC searching for his sex partner who happened to be Gabby's profile he came upon. We read how he manipulated her into paying full attention on the website, having her total commitment and attention while speaking online.
Her profile said she wasn't really into F/F so when that part was written I must have missed something, maybe she changed her mind?
The f/f bit was nicely written and well written, tasteful.
Gabby just wanted sex. That's it.
Jake wanted to give hot sex.
he found his bed partner.
Jake came across hot and lush. Gabby certainly thought so.
Personally, this is a short novel, you can read this definitely in one sitting.
Blame the hot cheeks you are going to get and the heated tension on the menopause, that's what I did.
This made a change for me and the first book I have read by Harper Miller. Its not my usual genre, but this one I did enjoy.

Cute, fast, cheesy, and sweet
This novelette delivers exactly what it promises- a kinky short. I actually did not expect real character development, but I was wrong. Yes, the main character sounds like he's writing to Penthouse Forum, but I think that's half the fun. Plus, I like that the h is not some confused nubile virgin. Nope, she's knows what she wants, is in her 30's, and is very self-assured. That's a great change from most stories.

Harper delivers Hot and Sexy once more!!
i must say i love these short stories i read this one while drinking a cup of tea because i refused to put it down, i loved all of the series these book sure know how to make a girl hot phew (fans self) may want to bring fresh knickers ! brilliant book wish there was more guess i have to wait for the next one would Sargen Jake be my book boyfriend ? he'll yes ya can throw in the ladies too i don't mind sharing :)

This is the third book in the series. Each book is a fully compact quick read. They are all standalones. These are ideal quickies for bedtime.
After serving in the Marines for twenty years Jake is on his way back to New York. Through a web site he has set up a meeting with a woman called Gabrielle. As they've chatted on the computer the attraction is building.
This is a well written hot and sexy story. I really enjoyed it. Looking forward to reading more from this author.

Let me be honest and just say that I'm a total Harper Miller STAN. I keep swearing off of romance, except when my faves put something out and I have to read it cause... you know... good books.
Entwined is the third installment in the KinkyConnect chronicles. The first two books SIZZLED and I didn't think Harper could outdo Renewed. That's probably still my favorite novelette, just because I connected so well with the characters, but Entwined had an extra element. And errr, person.
Jake is a down to earth character that I identified and felt for right away. As a military brat, I'm intrigued by the idea of a soldier coming home, having served his country and looking for a little R&R and reward.
I love a strong, no nonsense but still feminine and vulnerable female character. Gabrielle is a spitfire on sight. She's no shrinking violet--her style is bold and eclectic and her profile pops and she hates being called 'sugar'. Probably like Jake, I smiled at the text tete-a-tete between them, knowing full well that he would wear her down. By the time Jake was fully out of the service and returning home, the anticipation of the first meeting between them is palpable.
The surprise, once they meet in the hotel room, was more than pleasantly spicy. This wasn't my first threesome but I could. not. stop. reading. Miller makes writing great sex scenes look easy (I know from experience that they are not), flowing from one element or scene to another, making each person's experience simultaneously full.
I love that these stories are mainly beginnings... I love beginnings. Two people dancing around each other, each succumbing to mutual desire, all happening on a website for folks who like things a little more exciting than the norm.
If you've read any of the KinkyConnect books and have found the epilogues on the website, then you'll know how this book went from four to five stars. I LOVED LOVED LOVED the epilogue.... so well done.
Already looking forward to the next novelette. These books are the perfect length with so much packed into the pages, plus added content (more story, yay!). If you love yourself some kink and especially if you're into threesomes and lesbian playtime, you're going to want to pick up Entwined......and then pick up the rest of Harper's books.

This was one sexy hot novelette by Harper Miller. Jake is coming home from the military and decides to hook up with Gabrielle the woman he's been chatting with on an internet dating site. She's super spicy and he's super alpha with a side of kink.These characters were super sexy, the love scenes were smoking hot along with a little bit of humor mixed in. If you enjoy a short and sexy read this is the book for you. I loved both characters and I really really wanted to know where their story goes. An if you enjoy a little menage action this has to be one of the hottest scenes I've read.

When Harper first starting promoting this book and the subject matter I was a little turned off. (I am little selfish with my man so sharing isn’t an option) But to each their own. I will say don’t let the subject matter detour you from clicking this book there is a twist that will have you rereading the book just for clues you may have missed along the way.
The first page of this book let me be honest did make me cringe a little because of all the “guy” talk but once you get pass that JT is very funny and how he refers to finally releasing his “tension” is pretty funny. One thing that this book does well is using pop culture, and social references in the book which I loved. JT is finally released from the Marine Corp and on the hunt for some fun. Trying to connect with others who enjoy his alternative lifestyle isn’t easy so he joins kinky singles connect (sound familiar?) There he meets Gabrielle. Their instant messages are funny and full of heat. If anyone has ever online dated these messages and the whole process will sound vaguely familiar in some context.
I did enjoy the flashback scenes on how these two met and became a couple. I think there is more to this story. For me the story just ended abruptly and I wanted more from the epilogue. I was a little turned off by the fact that Jake kept referring to woman by what’s between their legs. (I kept thinking is she a cat or kitten?) It was funny that Jake wanted this little “surprise” but couldn’t last as long as he wanted it to. Harper putting that in the story made it a little more real for me. How many times in these stories you hear men can go all night? I am glad she made these characters a little more real. Although this story is short it packs a might punch. I just felt somewhere the story fell a little short and it was all happening so quickly leading up to this big moment that the two characters were referring to. I know this is a short read but I felt it was lacking in some areas. All in all I am glad I gave this story a chance. Please judge this book for yourselves and not based on this one review.

This is my third novella by Harper Miller that I've read today. Crazy? Maybe! but I couldn't stop after reading the first. While I certainly enjoyed the first two books in this series, This was my least favorite out of what I've read. I think it's because I didn't connect with the characters as much as I did the first two. I still found it to be an okay story and Harper Miller's writing style still shows through quite strong. As I've already said in my reviews of her work, I really enjoy her style. I'm looking forward to reading the fourth story in the series soon! I will note that she stepped up her 'heat' game in this book!

He connects with a woman who fits his criteria, and they get to know each other in the months leading up to Jake’s return home. And once he gets home, Jake’s in for the surprise of his life. Gabrielle, his little vixen, has invited another woman to join in on the fun.
Entwined is the third installment in The Kinky Connect Chronicles. This story, like the others, is short and hot, just enough to get you going when you need a quick read. Also like the others, the story is written as if it’s a letter to the reader detailing the main character’s experience with the website. The concept is original, and all the stories are well-written, erotic, and allow the reader to experience a little taste of various kinks.
The difference with Entwined was that the kink wasn’t as apparent to me as the first two stories in the series. Jake admitted to a little bit of a Dom complex and liking some kink in his relationships, but it wasn’t until the epilogue, which I won’t spoil for you, that I was really able to understand the kink a little better. The addition of ménage à trios in a F/F/M scenario was plenty kinky, but there was more to the story than that.
Overall, it was another hot installment in the series, and I will definitely read any others Ms. Miller writes. Each story in the series is a standalone, and they can be read in any order.

First things first, the cover!!! Harper Miller book covers are always on point, but this one just blew it straight out of the ballpark! Look at that chick! Pink lingerie, fishnet stockings and her hair???!
Jake is a filthy-mouthed, straight shooter and all around good guy, horny and on the prowl. When we meet him, he’s just boarding a flight for home- the US, after 20 years of service in the military, and he’s eager to be on the cusp of a new start. Especially since he’s “lined up some fine-ass pussy” from our favorite site kinkysinglesconnect.com as a welcome home gift for himself.
Gabrielle is that perfect mix he’s been looking for an introvert willing to try new things; she’s daring and in your face but kind of reticent at times.
I love that when they finally meet, the author builds on the anticipation and the sex scenes practically leave scorch marks on my poor kindle! Do note that there is some m/f/f action, so if that’s not your thing, beware, but it was all pretty well melded together. I love how completely thrown Jake is sometimes it’s so adorable!
And if you’ve read the previous books in the series, you know that the epilogues are always AMAZEBALLS and this one follows the pattern and left me even more in love with this series than before! I can’t wait till the next one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Like seriously, I’m thinking early Christmas present :D)

Welp. Another Hot-n-Dirty little read by Harper.
One thing I love about this series is that it is a veritable grab-bag of goodness. Diverse characters. Diverse kinky sexcapades. Unique little stories centering around a meet-up website.
Every story is well rounded without a word wasted. Complete and so much fun.
Entwined gives us Jake and Gabrielle. They met on Kinky Singles Connect while Jake is stationed overseas -- working on lining up the booty for his return home, as one does.
Gabrielle is FIERCE and knows what she wants. What’s Mr. Alpha macho-man Jake gonna do with a woman who doesn’t so readily bend to his dominant will?
They don’t hook up until Jakes return state-side…and…well, I needed to have a bucket of cold water dumped on my head for all the hotness.
Gabby takes a chance when they finally get together…a big one, even though she knew what she was doing aligned with Jakes kinks. Still, it was their first time after all the long-distance internetting and stuff.
This includes some M/F/F action. Which honestly, isn’t something I generally seek out. It’s not new to me, though, and I don’t say no to much of anything when it comes to erotica.
Y’all…it was seriously H.O.T. Mercy, can Harper bring it.
My most favorite thing about these novelettes are the epilogues on Harper’s website. You feel like a member of a secret little club with a Super Secret Decoder Ring. The epilogues offer more to the story, the flip-side, in another POV…and surprises, lots of surprises that I never would've seen coming. Ya gotta buy the books to get the keys to the kinky castle.

This was one of those story where the cover made me do it. LOL. Yeah, I was sold on the cover even before I'd read the blurb and when it came up for review I had to read.
Jake is on his way back to New York after serving for over twenty years in the Marines. He hasn't been with a woman in a few years so he's really looking forward to getting together with a woman, Gabrielle, who he'd connected with via a kinky dating/hook-up site. They's been chatting for online for a few months and had never met physically since Jake was out in Germany and Gabrielle lived in New York. Gabrielle turns up to Jake's hotel room and the sexy times ensue. But there are a few surprises in store for the couple before the night is over.
This is a quick snack of an erotic read and I finished it in one sitting. The story had a slow start. I guess being in Jake's head and 'listening' to his monologue for about 30% of the book, didn't quite work for me. But once we starting seeing him interacting with Gabrielle, the story got ramped up in action and heat level. Throw in Lola and the heat level goes up another notch.
This is my first time of reading this author and I'll certainly read her books again. If you like your erotica on the short and kinky side they you should grab this book.

So this is a short and sweet book of approx. 100 pages but boy does it pack a punch. This book id ideal if you have a an hour to spare and jut need something to fill the time although I wouldn’t recommend reading it around children as there are so real blush worthy scenes in here! This is an M/F/F book so don’t read if this offends also there is a lot of anal paly in here.
So military man Jake is set to leave the marines after serving his country and is set to go back to his hometown of NYC so decides to get himself a play thing for when he gets home. Jake and Gabby start off with an internet relationship until Jake flies home and meets Gabby in a hotel room and then it is just page after page of hot, dirty, steamy sex. First with just one female Gabby and then Gabbys surprise for Jake comes knocking on the door in the form of Lola and then a hot threesome is had!
The story ends quite suddenly but author does say there is more to come. There isn’t a cliff hanger though which is always a good thing. All in I enjoyed this story but it rely isn’t for the faint hearted the sex is very descriptive and if you aren’t affected by it there is something wrong with you!!

This is the first book I have read by Harper Miller. And I loved it.. Like fall flat on my face puddle of goo love.. This book is defo a naughty lunch time puck me up.. Short and sweet.. But oh so hot..
So you meet Jake.. Military alpha man coming home.. For a little r&r.. His kinky way.. He meet the spitfire and ballsy Gabrielle on the internet.. Jake take charge and gets his way....
Gabby doesn't want f/f relationships only sex.. But Lola came.. And sent the bed sheets into flames..
What I liked about this read is that the characters where older.. I'm a little tired of the 18 year old vigins.. I wanna read about woman who know what they want, how they want it and bang tidy jobs a good um' .. Nice to read something that have more mature characters. As we know life doesn't stop once we hit 30..
This book is hot, steamy and can be read quite quickly. It is also a standalone so can be read on its own as it states this is book 3. I gave the book 4 stars.. Just felt the book was short but annoyed me when it glossed over parts in the book.

What happens when these two finally meet in person after three months of talking back and forth?
Entwined is a novelette of 41 pages in length. As you can imagine there is a lot packed into those 41 pages. I can say that I enjoyed this novelette and it was the first one I've read in the series. I'd love to read the first two Ironic and Renewed. Each novelette is a complete fantasy tale and can be read in any order. Entwined has everything you'd want for a erotic novelette to have. Be warned though Entwined features a F/F/M ménage moment with lesbian sex.

I am ashamed to say that this is the first book I've read from Harper but trust me when I say this will not be my last. I was so happy that I signed up for Entwined. Erotica has always been a hit or miss for me but man this book was everything. I loved that it was so easy to read and of course the hotness was out of this world.
I was happy to see a little back story with the main characters. Just because a story has kink doesn't mean character development should be left out however, Harper did an excellent job introducing her characters and making me love them. In the short little story, I felt like I actually knew the characters and understood their struggles and sudden love for each other. No cliffhangers and no what ifs, I was left finally content and wanting to read more from Harper.

I want to start by saying that it was the awesome book cover that first made me want to read Entwined. its one of those that just stand out and it unlike the typical covers you see a lot of recently...

This novellete is not for "vanilla" readers by no means. From the first words to the last, Entwined is a very explicit story of the culmination of a long distance relationship for Jake and Gabrielle. Jake is a retiring soldier coming home to New York from his last tour of duty. Gabrielle is the girl who is up for "anything" yet looking for love. While the interactions with the characters were obviously explicitly hot, I felt their story needed more. The fifty pages was simply not enough for their declaration of love to be credible. While I can not say that this story was for me, this author has a novellete with definite potential for something more. Best of luck to her.

3 1/2 Platypires for Entwined by Harper Miller
Well! After reading both Ironic and Renewed on the same day, I had to get my hands on Entwined. Now Entwined had some different sex scenes from the previous two books. You gotta have an open mind and be cool with mff stories.
Now that being said, Harper Miller knows how to write some kink and I really enjoyed this one. I just didn't like it as much as the previous two. I think I didn't feel the passion from the beginning. Basically, I wasn't drawn to the couple but I still liked them. I really did like the cover. Can we say HOT??!?!?!
Anyways, this was a good read and I would recommend for others to read.

As far as short reads go, this was a pretty good read. It had a decent story line and I connected with the characters pretty well. I loved all the sexy time scenes and the dirty talk was hot as hell also. There was a bit of humor mixed in, which is always refreshing! I really wished that it had been just a bit more of the 4 months that Jake and Gabrielle were Skyping and chatting via internet But if you are looking for a hot short read, Entwined is a good one.

You're usually reading this story from one person point of view but at the end Harper gives you a sneak peek of you need to know something else. I always need to know something else. It had been awhile since I've read a ménage book and this was my first by Mrs. Miller. I have to say that I LOVED every erotic moment of it. I loved the sarcasm/sense of humor between the two main characters. I have to say I was so jealous that I wish I could just kick her out and put myself in her place because good lord it was H.O.T. Now off to read more dirty ménage by Mrs. Miller.

I loved the latest installment of the kinky chronicles. I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review. Gabrielle and Jake were absolutely hot together. The scenes were hot and they all worked together even with the added bonus of Lola.
