Sing, dance, and clap your hands with your favorite spooky characters in this Halloween-themed twist on the classic children's song "If You're Happy and You Know It"! Collect all the titles in the Nursery Rhyme board book series!
If you’re spooky and you know it,
clap your hands!
If you’re spooky and you know it,
clap your hands!
If you’re spooky and you know it,
and you really want to show it—
if you’re spooky and you know it,
clap your hands!
The monsters in the book all want to show how spooky they are! Filled with spooky skeletons clapping hands, wicked witches stomping feet, hairy werewolves jumping up and down, sneaky vampires nodding heads, naughty mummies snapping fingers, and creepy frankensteins honking noses, little ones will love this frightful, Halloween-themed twist on the song “If You’re Happy and You Know It”!
Time to start getting ready for Halloween (H)...'spooktacular'! H is my favorite holiday; it is right about the same time when you know Summer is really gone, and the weather starts to turn nights into 'two blanket' time when you go to sleep. This would be a great book to read with small children right before going out to T/T!
This is a super-fun Halloween-themed book for storytime! The kids already know the tune (If You're Happy and You Know It), and so we got up and danced and did all the motions as we read the book together. It was a great getting-the-wiggles-out story!
My two boys love this book. My older one asked for this from about the time that he was two until maybe last year. And now my current two-year-old asks for "spooky and you know it" all the time.
As a parent, you know how you always wonder if various things are having an impact on your kids. I do SLIGHTLY wonder if encouraging them to be sneaky, naughty, or wicked is really the best of ideas, but I don't think it's really lodging itself into their brains quite in this way.
I will say that I can get tired of singing this song, and it's a particularly difficult one to "read" when you've got a cold--which I've done many many times.
I'm looking for books to read to my toddlers this month during our story time. This one I came across from another branch and I love it!! It's a tune that they will know and it gets them moving, while being in the "spooky" theme. Really cute, I might need to purchase it for our library patrons to enjoy.
This was the song "if you're happy and you know it" changed to include a Halloween theme. I object to having my 4 year old sing "If you're wicked and you know it" under any context, even Halloween nonsense.
Hmmm...”If you’re wicked and you know it, stomp your feet” and “If you’re naughty and you know it, snap your fingers” aren’t exactly verses I want my kids singing and laughing about.
I absolutely loved this book! I loved how when I read it my students were able to physically participate in the same acts that the spooky characters did! 10/10
